An Awesome Stay!”

I very much enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Jen Tanglin Singapore. It is a well-appointed hotel located very close to both a smaller mall (Tanglin Mall) and Singapore’s shopping street, Orchard Road. The room was very clean, quiet, ample in size, and comfortable in all ways. The bedding was remarkable and I slept extremely well. I did not utilize some hotel facilities, like the pool or fitness center, so I cannot speak to them. But, the second floor bar was a nice respite after a long day out at an off-site conference. The hotel has some construction going on in the lobby area, but it had no real impact on the stay. Lastly, the reception staff was friendly and efficient. I loved the fast check in and check out! When in Singapore, the Hotel Jen Tanglin Singapore will be my first choice!

Traders Hotel Singapore”

I travel the world all the time. I just returned from an around the world trip taking in New York, LA, Melbourne and Singapore. I usually stay at 5 star hotels but in Singapore I stay at the Traders. Let me tell you why: I have been to Singapore around 40 times. I've stayed at most of the 5 star hotels - they are great. However, the Traders matches them but at a significantly lower price. There is nothing about my recent stay that I could fault. The staff is well trained, polite and very friendly. From reception to the housekeeping staff (a wonderful group of people), to the restaurants and security. This is a world class 5 star equivalent but at a terrific price. The hotel understands businessmen. The pool area is great and adjacent to a very nice restaurant which I used for the first time and enjoyed the food immensely. Above I refer to a problem at breakfast. This is how good the hotel management is - the General Manager came out immediately and supervised with the head of his security. It was terrific to see such professionalism. The rooms are not large, but sufficient. The hotel is next to the Tanglin Mall. Good shopping. The best part is that it has a great food hall in the basement - supermarket, chemists, lots of food choice for families. I highly commend this hotel to you. It is part of the Shangri-La group.

Nice business hotel”

It's a nice business hotel, and since it's operated by Shangri-la (I think?) it was a fairly easy decision to stay at this hotel, over dozens of typically more expensive hotels in SG. Pros - Tanglin mall, although it's not the fanciest of all, is right around the corner and I happened to have to go to a clinic during my stay & I was so, so glad a clinic was in the mall. Along with deli, a few interesting interior shops, Scoops where you can buy condiments, cereals and what not, and even Paul, Starbucks and Nandos, hah Cons - Not much to be called a lobby, and there's construction work around the back of the hotel (although, well, if you aren't running loops around the hotel building, it shouldn't be much of a detractor). Lobby floor restrooms were a bit shabby. Overall a good choice. Never used MRT so can't comment on accessibility.

Great location, great amenities, great service”

The room was smaller than it looked in the picture, but nevertheless getting a hotel on Orchard Road during the Winter holidays is challenging enough and I even booked it in Mid-July. Traders Hotel is under the Shangri-La family and as usual, experienced only the most exemplary service during my stay there. It was located off of Orchard Road, which is easily one of the most busiest commercial shopping streets in Singapore. Great location without the commotion. Even when crowds were loud on Orchard Road during Christmas Eve and day, I could still take a quiet nap in my hotel room. Also, the buffet/ cafe where breakfast and high tea was served daily was always busy. I'll be sure to check it out next time I'm there.

Superb location and value for money!”

My mum and I stayed in Hotel Jen Tanglin for 2 nights with my 2 kids. It was enjoyable. We were offered to upgrade our stay to Club Lounge at a discounted price due to hotel renovation. Then we got to check in as early as 6am and check out as late as 2pm. On top of that, we had access to coffee, tea and soft drinks 24 hours. We enjoyed our breakfast and dinner at the Club Lounge (included in the upgraded package) in a private setting on 17th floor. Food was limited but good quality! Would be nice to include some other food such as pasta and rice (usual kids favorite). Overall, it was value for money. Location is superb as it's 5 min walk to Orchard Road where the great shopping is. The room is rather small and no bathtub. But the shower is spacious. Will highly recommend travelers who enjoyed the convenience staying in town, good food and not wanting to spend too much on the rooms.

Trendy, chic and comfortable stay!”

We booked the executive suite at Hotel Jen Tanglin and were pleasantly surprised by how spacious the suite is. The place is clean and furniture is very trendy. There is also ample amenities for a family with young children. Very baby-friendly as they do provide baby bath tub, baby hair chair and baby cot unpin request. Service was excellent during our 3D2N stay at Hotel Jen Tanglin. I would definitely come back again for another staycation!

Great location and Excellent Suite”

We stayed for two days in a small suite -- room with a living area. The place is wonderfully located but not in directly in the midst of Orchard Road near the infamous red light district of Orchard Towers. That's why we like the place a lot. The staff was helpful and provided us with an upgrade as we had booked two separate reservations for consecutive night stay. They were really helpful. Upside -- spacious rooms, firm beds, good hotel amenities. Suite has fridge and an option for 30 Singapore dollar laundry charge per bag as long as you can stuff as much into that one bag and don't mind waiting for the clothes to come back by 12 noon the next day. Connected to Tanglin Mall which as a very decent food court. Also right next to Camden Medical Center. Downsides - not much except freezing cold lobby and location if you want to be very close to the activity of Orchard Rd.

We had the Club Lounge deal. Free 24 hr food available and happy hour. Love every min of our stay.”

For a 4 star hotel this hotel out shines our 5 star Hotels here. Health Club, Pool, Restaurants and Spa is excellent. The staff went out of their way to make our stay fantastic. The hotel is connected to Tanglin Shopping Mall with good cafe, supermarket, food hall and retailers. A short walk to Orchard MRT or if you don't want to walk, a free shuttle bus will take you there. Hotel Jen will be the place to stay every time we are in Singapore.

easiness and cleanliness”

it is very convenience & comfortable staying in Jen Tanglin Singapore for us, as my wife need a routine annual check-up at Gleneagle hospital near by. it is a walking distance. normally I used to stay (1992 - 2003) at the traders or ... this Jen Tanglin by the company I worked before.

Great hotel that value for money”

Although this is a 4 stars hotel but definitely have a 5 stars value in it. The room is lovely and the bed was good. They provide a free Wifi service which is one of the main reasons that I choose Traders Hotel in the first place. The signal is very good and the speed is very fast as well, definitely a good news for guy like myself whom use internet a lot. Their house keeping crews were very friendly and helpful even help us to decorated our room with our own Christmas gift that my girl friend brought over. Although there no comfortable walking distance to the nearest MRT station specially during raining season but they do provide free shutter bus to the nearest MRT station i.e Orchard Station. Again it's around SG$7 - SG$10 for taxi fee to most of the places in Singapore from the hotel.

Great location and service”

a very nice hotel located close enough to Orchard Road but far enough away from the red light district. It's right next to Camden Medical Center so if you are there for medical procedures, it's a great hotel. Also, it's attached to Tanglin Mall which has a pretty good food court. Nice big pool. We really liked our stay at the Hotel Jen Tanglin. Recommend it thoroughly.

Solo holiday and business”

My third stay at Hotel Jen Tanglin, also stayed there with friends a couple of years ago. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms are spotless, bright and modern, beds are very comfortable, breakfast buffet is excellent. Service in club lounge is exceptional. Shuttle bus to Orchard Road on regular basis and beautiful pool set in quiet gardens with good quality shopping mall next to hotel.

Excellent”

Obviously the hotel is pretty outdated even with the recent renovation they had. I stayed in this hotel twice given its walking location to my Singapore office. Rooms were small-- I mean really small. What I like from Jen Tanglin is the friendliness of the staff and of course their extensive breakfast and Sunday brunch buffet!!!!!

Loved It, Will Be Back...”

This beautiful hotel is literally connected to the Tanglin Mall - which provides a very good food court, supermarket and drustore/pharmacy in addition to many specialty shops, and is open until 10 PM. Orchard Road is also a short walk away - I didn't use the complimentary shuttle bus, but it's there for those who need it. Hotel is clean and comfortable, everything was in tip-top condition and perfect working order, fast free in-room internet, check in/out very swift and efficient. I got an amazing promotional rate on Agoda for a weekend stay at this hotel, and absolutely did not feel I recieved lesser service or accomodations because of the discount - everything was as good as I'd expected from the great reviews I've read for Traders, and the staff was truly gracious and accomodating. If deep weekend discounts are Traders' plan for luring in new loyal customers - I must stay it works. I'd stay here again in a minute, even if I have to pay the market rate next time.

Convenient and stylish hotel ”

It is the first time we have stayed in the hotel Jen. It is very convenient for us as our son and his family live nearby. It is great for the botanical gardens and a shortish walk to Orchard Road. The room is very clean and has up to date decor and lighting. The other thing we were delighted with was the Handy phone. You could make international calls free of charge and use the phone to find out about the city. We are in Australia for 3 weeks and returning to Singapore for a further week in the Hotel Jen.

My 1st choice Hotel along Orchard Road”

I love the central location at the top of Orchard Road, and its close enough to the shopping strip of Orchard Road. The food court at Tanglin Mall offers a variety of local fare which offers tourists a pleasant introduction to local food at very affordable prices. There are plenty of greens and trees in the vicinity and offers a tropical feel to guests. Although Singapore is a dense city, the hustle and bustle of Orchard Road seem to bypass the hotel.

Great place to stay at Singapore”

The room was clean and very spacious. I loved the interior of the room and the furnishings. They allowed us early check in and even offered to keep our bags after check out too. the place is connevted to tanglin mall and near bus stops and the British council. we walked to and from Hotel Jen to Orchard road so this is definitely a great place to stay at

Pleasant and accomodating staff”

We stayed overnight at Hotel Jen and it was hassle free from check-in to check-out. We were greeted by Ms. Gem and she made sure that everything was already ready upon our arrival. Clean rooms and nice selection of food in their restaurant located in the lobby. There is also a mall located at the back of the hotel for shopping and leisure. It is also accessible to Orchard station and changi airport by using their public transportation. The duty manager in the afternoon, Ms. Kathleen, also made sure that our stay would be pleasurable as possible by welcoming our queries and requests. I also particularly like their uniform that comes with a badge as their name tags, it gives them like a sheriff look with an approachable feel , very modern and trendy.

A well-known Orchard road landmark”

Previously known as the Travelers Hotel, this hotel is tailor-made for the needs of all types of travellers, be it business, leisure or family. Check in was fast and hassle free and the rooms are among the best you can find in Singapore when it comes to space, furnishings and cleanliness. However it is the night life that is of great interest to all as it is beside the many shopping centres at Tanglin Road and Orchard Road with all sorts of dining, clubbing, shopping and leisure activities for travellers from all walks of life. Truly a great place to stay!!!

Very nice economy version of Shangri-la”

Traders Singaore is an excellent scaled down version of Shangri-la. It's got Shangri-la class staff, service, and near Shangri-la class room and hotel facilities. The pool and the bed esp are excellent. The only trade off is the size of the room which is considerably smaller than a full Shangri-la class one. The price of course reflects all this and I consider it very good value for money.
