OK place. Great breakfast. Very helpful staff.
Room had a strong smell but thankfully had a window we could open. Toilet ran constantly and shower drain was very slow and shower never got hot. However, it was decent overall. The breakfast was really great and the staff were very helpful.

Nice hotel and super-helpful staff
We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. The room is quite big and confortable. The staff were super-kind and helpful. They provided us a fantastic guide to visit the different hilltribes villages. Breakfast was ok, The wifi connection didnt work properly all the time, but this is quite normal in Myanmar. The hotel is a little bit far away from the city center but the hotel manager is very very kind and sometimes he provided us with a car to pick up us to downtown. They also pick up the clients from the airport for free. We spent a beautiful days in this hotel and this city. We never forget this experience!!

The first hotel that gave me a birthday cake
The Winner Hotel in Kalaw is conveniently located near the main road through Kalaw and there were many tea shops nearby. Kalaw's better restaurants were within easy walking distance. The Winner had everything needed for a hotel. I arrived at the Winner Hotel in Kalaw one day before my birthday and the following morning was presented with a birthday cake in the lobby. This was certainly a surprise and has never happened in any other hotel I've stayed in. That the lady manager (I forget her name), noted that detail during registration give you an idea of the hospitality and consideration provided by this hospice. I highly recommend the Winner.

Hotel of a thousand Welcomes
Myself and my friend stayed here in December, and we truly had the best experience. Ye Myint Aung, the owner is a true ambassador for Myanmar - interested in his country's culture and a genuine host to his guests. He went out of his way to ensure we had experienced all Keng Tung has to offer. The hotel is beautifully kept also. It is not in the centre of town but it's only a short walk and the staff are always on hand to offer you a lift. Best hotel stay in Myanmar!

Best quality you can find in Keng Tong
Not the best location but room is clean and new, they have AC but we didn't use it, the room was cozy. Most importantly, the toilet was not smelly.

A nice play to stay.
Very friendly & helpful staff. The manager was very helpful as well, helping me find a friend of his to take me round the tribal villages. I would recommend a stay here.

Nice little hotel, somewhat out of town
pros. Good value for money, clean and pleasant Staff went out of way to Make us feel comfortable. Decent breakfast. From conversations with other travelers we had best overall accommodations in town if don't mind the distance. Owner drove us into town for dinner and even waited for us to drive us back - and refused to take any money for the service! Cons. Room had wall to wall windows but they were dirty on outside so couldn't see out of them well! 2 km from downtown but hotel owner drove us wherever we wanted Would Stay there again.

A little far from the town center, but a great place to stay
A long walk to the center of town, but the very kind manager was willing to drive me around and even picked me up at the airport. The room was spotlessly clean, and a good value, especially by the somewhat overpriced Myanmar standards. Staff doesn't speak much English, but they're very friendly and polite and I had a fun time learning Burmese from them. The manager is a pretty low-key guy, but he's very friendly and knowledgeable about the area around Kengtung as well as other places. He's full of interesting historical facts about the region too. He was very eager and willing to drive me places. He even showed me the snack food packaging business that he operates next door, which I found quite interesting. The hotel Is fairly close to the station for the minibuses that go to and from Tachileik. Don't let the distance from the town center scare you off, this is a great place to stay and I highly recommend it.

Fantastic place that I call second home
The room is big and clean with bottled water and toiletries provided. There's hot water and wifi and the hotel has own generator when the city electricity stopped. The staffs are friendly and tried their best to assist with their limited English. I was always greeted at the door with ice cold water whenever I returned after a trek with my guide. Breakfast is provided daily with option of fried rice, noodle or toast and the owner gives me option to bring me to the central market for breakfast. Location is about 5-10mins to the city centre but the owner drives me almost everywhere when he's free. He brought me around some sights in the city, Paluang village and the hot spring on my first day at no cost. He brought me to a clinic when I needed medication for my cough. He also drove me to all my dinner places. I missed my flight to Yangon at no fault of his but he offered me an extra night stay and also brought me to Loi Mwe on the day I missed my flight. I was treated as a valued friend.
