Great hotel in a great location”

Close to Robinsons for shopping and restaurants, LRT [Light Train Transport]

If you go to Manila you can stay in Makati, the new "business" Manila or Malate, the old Manila located on Manila Bay and the best hotel to stay at in Malate is the Kimberly. It is a short stroll from Manila Bay and all the intriguing restaurants, antique shops and cafes set amid the gracious residential architecture of the quieter past. Apart from the Kimberly's great location, the rooms are large and comfortable. The decor is is simple and livable. The service is discrete and courteous at all times and the price of the accommodation at this hotel makes it the best value we have ever had in hotels. We have stayed here many times over the past 18 months and I could not recommend a hotel more highly. From the front rooms, the views of the Malate skyline are fantastic, day and night. There are blind singers on the road close by to the hotel and these wonderful voices will keep entertained on any evening you choose to stay in.

The best hotel in Malate ”

Big rooms, Quiet location, Nearby to everything, Safe, Freindly staff, Strong WiFi

stayed in this hotel nearly 15 times i think and every time i stay i notice the hotel keeps getting better!. ive stayed at all the surrounding hotels in malate/ermita and the kimberly is #1. even my stays at the the dusit thani or intercontinental manila have not been as enjoyable or value for money as the kimberly hotel. this trip i attended with my wife and upon check-in we were immediately upgraded to a superb premiere suite, such a nice gesture. the room was fantastic the staff so professional and the restaurant food was amazing. my next visit to manila i will be staying at the kimberly hotel.

Superb Service and Great Location”

Allowance of early check-in at 6am without additional charge where room is available.

Kimberly Manila is located with the amenities. Near the Robinson Shopping mall, LRT and 30mins from the airport. Hotel room is cleaned, the service staff are also friendly and helpful. The only short fall is the buffet breakfast which they do not have a variety spread on the buffet breakfast. But the room service menu offered a much more succulent food. They even have massage service available up to your room at a very reasonable rate. As a whole my stay at Hotel Kimberly Manila is pleasant and perfect, they met all my basic minimum needs:(1)reasonably good room rate (2)early check-in with no extra charge (3)good amenities (4)come with mini fridge (5)availability of room service (6)clean lobby, clean room with friendly & helpful service staff

Great Location, Early Check-in!”

Near Mall, Bars, Tourist Spots, Everything is an LRT, Taxi, Jeepney Ride Away

This is the 2nd time we've stayed in the hotel and it was great that they allow early check-in. We arrived at around 730AM and they allowed us to check-in at no extra cost! What I love about the hotel is its just a few steps from Robinson's Place Mall where you could get anything. 7-eleven and Mini Stop are on every block, there are also nearby fastfood retaurants (Jollibee, Sinangag Express). The nightlife is great since its just a few blocks away from the bars and restaurants of Malate. LRT is also accessible, just 1-2 blocks away so you could go anywhere in Manila from there. The free breakfast is also good, with assortments of Filipino and western food, but there were few choices now than back when we first stayed. The room service menu is also good since they have an in-house restaurant (Cafe K). If ever I'll be staying again in Manila, I'll be sure to be back in Hotel Kimberly!

Excellent”

I booked this hotel through booking.com and made changes through agoda for some personal reason, I am supposed to have cancellation fee but Hotel Kimberly made it possible not to discounted any cent from my credit card. I have been scouting restaurants in Ermita and Malate and the reason for our stay is to hop on those vintage and popular ones. The hotel was very SPACIOUS, CLEAN and the customer service are perfect, I have read that some might complain on the customer service that they are providing but I guess they are entirely wrong because of the many people checking in, the front desk are doing their very best to attend to all of the customers and oftentimes they have to give them their demands as well. It was well maintained, my request of room description and location were made possible. The FOOD were great and everything else. I will be coming back as I haven't finished the great restaurants for 3 days. I Love Hotel Kimberly :)

Surprise in a good location”

Kimberley was a bit of surprise. It is located 100 m from Robinson's in Malate and I thought it would be perhaps noisy but in fact it was very quiet. The room (exec Suite): was nice - had most things I needed except a few more bowls and a bottle opener would be welcome. Room was very clean and bed was comfortable. Staff were great and very accommodating in terms of my needs. Wifi was good and very adequate for work - way better than the other higher end hotels I have stayed at in Manila. I would definitely return to Hotel Kimberly

Worth the money”

I have repeatedly stayed at Kimberly. It is close to my business area along Taft Avenue and Pedro Gil. I don't have to take a taxi. It is close, too, to shopping malls and dining areas. Perfect! Staff are just a bunch of wonderful people that make feel at home and comfortable. One thing, I enjoy eating inside the hotel. Some of the menus even beat first class hotels and the price is just one half I pay.
I didn't see any swimming pool, and I wish there is a small business office where one could use a computer when the nearby internet cafes are closed. Add some more refreshments in their menu that are more American/European such as cakes etc. Improve their wine selection.

I find the place suitable to my needs. I am an American raised in the Philippines which means the hotel Kimberly could meet both international and local tastes. I find staying at the Hotel Kimberly worth my money that is why I referred to a couple of friends from the U.S. and they stayed there already and convinced that is the hotel where they want to stay when they are in Manila. If some more improvements will be made, I want to see a swimming pool since the Philippines is a tropical country. Keep watching the price to make sure it is competitive. I like the occassional promo the hotel offers. I will stay again, for sure. Fred

Enjoyed our stay”

We spent New Year's Eve at the Executive Suite of the Hotel Kimberly Manila and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was quite spacious with a huge living room and a bedroom with a sliding door, 2 TV sets, a dining table and a working kitchen with 2 stoves and some basic kitchen utensils. The bathroom was also nice and had a bathtub. The location was very accessible, just less than 5 minutes away from the LRT Pedro Gil station and near the Robinson's Place Mall. The staff were very courteous and were quick to assist us with any concern. They even had a fireworks display during our stay which we got to watch from our room which had a nice view of the Manila landscape. Would definitely stay here again.

Enjoyable Experience”

Friendly and helpful staff, great location - close to Robinsons Mall and reasonably close to airport, comfortable room.

Hotel Kimberly was recommended to us by a family member, and we had a wonderful stay. My husband and I were travelling with a 2-yr-old & a 72-yr-old and the location meant we didn't have to sit for too long in Manila traffic for anything we wanted to do (ie. Robinsons Mall, Lunetta, MOA, airport). The staff were brilliant - couldn't do enough for us. My daughter really enjoyed all the attention from the lovely ladies at the front desk. A really good price too for a comfortable room in a great location. My 72-yr-old mother has already stayed there again since our first trip. I plan to do the same next time we visit Manila.

Friendly Hotel”

The hotel is next to the Light Rail Transit (LRT) Station and Robinson Mall. Pedro Gil is the street it's on and very busy but has a lot of stores, street vendors and Internet cafes. Hotel room is modest but comfortable.
Lower floors are nosier, elevator is slow but worth the time if you want to stay on a quieter higher floor. Hot water takes a while to heat up.

Overall the Hotel Kimberly is an economy hotel that is right smack dab in the heart of the Malate District. Bars, shopping and spas are all within walking distance and the Internet WiFi in the hotel is reasonable, 100 Pesos for an hour. The LRT station is nearby and will connect you to all of the major shopping malls of Manila. If you're looking for a nice place to spend your day, this is not your hotel but if you just need a place to rest at night, then this is perfect!

Great Stay in Manila”

Hotel Kimberly is situated at the heart of Manila. Its proximity to different Philippine landmarks and gimmick areas is the main reason why we booked at this hotel. The room was luxurious. We comfortably slept in their family deluxe room. The breakfast was superb and the customer service was exceptional. Their representatives were always willing to extend their helping hands in making our stay hassle-free. We would definitely book again in December.

strong wifi - good size lcd tv - easy to get taxis - no street peddlers - good size rooms -

my only choice for when im looking for a hotel in the metro manila district, ive stayed at all the other surrounding hotels and none of them can match what the kimberly hotel offers. the deluxe rooms are very nice and are recommended if your spending more time in the hotel. however if your staying in a superior room you will notice these are also larger than expected.

Good renovated rooms, good location, NO free wate”

recently renovated, good value

okay so we all know ermita/malate is a sleazy and dodgy area with an army of child-beggars and homeless people camping on the streets at night, but as there is all the infrastructure a traveler needs, most people still decide to stay here. hotel located a stone-throw away from robinson's ermita mall, the centrepoint of the area. rooms have been recently renovated and are in good condition. street noise is bearable (if u need complete silence, u better stay away from ermita/malate). free wifi comes in handy, speed acceptable. staff very friendly, and the manager was around and asking guests (me included) if everything was okay (which i could confirm - to the manager's delight - was the case). my room did not include bf, so can not comment on the quality of food there. i have been staying at many different places in malate/ermita over the years, and this one must have been the best value for money i had. definitely recommended and i wonder why it is not always fully booked.

Excellent location, good service

the location of the hotel is excellent. located right at the city centre, close to the robinson mall and the nearest lrt station (pedro gil) is just about 5 mins walk. lots of jeepneys around the place and plenty of taxi passing by the hotel. the rooms are neat and tidy. i am satisfied with the bed and the cleaniness of the bathroom. there is free wifi at each floor, but the signal may be weak in some rooms (stayed 3 nights altogether, wifi in one room ok, the last night stay in another room the signal strength was very weak.)the buffet breakfast is okay considering i paid total including tax 60usd per room per night (twin room shared by two). there are fresh fruits, juices, salad, hot dishes, omelets, etc. the services are great and the staff are all very friendly and polite. if you are looking for a convenient place to explore the manila city, this should be one of the best to stay. i will book this hotel again if i come to manila the next time.

Size of room / what you get for money vs. other Manila hotels / Comfort of Room

Have stayed several times in Kimberly. It's the best value for what paying I've found in a manila. The rooms are big and comfortable. Thick walls so it's quite quiet like a cave. 30" flatscreen TV, fast internet, big bathroom. Comfortable beds. Most of Malate area feels quite seedy but Robinson's place just 5 mins walk down Pedro Gil is good for shopping, eating, movies. Good variety of Food along adriatico street, especially some korean restaurants as well as a Lebanese place.
