great base for exploring venice”
we staying here 3 nights and its a great base for venice, 5-10 mins walk up athe main street, to the vaperetto, and there are plenty of places to eat and drink on the lido main street, hotel breakfast was typical continental, and it was nice to eat in the gardens, wifi worked fine and was free, room was clean and tidy, air con was nice, and there was even a mini fridge in the room. would stay here again if coming to venice

We were upgraded from double room in hotel to an apartment down the road from the main hotel which was amazing big place with lovely gardens - sleeps 4 as double bed and sofa bed which my son used - said it was comfortable and I can say the Kingsize bed was very comfortable. Had a little kitchenette there with fridge, dish washer - my only criticism was there was no batteries in TV remote which did mention next day and the WiFi wasn't explained to us until asked and took many attempts of trying different numbers as password is not marked clearly on box... My suggestion would be for owner to do a little manual. Otherwise lovely place and would say 9.5 out of 10 and breakfast was great - loads of it too with lovely smiley staff! Would like to return again one day we liked the place so much & location couldn't be better too!

Quiet location with noisy mozzies”
It never crossed my mind that any hotels in Venice would be bad, but boy was I wrong. It was summer when I arrived Lido, Venice so the heat was expected. What was not was the faulty air-conditioning - so I had to open the windows and of course I just had to have a mozzie bite right on my right eye causing me to have a Quasimodo eye situation (no offence), especially when it was advertised that it was just newly renovated, which the laminated bedroom flooring, furniture and toilet fixtures were testament of. But the comparison stopped there. Expect to not have daily changes of towels (they only change in every 3 days and if you need additional new ones before then, they are chargeable), empty mini fridges, very limited supply of soaps even for a double room, un-lined dirty bins, flies around the food during breakfast and small, not very well-dusted rooms... Not that it mattered much, but there was no lifts as well, so do pack light and no official receipts were issued upon check-out. Instead I had to insist on at least a cash receipt which I couldn't even get for paying for the WIFI! Lido may be famous for the Venice Film Festival but Jolie, John Woo and Pitt definitely were not guests of La Pergola. It was more like someone visited the wax museum of Madame Tussaud's and came back with the grandiose notion that they were real celebrities.

La Pérgola is really nice and clean and the staff was kind with us, especially the guy that was at the reception when we got there ( I don’t know his name). I definitely recommend this place!

There was no wifi in the room,needed to confirm fights, ask Edward(front desk) for help to use a desk top in lobby area because it was unpluged, his responded was "he has his work to do too,just wait"(customer service is not in his dictionary,I presumed)

Room on the 3rd floor - hopeless”
We got a room on the 3rd floor with a sloping ceiling. You could not straighten up, the holidays turned into a nightmare. This way we met another Italian who does not treat his clients seriously. I do not recommend when the owner visits our country, we have prepared for him also special "room" It feels similar to us, money was lost and vacation was broken. Actually, we should call the police, we will place the pictures wherever possible, want to warn others.

Defektes Leselicht wurde nach Hinweis am nächsten Tag repariert. Kühlschrank hat ohne Ankündigung plötzlich gefehlt. Ein neuer erst auf Drängen nach zwei Tagen wieder eingebaut. Frühstück sehr bescheiden. Der eigentlich schöne Innenhof leider ungepflegt. Auch für den vergleichsweise günstigen Preis darf mehr Engagement vorallem hinsichtlich der Sauberkeit erwartet werden.

Hotel liegt zentral aber hinter drei Nebenstrassen. Durch Beschilderung aber zu finden. Lieder sind die Zimmer nicht sauber: Haare und Schmutz am Boden. Beim Frühstück gibt es nur Automatenkaffee.

Tutto perfetto”
È un albergo ideale per la vacanza al Lido di Venezia! Per godere tutte le bellezze della isola stessa, per girare ovunque in laguna, per visitare il centro di Venezia... Lo staff è gentilissimo e professionale, in camera non manca niente, e poi basta chiedere e lo staff cerca sempre di aiutare. La posizione più che perfetta! Due passi dalla spiaggia, tre passi dalla fermata dei vaporetti (il Lido è raggiungibile anche di notte senza problemi) Spero di tornarci più presto possibile! Grazie!
