Excellent hotel, well placed for visiting HK”

Modern, clean, prodessional and efficient personnel, adequate breakfast, 24 hours service, sense of security.

Our worries about this hotel created by certain comments on websites were quickly dissipated. The hotel is new, clean and calm. The breakfast is largely adequate. Positionned outside of the main centres is not a problem, the MTR, buses and trams being a 5 minutes walk away through interesting and safe roads and taxis costing only (2 euros) to get to the centre. We stayed twice at this hotel in December 2011, leaving for a Christmas break in the Philippines and even extended our stay. The first stay for 3 nights was in a "Luxury King" room on the 18th floor. We knew that the specified square footage was small, and indeed the room was small. Then again, we only slept there, devoting our stay to visiting Hong Kong. For the second stay for 3 nights we were upgraded to a suite on the third floor. We extended our stay to a total of 5 nights. The suite comprised of a bedroom and a lounge. More expensive than the Luxury King, but so much bigger. Think carefully about the price differences and look out for a deal as prices vary considerably. The bedroom was much bigger than the Luxury King and the well equipped lounge was as big. Both rooms were of outstanding modern design, clean, comfortable and had excellent beds and linen. In both rooms we were supplied with free bottles of water, had a tea/coffee facility, a fridge, a safe, a television (two in the suite), an efficient A/C. The unexpected plus was a large presentation box of toiletries containing an exceptional selection of everything you can imagine. The personnel were extremely professional and sought to respond to customers needs. Very well groomed and smart in harmony with the modern hotel facilities. Greetings and smiles, good looking too, and very efficient. This is certainly a high class performance. A 24 hour presence at the reception and at the entrance. We think we met the owners who were also eager to help with customer service. We enjoyed stayin here and felt at home, safe and in good h

We were a bit nervous about the 3 star rating, but LBP exceeded all our expectations. ”

the Room is quite small at you’d expect for the price, but very clean and well appointed. We were on the 19th floor with a good view out towards the mountain. Even though it is so central and right in the thick of the coolest part of Hong Kong, it was nice and quiet. The sign said the windows can’t be opened, but they actually open very easily, so we preferred to sleep without the aircon going. The rest of the time the room was a cool haven away from the bustle of Hong Kong life (32 degrees while we were there!). The staff were very helpful and friendly. Jo Jo recommended local restaurants and gave good directions and also there is a great service where they lend a local phone to you with unlimited Wifi, which we used as a hotspot. This is a brillliant scheme, which was also free (we paid a refundable deposit). All this and free coffee! There is a Nespresso machine in the lobby, where you can sit in the cool to recharge (literally and figuratively!), or a gorgeous shady balcony

nice hotel ”

lcoation is closer to MTR and some other places.

It was great exploring the city of hong kong i love their transportation confusing at first but if you plan to go for the first timer please study the transportation system. This is for my own point of view I mean u can take a cab but boring no thrill at all but be careful of taxi driver they will rip you off if they know your new in town. some of it not every taxi driver. they charge 22.00 HK DOLLAR as for staring rate then 1.50 for every 2 kilometers if I'm not mistaken. Base on my experience when i get there this taxi driver charge 40.00 bucks for a 5 mins drive down to my hotel which is really closer to MTR but it was raining and no time to look for a map so i took this taxi. then the last one he charge me 38.00 dollar but the rate showed 30.00 something and he told me why he charge 38.00 bucks because i have a luggage. and by the way use OCTOPUS CARD TO GO AROUND if you plan to take a bus or train, and you can use that card buying stuff even at starbucks and 7 eleven. the hotel is CLOSER from train station .5 MINS WALK from MTR. STATION SHEUNG WANG STATION EXIT A and from there just walk towards queens road west .For my last word i will going back to HONG KONG to explore more .

Good standard, modern room with all the amemeties”

Room, staff, location

The Hotel LBP is a pretty stylish, modern hotel centerally located with easy access to public transport and within easy reach of restaurants and bars. The staff were very friendly and efficient. We arrived on an early morning flight so we reached the hotel at about 9:30am, obviously well before check-in, but the staff said that they would look after our bags while we went for a coffee and they'd have a room ready for us by 11am; for which we were very grateful. The room was clean and modern. Although not large (reasonably large by Asian standards, small by European or American) the room had all the facilities you could need, desk, comfortable bed, TV, fridge, safe, complimentary water, and a wonderful bathroom with a great shower; a necessity in Hong Kong summertime. Breakfast wasn't wonderful but not bad either. There was a good selection of fruits, cereal, yoghurt, etc. but the hot food was pretty average. This wasn't a big problem for us as we wanted to go out for dim sum anyway and you don't expect the world at this price point. The have two computers in the restaurant area for customers to use the internet and WiFi in the rooms. Also, we were leaving on a late (2am flight) and they let leave our bags to go sightseeing and gave us complimentary use of the shower facilities in the business suite in the evening. Originally they said we could have the room for an hour but the guy on the front desk said since nobody else was using it, we could just chill out there until we needed to leave (thanks mate). Overall a good hotel that I would definitely recommend. good value, good location, good staff. Nothing to complain about at all.

the best hotel ever!”

I thought a lot between Ibis and LBP. My conclusion is LBP is better if you give up Harbor View. The Ibis hotel is narrower, more humid, and less water pressure. But LBP is not. Soft drinks & coffee in the lobby were free. Furniture was a bit old, but very clean. The amount of amenity was sufficient. It is close to Starbucks, Seven-Eleven, Welcome Mart, Tram station, Macau Ferry terminal, Sai Ying Pun MRT station(2-5 minutes away). There were a new mart and Mannings right next to the hotel. The best part was the staff. Who helped check in and check out were really friendly and good English speaker. I was thankful for her careful attention. If I visit Hong Kong next time, I'll make a reservation at the LBP hotel again.

My family and I had a lovely, comfortable stay.”

Friendly and attentive staff, value for money, comfortable and well-designed rooms

My family and I loved our stay at Hotel LBP. It's centrally located, with easy-access to different forms of transportations be it the MTR, buses, trams, or cabs. It's a few minutes away from the Macau Terminal as well. The staff were all nice, especially the breakfast ladies who would greet us warmly every morning. It's a relief to find a hotel that would serve a buffet breakfast before we embark on our tour each day. We booked two rooms and requested on the 19th floor facing Queen's Road and they complied easily upon our check-in. Our rooms on the top floor had a quiet environment and a fantastic city view in the evenings. The rooms are well-designed, and just about the right size, with the most comfortable pillows imaginable. The bathrooms are clean, complete with toiletries that are replenished every day. It was my sister's birthday during our stay, and when we returned from our day tour, there was a birthday cupcake and a small gift depicting her animal sign awaiting her in her room. It showed they researched about their guests, and was indeed a nice touch that made our stay even more pleasant. I can't wait to return to this hotel when I come back in Hong Kong.

Good Location and Great hotel Staff”

Hotel staff, reasonable price, good location

After doing research, we booked this hotel due to feedback which all turned out to be true. The staff will do anything to help you including giving you umbrellas to use, good directions, making afternoon coffee, and snacks. The breakfast buffet provides plenty of variety to fill up (cereal, lots of fruit, hard-boiled eggs, bakery items, juices, coffee, tea). They upgraded us from a standard to a deluxe room for no charge. To get there from the airport, buy tickets for the Airport Express (vending machine or customer service at airport) to Hong Kong station on the island, then take the shuttle bus to Hotel Ibis. I recommend some currency exchange at the airport also. The hotel is a short walk from there (go to nearest cross street, turn left, walk 1 short block, turn left, go 1 more block and hotel will be on right near intersection. Cabs are cheap but most don't know this hotel but they do know Hotel Ibis. The bed was king size and was a typical firm mattress found in Asia hotels, reasonably comfortable at least for us. There's a great Vietnamese restaurant on nearby Possession St, the variety platter B feeds 2 easily. Antique district and also a great little park are nearby on Hollywood Rd. Sheung Wan subway station is a 10 min walk and Star Ferry Pier to Kowloon side is about a 20 minute walk. Not the best location if you came to Hong Kong to go shopping for clothes.

Above expectation”

Room comfort, service and location

Our expectations were exceeded at LBP. Hong Kong can offer very small rooms but not at LBP. They are a very reasonable size for Hong Kong. The room was comfortable and modern. The bed was amazing - Asian style firm mattress with a soft pillow top. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for the staff. Their English was good and they gave a full explanation of the hotel upon checking in. I asked to use the iron and ironing board and they refused to let me carry it up to my room myself. It came up that I was going to Macau for the day so they made sure I had all the info for Macau. Next time I am in Hong Kong I will definately stay at Hotel LBP.

Great Location, Great Service, Great Value”

Space and Service

We have been to Hong Kong a few times and decide to experiment on hotels. My wife has this thing about trying out botique hotels. So this trip, we split the 4 days, staying 2 days here and 2 days in a known Hotel Chain. LBP did not disappoint. For the price of a deluxe room in most hotel, I was able to book their platinum sweet which was very room (the biggest room we ever had in HK). It came with a small kitchen with a full size ref, microwave, sink and kitchen ware. It had a small living area and a separate bedroom and bath. The bedroom alone is already the size of other hotel rooms. I wish they had a bathtub though. Most hotels do not offer free breakfast anymore but LBP made an effort in offering a free simple breakfast of various breads, cereals, fruits, hard boild eggs, and coffee and tea. Anytime you can get free soda from the receiving area. We were able to socialize with other guest in their social/breakfast hall and everyone seems pretty happy and content about the hotel. The staff is very helpful, everyone.

Nice and affordable hotel”

Nice, clean and comfy rooms

To get to this hotel, you can take the airport express to Hong Kong Station and then hop on the free shuttle bus H1 to Ibis Hotel and walk from there. Location of the hotel is very convenient, about 10 mins walk from Sheung Wan MRT (exit A2). Was upgraded to the Business Suite on the 21st floor and the room was super clean and comfortable. The price is also very reasonable given the room size and other Hong Kong Hotels. Only downside is that shops around Shueng Wan area close early, so there is nothing much to see/ eat at night.

the room was quite big enough. i do not think it is easy to find such a big enough room with reasonable price in honng kong. moreover, the location is very good, which is near to central and sheung wan. i usually got off at central station and walked along the hollywood road in soho. the staff is the most impressive part in this hotel. they are so so supportive, kind, and very considerate. whenever i visit hong kong from now, i will definately stay at this cozy and nice hotel.

Great Stay”

Breakfast, spacious room, kind staff

We stayed at the Hotel LBP for two nights and three days. Overall, we couldn't be more satisfied with the room condition and services of the hotel. We got a free upgrade from business suite to platinum suite, so it was more than enough room for us to stay. Plus, meals they offer for breakfast was much better than we were expecting. Every staff was nice and professional. Though it is about ten minutes of walk from the Sheung Wan station, it wasn't at all bad. Glad we could stay at this hotel. We'd definitely stay here again if we visit Hong Kong later.

this is a really nice (brand new) hotel located in the sheung wan district of hong kong island. great location only being a few minutes walk from the mtr station. originally booked the cheaper 'luxury king' room but was pleasantly surprised when checking in, i was upgraded to a 'business room' for no extra charge. the room was of a decent size (for hong kong) and had a seperate kitchen/living room complete with a large flat screen tv and dvd player (dvds available to rent, free of charge). also included in the price was a buffet style breakfast.

I got a special through Agoda and scored the Platinum Suite for less than a normal room. In a city full of high priced shoe box hotel rooms, this was like having our own little apartment. Plenty of space, separate living area (with kitchenette) and bathroom. Only real criticism is that the kitchenette didn’t have a microwave. Huge shower which is also not usual for Hong Kong hotels at this price range. Will definitely consider booking there again when I return to Hong Kong.

Gorgeous compact apartment - beautifully appointed”

Exceptional service - high class suites - lovely breakfast & beautiful smiles

From the moment of arrival to our departure the wonderful service of great staff. After eight weeks of travel the LBP was a welcome quiet change with some quite luxurious touches that one would normally find in 5* hotels without the ridiculous price-tags. It suited us to be within walking distance to ferries but if you wish to be in the centre of Hong Kong naturally this district may not suit you Otherwise highly recommended. Monica & Peter Monk

Value for money, great staff performance”

Great staff performance, good location, comfortable room

I really like my stay at Hotel LBP. It may not looked like your ordinary and usual hotel. But trust me, they have a group of dedicated staffs that are willing to make sure your stay is comfortable and enjoyable. The hotel is about 10 mins walk from Sheung Wan MTR and located very near to Ibis Hotel. There is a supermarket probably less than 1 min walk from the hotel. When you entered the building there is a person assigned at the lobby to make sure you are a guest and he will direct you to level 4 where you do your check in. Security checked. I was attended by a lady called Pepsi which is by the way a cool name. Checking in was a breeze and true enough she was there when I checked out and again it was no hassle at all. My initial choice was Holiday Inn Express Hong Kong Soho but my fingers were not fast so in order to be near my friend I choose Hotel LBP not only for the near proximity to Holiday Inn but also for its price. I certainly did not made a wrong choice. It is no wonder why Hotel LBP has won a few awards. I booked a luxury room but was promptly informed that the hotel have upgraded me to the business suite (which is a first for me). I truly appreciate what Hotel LBP has done for me. Business Suite really makes one feel right at home and it is really big for one person. Basic amenities are provided like safe and a fridge. There are even 2 televisions. I am definitely not disappointed with my stay at Hotel LBP. Even though my hotel provided me with breakfast but I did not went and try because simply there are a lot of great food in Hong Kong. I will really recommend Hotel LBP to anyone who wish to look for a hotel that is value for money and a place that is convenient to reach the MTR.

Great Stay at Hotel LBP”

location, staff, wifi

We had an excellent stay at Hotel LBP over Christmas. The location is fantastic - a short walk to the MTR or an easy walk to Soho or Central if you want. Stick with Soho for antiques and random stuff, Central for high end shopping. The area is quieter than just outside of it, which we really enjoyed. There were still some great restaurants just a short walk away between Soho and Central (we liked Noodlemi, Volume HEAT, and Tangerine). The rooms are small, but functional and clean. Great showers in the bathroom - good pressure and fairly consistent hot water. The wifi was free and fast. We like that breakfast was included. There is enough variety to get your day started, but when they run out of something, they are usually out for the rest of breakfast. One morning, they had about 1 small serving of granola left, and I wanted to put it on my fruit and yogurt, but they had it behind the counter and wouldn't let me use it. I don't know why... Overall, a great stay though. Staff are almost all very friendly and say hello when they see you. The cost is high for other cities, but very reasonable for Hong Kong!

Excellent value and service”

Clean, modern, convenient

We stayed here for our last night in Hong Kong and it was great. The room was a reasonable size (we were actually put into the wheelchair accessible room so in fact the dimensions were quite spacious), the entire hotel was clean and modern, the staff were friendly and the location excellent. The value for money was great, we stayed somewhere in Wan Chai earlier in the week which was $100 more per night and not as nice. Highly recommend Hotel LBP.
