The location just inside the thapae gate where the sunday night matket is held. Burger King is beside the hotel. Starbucks and mcdonald just across the street. For those who love history there are lots of old temple around to visit too.

Very central but noisy with hard bed ”
Very central for exploring the Old City, but bed very hard and noise from Sunday market loud music kept us awake till early morning. Breakfast had no variety. Pool not great, no front office support getting hiring a driver.

We assure you that we are doing everything we can to rectify the situation and to make sure it does not happen again. sincerely The Manager
Strategically located for Sunday night Market”
Excellent location in old city. Sunday night Market starts at doorstep, literally. Convenient place to explore old city either on foot or via songteow. Excellent restaurants can be found in vicinity of this hotel

Good location hotel ”
Location is near everywhere and very convenient to go to any tourist attractions destination. Easy to get food from any nearby restaurants. Hotel’s breakfast is okay. Room size is sufficient for one double bed or twin beds without extra bed. Staff are professional and helpful.

Fine for auch short stay, only with rooms to the Back or on 5th floor”
Staff ist really friendly and great, breakfast is fine ans the hotel ist good equiped, but the rooms to the main street are really to loud. First night we were on the 4th floor to the street way to loud then we got a new room on the 5th floor towards the main street that was ok. Really try to get alles room to the back, otherwise great located and great staff!

Great location, decent breakfast”
Highly recommend this hotel for experiencing Chiang Mai. They have in-room massage which is useful if you come back from a daytrip late and need one without going anywhere. The attached restaurant served decent food.
Great Location and great staff”
The good is: Good location Great staff Clean rooms Parking for motorbikes and cars Has an elevator Things to consider: Breakfast sucks Wifi sucks Shower sucks (lukewarm water) Hotel does not notify guests to keep their voices to a minimum while walking in the hallways, so it can be noisy at times Half Naked Chinese men playing with kids in the hallways, which is perhaps a cultural thing It is good for a few days to hit the Sunday Walking Street
Well worth the price”
Spent 4 nights at the Hotel M Chiang Mai during the Loi Krathong festival and took many tours. Hotel was very conveniently located for tour pickups and dropoffs. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room offered free coffee, tea, water peanuts daily. Very nice. Breakfast was simple, plentiful, and good. The room was nicely laid out with plenty of outlets. A/C worked great. The bathroom shower water pressure was excellent. But, the bathroom was old and a little smelly probably from mildew. Internet connection in the room was very bad. For the price was right and would recommend to others.
Comfy stay with great location”
We had a great stay. Hotel is in heart of city, behind the famous Tapae gate which is in Sunday walking street area, and about 5mins-motorcycle to Warorot market. Room is clean &comfy with full set amenities. Staffs performance meet our expectation; friendly & very helpful. We will re-visit next time.
Good location, little overpriced”
This place was great, it was literally right next to the gate and around walking street and lots of food options. The place is a bit dated but overall does the trick. They rented bikes to us without having to leave our passports or give them 4 thousand baht. Front desk woman was very friendly and helpful. Definitely request a room away from the street. I've read that it's very noisy. We could see Wat Chedi Luang from our window which was really cool!
Great Hotel right at Thai Pai Gate ”
I enjoyed my 2 weeks stay there. Single room was small but comfortable.Staff helpful and friendly.. Best thing is the location, right next to Thai Pai Gate. Walk outside and you are right in the middle of all the action, walking distance to everything.
A good value”
Excellent. I like the location and the service. Besides, there is a travel agency right next to the hotel and it offers different tours at very reasonable prices. We joined two and both were good. I considered it an add-on to this hotel.
Great and comfortable stay ”
very comfortable stay, nice clean hotel with a good location just next to the sunday market. easily access to all areas. staff are friend and helpful in assisting all request; easy to move around with burger king and coffee house just next to the hotel.
The hotel was fine. It was what we expected for the cost. There are no complaints and we would stay there again. It was a great location with lots of shops and places to eat all around. It was right next to the Sunday walking market. The time we were there it was very busy.
Reasonably good value in a perfect location”
Hotel M is locaed near Tha Pae Gate, which is the main gate of the city. Many restaurants, temples, etc. are within easy walking distance of the hotel. The staff at the Hotel M are very attentive and helpful.
Excellent quality hotel, centrally located”
Loved it, room great, had a really comfortable stay. Great bathroom, great view out of large windows. Located within old city walls which is excellent for access to all the city attractions. Will be back.
An old hotel but clean and very close to citywall”
My stay was ok , and the service was perfect. I stayed at the top floor and during a heavy rain shower the ceiling was leaking and drops were falling right on my bed . I went down to the reception to report this and within minutes I got another room on the same floor but on the other site , so I could easily relocate my luggage. Top service .
An affordable hotel in the middle of Chiang Mai.”
I stayed only for 3 nights (so my review may not be complete) but the hotel generally lived up to my expectations. It was guest friendly, close to nightlife areas. The room while of a modest size was clean as well as reasonably comfortable and well equipped. The only problem was with the internet connection (wi-fi), which sometimes does not work and was slower than I would have liked it to be. In fact many hotels seems to have problems with internet - why it is so difficult to make it work? I would recommend this hotel to solo-travelers who want a guest friendly hotel close to the Chiang Mai's nightlife.
The hotel is located in the old district right next to Thapae Gate, one of the city's main entertainment and shopping areas. In addition to easy access to restaurants, nightlife and shopping, there is a weekend market held just across the street. The rooms are comfortable, but simple while the cafe downstairs is an excellent place for a lazy breakfast.
