Near border, overpriced for quality”
Good service, very friendly ad helpfull staf
Only stopped here one nigth after crossing the border. In my opinion overpriced or quality of hotel, you can find a lot cheaper. Staff was really nice, but over all hotel quality not very clean, and room just ok.

Disappointed by location, no WiFi”
Very friendly staff
Hotel Mamata was advertised as a hotel in Lumbini, close to all points of interest. I should have done some research and looked at the map to see that it is 26 km away from Lumbini, close to the Indian border. It took me a 30 minute bus and 25 minute riksha ride to reach the hotel from Lumbini. WiFi did not work at the time. Although the staff was very friendly and helpful, I would not go back there.

Fraudulent advertising, dirty, refund not paid.”
1. We managed to leave. 2 the food was ok. 3. We managed to leave.
We booked three nights . We have stayed in many hotels of varying prices, and have had pleasant comfortable stays for this price in Nepal. We have also stayed in over 50 different hotels and hostels over the period of 4 months while touring Thailand,Cambodia, Laos , and Vietnam, and I can honestly say THIS IS THE WORST HOTEL WE HAVE STAYED AT. When we arrived we noted the following in, and around our room: - the door was locked by a bolt at the top. The door was so flimsy it could be pushed forward and half open while locked. There was a thin, plywood panel in the door that could be pushed in from the outside, giving a view of the inside of the room and its contents. - the walls and roof had mould, blood, and black dirt on them. in some places the walls were so damp the plaster was starting to liquefy. - the bathroom was filthy, with the soap rack and toothbrush holders having old soap and toothpaste on them respectively, and the toilet was leaking. -there were no covers on the doona or pillows on the bed, and these were stained. The sheets on the bed were ripped with blood stains on them. - the room was advertised with Wifi, and apon arrival, there was none, I could not even find a router or modem within the whole hotel. I notified management the night that I arrived we would be only staying one night and explained briefly to them why , offering to show them the state of the room, to which they agreed that I could get a refund on the other two days through agoda, but did not seem interested in looking at the room. The next morning, when asked how my stay was, I again asked them to come and look at my room, but as they were hosing out the lobby at the time, did not want to walk through the flooded foyer to walk up the stairs.
