Double Room With Private External Bathroom
Stayed 1 night in May 2016
NOT value for money”
No airconditioning which is tough in May, I can't imagine what it'll be like during summer.
Wifi broken - only available in first floor around reception area
No lift so have to carry luggage all the way to 4th floor (they count the ground as 0 so their 3rd floor is actually 4th)
They emailed me to say reception does not open until 9am. It opened 10am. So much for German punctuality. We only had 36 hours in Berlin and they wasted 1 hour of it.
Location was the only redeeming quality, there's a station a skip and a hop away. But there are rooms for rent almost right at checkpoint Charlie probably for around the same price and service. I only chose this because it calls itself a hotel instead of hostel but seeing as it was actually worse than some hostels I've stayed at, you can just imagine my regret.
