Don't book this hotel, bad service and the confirmation is not enough to get your room.”
Don't book this hotel, especially via agoda. They don't accept the official agoda booking. They want to have another booking confirmation, the one where agoda booked the hotel as a middleman. You need to buy an expensive agoda helpdesk for 2 hours before they send you this strange confirmation. Where the booking doesnt have to care about normally. The person after me also had the same problem. So it's a common thing. And it smells like a scam so you pay twice. You don't handle your guests like this. I would scrap this hotel if I were agoda.
good value for the money”
We have a problem witch a check-in they dont want to accept my agoda booking , reason like they dont have any contract with agoda im need voucher from another company,.. but after long phone calling we finally get into the room .. after check in was everythink okay.. staff is really verynice and helpfull room at the first look is little bit older but u got everythink what you need ,.. hotel have a really nice swimming pool area , and breakfast are aswell good ( option can be little bit more rich but as i said for this money im satisfied ) im travel a lot but i have not any problem to come in this hotel any time again
Hotel needs upgrade esp. in some rooms!”
Hotel has a great looking garden & nice big pool but being winter, we didn't get to touch the water. We were 1st given room 166 which was terrible. The carpet smelled bad & showed several cigarette burnt marks. The TV did not work and no free drinking water was supplied. The furniture seemed broken and the whole room is in severe need of upgrade. Thankfully, the housekeeping lady gave us a change to a better room. Still, there was no free drinking water. Hot water & use of room safe is payable! The 1st I heard! We were there for 5 nights and on some days, house keeping forgot to supply extra towels (we were 3 in a room). Breakfast was not bad but nothing to rave about. Vegetarians may be happier. Overall, I won't really recommend this hotel.
Excellent Value for money-fab break from the hustle and bustle of the medina.”
My partner and I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights after spending a few days staying in a riad in the centre of the medina. On arrival all staff were very helpful, however I did find that they weren't quick to acknowledge us or deal with us even when they didn't seem to be busy. We were shown to our room after a short wait by the pool bar and restaurant (we were early) and we spent the rest of the day (and most of our stay) by the excellent pool. The rooms were spotless and cleaned every day. Breakfast was included and was O.K. some fresh fruit would have made it better but again it was excellent for the money. We ate lunch and snacks a few times and again they were O.K, nothing special but it was convenient. The hotel is in a good location, too far to walk to the Jemaa el Fna square, if you are interested in visiting there a taxi is advisable (there are always taxis outside the hotel). 30 minute walk from Gueliz, and some restaurants about a 15 minute walk away too. I would recommend to anybody looking for a cheap stay that still feels like a little bit of luxury. One final point, most of the staff didn't speak very good English, it was never really a problem, they can speak enough to get by, however you will definitely get by easier if you at least know how to order in French/Arabic.
Poor wifi. Busy & loud pool area”
Glad we didn't book longer than two nights stay. Sloooow service. One barman serving so many people in pool bar?! Internet was awful, didn't work in room and lobby most of the time. Expect to see many buffer faces.
Mixing the old with the new, Moroccan hospitality”
From our arrival at this hotel we felt welcomed. The atmosphere was relaxed and the hotel felt like a mixture between a riad and a more modern building, with the centre of the reception awash with the green of huge plants. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, the rooms were a good size with a nice balcony overlooking the beautiful garden area. The pool was large with plenty of space for relaxing and swimming. The restaurants offered a selection of meals that were very good value for money. Overall, this hotel ranks higher in my estimation than many so-called 5 stars establishments that I have stayed in!
great resorthotel a short walk from the citycentre”
we moved here from another hotel we were displeased with, so semiramis had all the chance in the world of making a good impressing - and did so in all ways. maybe 10mins walk from the centre of gueliz along a street with several small and cheap resturants. the hotel has a huge garden with lots of activities ready like volleyball, football, archery, tennis and of course a huge pool - as well as some unplanned ground where they will probably get other activities when completed. a nice bar, resturants, spa with hairdresser and a small gym is available. the only thing we could have wanted was a few more degrees so we could've used the pool, but this is hardly the hotels fault that we came here in the coldest period of the year. if i ever go back to marrakech i would most likely check the availability here first.
Don't stay here”
Half of the rooms are right next door to a night club which opens everyday untill 5am
The swimming pool is great for relaxation. ”
Cold rooms no heat plugged sink we had to change room 3 times and when I booked 5 nights with tax and service fees included i had to pay taxes a second time
The hotel needs a careful review”
The first thing we noticed that this hotel is not centrally located to any good shopping area and when you are on foot and the temperature is 45 c. It means a lot. The second thing we notice is the entrance to the hotel from the street to the main door to the hotel is becoming a rundown situation, and an eyesore. They say that first impressions count, unless this is addressed it can only get worse. We noticed that there was not a pamphlet haded out to us, nor in the room. The internet was not functioning adequately. Our location on the second floor was poorly lit at best. And the portion to our room was completely dark. We contacted dthe housekeeper for a alight bulb to be replaced in the bathroom and that was never accomplished. We as hotel clients should be entitled to use the dining facilities when the dining room is open, we understand the period of Ramadan, but it is not an excuse for the dining staff to reject us to a sepaerate location until the people having Ramadan have finished dining. We went out and ate in an outside restaurant. We probably use this Semiramis again.
Reasonably priced, beautiful gardens”
The surroundings were lovely and rooms comfortable- although the mattresses are a little hard! The staff were a mixed bag -some were very nice and helpful, others surly. The pool area and gardens are fab, but the dining sucks! The menu is limited and needs revamping, perhaps offering more of a children's menu.
Good family hotel”
If you have children, the gardens and pool of this hotel are a delight. Room standard and comfort is average, but the catering really needs some work!! Language skills of staff are great if you speak French or Arabic, however English isn't spoken very well by some, so this can make for a communication barrier.
Beautiful gardens and nice pool”
This was my second stay at the hotel and I can offer the advice to avoid visiting during Ramadan! The hotel is nice enough, cleanliness and general standards are averagely good, Internet is available in public areas with lots of wi fi spots. The pool is large, deep and well looked after, as are the lovely gardens, but the staff are a mixed bunch, with some performing to a high standard and others- well leaving a lot to be desired; this may have been because of extremely hot weather and Ramadan, our not? The food in the restaurant was rather bland and they did not have a wide range on offer. The air conditioning is central and not very effective during the day, working better in the cooler evening temperatures. The hotel location is a little out of the way, although in the evenings it is easy to stroll further afield, but the hotel has taxis outside on standby- negotiate a price first!
Nice hotel in the north of Marrakech”
Everything passed smoothly and we enjoyed a very good time in the hotel . If you like to relax then the pool area is the place to be where you can relax from 0900 in the morning till 1700 in the evening .
Worst place to stay ”
I walked in to the room & I see toilets are so dirty. I refuse to stay there. Didn't stay the.
