Strange hotel”

I booked this hotel because it was close to where I had to conduct business. It's not a hotel to stay at if you are a tourist. It's way out of the town centre, outside the 5th ring road. The deal on Agoda looks good at first glance, but they room you in a kind of four star or three and a half star business hotel, which is in a different building, linked by elevated corridors. You have to walk through the nicely appointed five star part of the hotel to get there and when you get there, you feel like a second class citizen. It took almost five minutes to walk from the lobby to my room. The decor in the section I stayed in is pretty dull, the lighting is unappealing and the walls are decorated with pictures of various Audis. It seems to be some kind of training centre for Audi workers. Also, the corridors were lined with sheeting the whole time since there were renovations going on. Also, my shower didn't have any hot water for the first night. It was just warm at first and they fixed it, but it wasn't what I would have expected for this price point. Further more, I had just come in from -6C. The room is reasonably spacious and the bed is comfortable, although perhaps a little firm for some. The breakfast is decent and Paulaner German restaurant does good German pub food and the beer is great. The staff have a decent command of English, but they don't go out of their way to help. E.g. I asked the concierge to order a taxi for a certain time to get me to a meeting and when I walked all the way from my room, it wasn't there. When I asked, the concierge merely said he had called a taxi and there was no answer - as if he had done everything he could. Pathetic. On the other hand, there are many hotels in this class where staff don't speak any English at all.

Decent value for money but location is not great”

Room was reasonably priced and accommodation was surprisingly decent. WIFI was very slow. Location is not great unless you have business or intend to be in the surrounding area. If you are in Beijing for leisure this is not the hotel for you.

Great hotel in China”

It was for a business stay, totaling 3 nights. Though the location is quite new, so unfamiliar to taxi drivers, but it can be easily located once you get the hang of it in a couple of taxi rides. The hotel is managed by Steigenberger so the standards are quite high in Chinese standard, and it seems they are still training their staffs to perform a 5 star service. The staffs try to help as much as they could when we encounter simple matters like the phone lines could not dial out, it was quite impressive to receive such care. In the end, it was a pleasant stay and I would recommend this diamond in the rough to travelers who wish to be closer to the airport.

UNFORTUNATELY NIT WELL USED”

The hotel was empty as too new and management seems to not get the tourists in as needed. Actually a pitty, as the hotel is very good. No taxi driver will find the hotel, so that once you are there, you need to get a business card from the neighbour hotel - then ut works.

Don’t be fooled by photo”

Actually you are stayed in a Audi training centre besides the hotel. You have to walk 5-10 mins and use 2 elevators to get into your soon after checking in at the hotel front desk. There’s nice local food around, but you have to walk the same way back to the hotel front desk, in order to get out for food. The training campus are locked without any entrance, at least at night. Nice walking before and after you filled your stomach at night. Didn’t have to try their GYM. Oh, the room is smelly. Someone smoked there.

The room is qiute clean and bog bit the location is so bad that it's qite difficult to find out the hotel.

룸 컨디션도 좋으나, 호텔이 건물이 나눠져있어, 로비에서 룸까지 이동거리가 너무 멈. 또한 위치도 애매함
