          Not a 5* Hotel”
          This is my first time in Hotel Maya. I wasn't impress when entering the main entrance, I entered Restaurant. You had to take an elevator to the 1st Floor to the hotel lobby - a small and unimpressive Lobby (dont forget HM is a 5*!). However, the Receptionist, Dahlia was very polite and the check-in was fast. My room was on the 20th Floor. The interior architecture of this hotel looks like you're admitted into a Prison or a Sanitarium with long lines of rooms in an open concept floor by floor visible to the eye which is painful to see. The room is ordinary. The bathroom had paints peeling off and the shower tap head came off just as you touched it. The hotels nearby like Concorde and Renaissance are better off! It's not an easy walk to get to KLCC. The traffic in front of the Hotel is chaos! It took ages for the traffic light to turn green. You have to go through the heat to get anywhere. Thanks for the unexpected experience from a so-called 5* Hotel Maya. I'll go somewhere else.

          House keeping staff need training and refurb due in rooms not 5 star”
          Great location, a short walk from The Petronas towers. The rooms need a refurbishment. We had a spacious room, large with a large bathroom however in the morning we had to call reception as our water was a dirty orange colour (rust?)!! Maintenance came and flushed the system, he said the water heater was old and so this needed to be done once in a while, it did fix the problem however shouldn't have been a problem in the first place. Our toilet did not flush well and under the chairs and bed was very dusty! House keeping need training as the kept coming into the room without knocking which was very annoying and rude. On one occasion I had just come out of the shower and luckily we had the latch on the door. This incident was also after we had already told a member of staff we didn't need our room cleaned. For obvious reasons this was not a 5 star hotel which is a shame as there is a lot of potential.

          Location is good, 5 minutes walking distance to klcc. But it is also next to cemetry, I can view it from my room. Room is spacious and clean. Furniture and fittings are aged, but considered well maintained

          Horrible service, amenities, food quality! ”
          Room was unkept, dusty and outdated. Felt like I was in the 60's. Staff was slow and lousy. They seemed to lazy and not bothered to do their job well. Food was horrendous. I guess the chef just woke up from the dead. Food quality was poor and not fresh at all. I'd rather eat fast food and atleast it would make me feel healthier compared to the food served in the hotel. Pool was quite good but quite dangerous for the elderly or young to use. There was also no staff in charge to take care of the pool facilities and amenities. The gym was horrible and outdated. The spa facility was bad. Overall not recommended for anyone! It's a 2 star hotel trying to be a 5 star. Way overrated. Pls save your money and find another hotel to stay.. The hotel only wins points cos' of its good location, that's about it.

          No doubt the location of the hotel is good; however the hotel rooms were not clean at all. Room was dusty unkept and seemed outdated. Most importantly the quality of food was poor and did not taste good. Food was stale and not fresh. Staff gave slow and lousy service. Most of them seemed lazy to do their work. Facilities such as gym was old and outdated. The pool was quite good, however lacked safety signs. Very dangerous to have kids around the pool. Furthermore there was never a staff assigned in charge to take care of the pool facility and amenities. The spa was horrendous. I would not recommended this hotel to anyone!

          bad maintenance. The shower holder, shower tap was broken, one of the shower do not has hot water. And the toilet bowl was stuck.

          One of the best hotels I've stayed in at the price range”
          I didn't have any expectation as I had never been to KL before nor did I know what the city was like at all. It was such a pleasant surprise to see such a spacious room at their price range. After checkout, they still allowed us to use their amenities so we could kill time before our evening flight. Highly recommended! So recommended that I finally wrote down my first hotel review ever!

          Hot, old, moldy, overpriced, bug infested.”
          We were here for three nights, after electing this hotel due to the “5-star” rating, and want to not book chain hotel, like the ritz or mandrian, that were thirty US dollars more. What an effing joke. First room wreaked of smoke and mold, they changed us to another room, but was still molding in the shower, ac barely worked, windows and doors did not seal fully, meaning the humid air just seeped in continually, sink molding loosened the seal of the sink, smelled like 50year old plastic flooring, the safe broke, and the particular location makes it a nightmare for uber drivers to get to. Atrocious. But for KL actually being quite an engaging city with great food, this hotel nearly ruined it. Cannot emphasize to stay away more!

          tap water was tea coloured. the tech let it flow for a while and it was still discoloured. found a dead moth in the toilet right next to the soap and shampoo. had to change rooms. tap in other room was much better, but the tub water was still slightly discoloured which was fine becz i wasnt going to use it either.

          Great location, clean, nice food. Unfortunately not lots of options for vegeterians/vegans though! Poor breakfast buffet but great location in short walking distance to the Petronas Towers and KLCC. The rooms were nice but old and a bit dirty. Staff is really friendly and always happy to help

          It s a good deal for the Junior Suite room . However , upon my check in , these were the followings : 1. The lift was not working properly ... s’times can read the key card , at times cannot . 2. This hotel on this day and the following day was awefully quiet ... 3. There is a Malay Cemetary located next to the hotel . So , you will sure to see it at your window . Which is kinda eeriee... 4. Badly maintained ! The tap at the sink in the bathroom was “moving” or “swinging “ ... For a Suite Room ??? Terrible 5. The safe deposit box -key pad had detached !! 6. Housekeeping Department - the sofa obviously was not vacumned !! There were loads of dirt “food remnants” on the side of the sofa !! 7. When i lifted the coffee cup, the coffee cup sides was dirty ! Plus the saucer !! HOUSEKEEPING DEPARTMENT must be lagging ! I guess this boils down to Hotel Maya s GM . How can this happen in a Suite room ?
