Great, clean hotel”
I stayed forone night on my way toHsipaw. The staff were great and the hotel and the rooms are spotless. My room was spacious complete with ammenities like a hairdryer and slippers. They arranged a taxi to the train station, as well as a stop at a pharmacy for aminor burn. Very helpful!

Great value, really nice but modern hotel”
This is a straight up western style hotel with air conditioning, which we didn't need, big bathroom, large clean rooms with a safe and fridge. It's in a good location and I can't say enough about it . It even includes breakfast.

Paid for 3 nights - only stayed for one”
I'll start by saying the staff were friendly and nice, so no complaints about them. The room was basic, bed uncomfortable, hot water for the shower ran out within 3 minutes of use. So so loud all night. Sheets gave us both rashes, whether from bedbugs or laundry power I don't know. The breakfast was cold, tasteless and meagre. Rented bicycles on the first day for the rip off price of 5000kyt per bike - they wheeled out children's mountain bikes - we got 10 min down the road, my front tire was flat, my partners breaks didn't work and neither of the bikes stayed in gear. When we went back to swap them for scooter rentals, the hotel tried to charge us 30,000kyt per scooter rental fee - that's almost the cost of the room per scooter. What a rip off. We had 3 nights paid for but after the first night decided to leave. After 20 minutes discussion with the staff they refused to give us a refund even though the hotel faults were the reason we had to leave. Terrible experience.

So great!”
We only stayed one night, but absolutely loved this place. The staff was so helpful and kind. They even arranged a Canadian and Myanmar flag on the bed as a welcome! Great breakfast on the roof. Perfect place to stay if you are passing through town! (also close to the wonderful Krishna restaurant!)

Loved this place”
This was for me my favourite Hotel out of all the ones I've stayed in Myanmar. Reception staff is outstanding, the room was by far the best I've seen around that price range, very spacious, in nice condition and making good use of natural light. Top floor has a really nice view as well. Location wise couldn't be happier, as it is off the main road a few minutes walk from the clock tower.

New, modern hotel”
Great location in the centre of Pyin Oo Lwin. The hotel is located on a back road just north of the Purcell Tower on the left. There is a new neon sign just past the mosque. A good selection for breakfast served in the rooftop restaurant with great views.

Very overpriced”
Had an overnight stop in Pyin Oo Lwin en route to Mandalay after taking the train from Hsipaw. I wanted to stay somewhere fairly central but there didn't seem to be a great deal of hotel availability other than the Maymyo. The room was big. Probably too big, seeing as there wasn't a great deal in it. And it's totally devoid of features. Functional probably the best way to describe it. Not even a cheap picture on the wall or bedside lights (but there is a clock!) Hot water went off a couple of times. Standard basic Asian breakfast offering. Not much choice. And fairly chaotic - they seem to wait until everyone has eaten before they clear anything. Staff were helpful in showing where to hire a bicycle and arranging a share taxi to Mandalay. Overall, no real issues with the hotel - it's okay. But it is LUDICROUSLY overpriced. There's nothing special about it whatsoever to justify the higher price tag.

Probably the best hotel at town center”
A quite new hotel at town center. Very good quiet location on alleyway parallel to the main road, near by the clock tower, good local eateries and the central market. Rooms are big but a bit basic though. Good breakfast served at the top floor, which has some nice views. Only real downside is that there is no elevator if you need one. Internet is slow and unreliable but so it is almost everywhere in Myanmar.

Excellent stay”
Only stayed for one night after taking a long bus ride from Bagan. Staff allowed me to check in even though I arrived really early in the morning (dawn). Breakfast was good and the staff facilitated a taxi ride to Mandalay the following day.
