Hotel right in Marseille center”
This hotel is situated right in the center of Marseille, next to the old port so its location is excellent. There were road works in the surrounding streets so we heard loud noises since 8am, hope this will be solved after the roadwork is completed. Facility wise, expect facilities from an ordinary 3-4 star hotel. Rooms were clean and tidy, acceptable facilities.

Quiet evening before the drive home”
The marina is very close to the hotel with lots of restaurants, cafes and bars. There are lots of shops in the area, though we did not plan during our visit to go shopping. The car park is a public parking area although the Mercure hotel had a fenced off parking area within this car park which was easy to navigate too. The room was comfortable with a great shower and excellent air conditioning, which was just as well as our visit was during thebEuropean heatwave. We did not use the hotel amenities so cannot comment. Would certainly recommend to friends and family.

Great location with handy parking”
We found Marseille to be a very busy city and it was good to have a hotel so close to the action but still very quiet. Once you found the parking in the LaFayette car park it was very easy to get to the hotel. In fact they have a secure area inside the centre car park and a door from there into the hotel foyer or you can just walk around the corner from the,shopping centre and go in. The rooms were small but comfortable and clean.

Nice hotel with beautiful view”
we stay only one night, but i can say that the hotel is very clean with spacious room. The staff is helpful and friendly. the hotel itself is located near the port, has beautiful view, close to car park, and shopping center is just 5 minutes away.

Weekend in Marseille”
On the whole an excellent stay but felt that anything out of the ordinary found the staff out of their depth. In our room, the safe had been locked shut by a previous guest whilst the hairdryer did not work. There was no identifiable response by Reception to resolve these issues. But overall the hotel made for a pleasant stay and we would recommend it to others whilst we would consider re-booking should we visit Marseille again.

Inconsiderate staff”
We arrived at the hotel at 8.20pm but was told by the counter staff that we do not have a room because there is water problem on my room allocated floor. they offer to replace me to hotels nearby but when asked for other rooms was told fully booked. they offer a hotel 2km away, which they asked taxi to send but couldn't reach as roads are blocked due to afootball game and riotous fans. After all this run around, back in Mercure they suddenly found a room available. ?? They give a complimentary welcome drink as compensation, but as I dont drink, I asked for dinner at the cafe as it is very late already. Laura refused, until a colleague phoned someone to approve. Is this how Mercure treats Guests whom are inconvenienced by Mercure internal problems; Putting guests through changing hotels, taxi rides in a riotous danger without apologies, without upgrading the guest room or benefits and even refuse to offer guest meals, when they had held up the guest with so much inconvenience.???
