We had a suite with canal view. It was great for our 4 years old as she was staying on the balcony saying hello to every single boat that was passing by. The room was clean, big , and looking like an old venetian house. The breakfast has little choices but enough to start the day. The only minus from my point of view was the morning noise. The windows are not canceling the outside noise and the day started for us around 6:30 - 7 AM when all the garbage boats were passing by. We saw it as a plus, more time to explore the city.
The location was very good, making it easy to visit attractions, come back to rest, and go out again. The front desk was on the second floor, and there was no elevator. The room was compact but renovated and clean. Of course, the toilet and shower were also clean, and hot water came out properly. Breakfast had a sufficient amount and could be enjoyed leisurely in a lovely dining area. The staff were also very kind. I would definitely like to use it again.

“A Nice Stay!”
Stayed here in March 2024 as a couple. About 10 minutes walk from the San Marco Vallaresso ACTV Water Bus Stop and close to San Marco Square where you can walk around to various restaurants, shops etc. We reached by train just before noon and were immediately allotted a nice room. The walk with luggage on cobblestone streets was a little difficult. We had opted for a Standard Double Room which was allotted on a higher floor (2nd floor after reception). The hotel staff were helpful with the luggage as there was no lift and there was also a flight of steps to reach the reception. A nice, clean, compact room with a decent sized bathroom and toiletries (toilet paper, towels, napkins and shampoo, body wash, soaps and other amenities). The shower area was however, very small. There was daily housekeeping/replenishment for the 3N we stayed. Since it was almost end of winter in Italy, we did not need the heater nor the AC was functional and the room was comfortable with the large window that could open. Could not try the Buffet Breakfast which was included as we had to leave for a tour every morning, perhaps an earlier timing for breakfast would have helped. Overall, a nice stay and would definitely recommend staying here as this hotel was just perfect, centrally located, great rooms and bathrooms and value for money! The location is the highlight of this hotel, close to the canals, plenty of shops and restaurants in the streets. Thank you Hotel Mercurio Venezia for the wonderful hospitality!
