We have been staying here for quite some time. Often during the winter months. We love the proximity of the area to almost every tourist spot we want to visit. We love how it’s conveniently located. Parking is available for a fee. After all the COVID situation, I was pretty worried if we should stay here since it’s by the train station and with that being said, there’s a lot more people in the area compared to other locations. However, since we love this hotel, we decided to spend the holiday vacation here & it was the best decision ever. Hotel is very clean, sanitizers everywhere and we are very impressed! Will definitely stay again :) and we recommend it to everyone with or without kids!

Fantastic Hotel. ”
Had an excellent experience at this hotel. They thought of everything. I was particularly impressed with the free smartphone in my room, which I was able to take out with me each day. It had unlimited free local and international calls, as well as unlimited data for internet usage. Everything else was perfect, from the location (right next to Nagano Station (there's even a connecting passage way on the hotel's 2nd floor that leads into the station)), to the level of cleanliness, to the courteous staff, to the delicious breakfast buffet. I was well impressed and happy I chose to stay here.

Comfort , valuable and great location ”
This is the excellent hotel. It is located next to the Nagano station and they have a bypass from the hotel through Midori Mall (the shopping mall of Jr.Nagano st.) on the second floor so you can walk to the station from the hotel, very convenient (dont worry that others can access to the hotel because it need a hotel card to go on each floor except first and second floor). The room was really clean, the bed was comfy and the pillow was good. We had a great sleep during our 4-night stay. Valuable place for staying over.

This is a big, clean hotel, early breakfast enable you catching up early departure for tateyama snow wall. The bus to tateyama is just at the jr station bus parking area. Eat good breakfast and be prepared to climb 230++ staits to tateyama snow wall. Breakfast is good, with variety of hot meals and japanese breakfast. Enjoy the fresh milk. Rooms is quite big considering tokyo rooms. I will definitely stay in this hotel should I go to nagano again.

The Hotel Metropolitan Nagano was the best hotel we stayed in during out 20 days in Japan in March 2019. It was also the best value for money of all the hotels. Location was next to station and access was really easy through the Midori shopping centre. Staff were very helpful and friendly. We could open a window as well as well as turn the aircon off. The views out the window was over the station, but the views of the snow-capped mountains were lovely. The only downside to opening the window was that there was an incessant noise of some sort of signal for the trains, but they did stop later in the evening. We would still very highly recommend this hotel. The use of a smartphone was also very much appreciated.

Excellent and Convenient”
Hotel is right next to the Nagano station, and about 15 minutes walk to the eat street. Also convenient with taxi. The hotel is very clean, usual with Japanese hotels, and the Gorund floor (1st floor) has a large reception area and coffee shop. It is quite grand and relaxing. Highly recommended. We only stayed there for 1 night so didn't know what types of facilities are available. There are the usual conference rooms and function rooms.

This hotel is everything you're looking for. The location is great, just above Nagano main station with direct access to the statio, restaurants and shops without even going out which is great in winter. Rooms are a good size for Japan, clean, with all amenities you need. Don't miss the breakfast buffet . Excellent choice.

Perfect for a Couple Nights in Nagano”
If you're thinking of staying in Nagano, you cannot go past the Hotel Metropolitan. It's value for money and extremely close to the train station, which made our time in the city very easy. There are many amenities close by such as grocery stores, etc. The hotel itself was as you would expect - clean, tidy and friendly staff. We would definitely stay here again.

My first impression was adorable ”
I did actually not have a plan to Nagano city, I planned to Matsumoto in advance. I booked this hotel because near to the station. But I was wrong, this hotel was far away from my first destination. So, then I felt so bad bcs I paid for the hotel already, and I must go to Nagano city. Luckyly, this hotel was so amazing when I arrived at Nagano, my tiredness paid off while resting at this hotel. Very close to the Station and a good restaurant, and close to the tourism spot. All facilities and services were wonderful. Even though the location is very far from Matsumoto, I enjoyed having experiences in Nagano. If you visit Nagano next time, you should stop by and rest in Metropolitan Hotel Nagano.

Great location for convenience and site seeing ”
The hotel was so convenient and allowed us to be close to Nagano Station. This was great as we only had a couple of nights. The hotel has a great breakfast buffet, bar on the top level with a great view and the massage salon was lovely! The room was a great size, we booked a twin sized room and had ample space for Belongings. The hotel staff were lovely and very helpful, will be returning for sure! Thanks Hotel Metropolitan Nagano

Exceptional”
You can’t get any closer to a train station, there’s a hallway that makes it so you don’t even have to go outside. The hotel lobby is large and elegant. The room was amazing And the staff was very helpful and so nice. We had to reserve the washer and dryer, but that was nice because they give you a four hour block to get it done. They give you a key to open the room, so you can leave your clothes in the machine without worrying about them. Although, it is Japan, so there’s little chance of them coming up missing anyway.

Awesome Location and Staff”
Hotel Metropolitan Nagano is conveniently located next to the Nagano station and a short bus ride (¥150) away from the famous Zenkoji Temple. The Midori shopping plaza houses cute boutiques and larger stores like Loft as well as a couple of nice coffee shops like Starbucks and Tully’s Coffee. The staff is very helpful and kind and go out of their way to assist. The variety of food options both within the hotel and in the surrounding area has been fun to explore for us foodies as well.

Perfect location for connection with coaches and trains”
The hotel has a direct corridor access with the train station and 5mins walk away from the bus terminal. Although there isn't much going on around the city itself we were ideally located for our day trips to Snow Monkey (can buy 2-Days access pass from the hotel reception)and the Ski stations. The hotels were larger than the average Japanese hotel rooms and well maintained. The staff was pleasant and very helpful. Thank you for the lovely stay.

Very closed to JR Nagano”
The hotel is very closed to JR Nagano. We can enter the hotel on 2nd floor of Midori Store. It's very convenience to travel by JR. Room is fine (bigger than hotel in Tokyo), clean and cozy. Staff is very nice and can speak English. The hotel also near the supermarket too.

Great location, comfortable, can't ask for more”
Great Location, next to Nagano Station, local line to shopping area/monkey park station (Yudanaka) supermarket beside hotel, Don Quijote across the street, lots of restaurants to choose from. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable, will definitely return.

Very good value for money, good location”
The hotel is connected to the Nagano station via a shopping mall, which means that it’s completely indoor on the way to the hotel from the train station. This is particularly convenient during raining days. The room is spacious with all sorts of facilities in room (including free bottles of drinking water). Overall I am very satisfied with the stay and will definitely choose this hotel again when I have a chance to visit Nagano again in future.

Everything was nice, the room was spacious and clean. The procedure of coping covid 19 was good. We especially love the breakfast! It was really a good treat before we started our snowboarding day!

Perfect location for family stay”
We spent two nights here in a delightful family room, which had two large singles for my husband and I, and futons on tatami mats at the end of the room for the kids. The bathroom was amazing, with a proper Japanese shower area and deep bath to soak in, separate toilet and basin area. The location couldn't be better - you can access it directly from Nagano JR station through the Midori shopping arcade, so you don't even need to go outside (in below freezing temperatures this was handy). While there isn't a common bath area, reception provided us a discount coupon to a gorgeous onsen on the outskirts of town which had indoor and outdoor pools overlooking a mountain and ravine. This wasn't the cheapest option in Nagano but we loved the mix of Japanese style and Western comfort.

Hotel is very clean and its right next to the station. The price goes up during the holidays but early booking will save a lot of money. I will book again in this hotel if we are ever in the area. Overall, our stay was really good
