“Great location”
I was initially concerned about ikebukuro being too “far” from shibuya/shinjuku/ginza etc. but this is the perfect location. Just fyi that it looks like it takes 30 mins to get somewhere in google maps because it’s taking into account your entire journey from walking to the platform and arriving at your destination so I actually the train rides are pretty short, it’s just all the walking that takes a while because ikebukuro station is huge!! Also, this station is surrounded by all the major shopping you need, you honestly wouldn’t need to go to shinjuku or shabuya for the larger chains like daiso/loft/standard products/donki/etc. the hotel is situated right across the street from the station and there’s a number of highly rated restaurants and department stores with an impressive store list. Staff were helpful, rooms were clean and big enough for 3 single beds and our luggages (huge plus that we could slide them under the beds). The only thing is that house keeping is a little inconsistent but we didn’t have any problems overall. Hotel also provides all the amenities you need like makeup remover, face wash, face toner, lotion, head bands, pajamas, etc. I used the washing machine as well and it will take two hours to wash and dry one load, no soap needed. You can check on the TV if the washers are available and when it’s done. Limousine bus drops and picks you up in front. I would recommend this hotel for those traveling with older family members who don’t want to be inconvenienced by lugging baggage through the trains. Just note that limousine but doesn’t start running from the airport until 830ish am so if you arrive way before that, taking the taxi will cost about $75 USD. Overall, great location where it’s not as chaotic as shinjuku or shibuya but still overs similar shopping.
