        Comfortable, clean, well located.”

Superb customer service, attentive staff and wonderful GM.

I travelled with two colleagues for a short break and Mimosa was referred by one among us who has used the hotel before. We were very happy with the standard of rooms and service. Although the hotel was undergoing renovations, we did not feel put out. I encountered some problems with my key card and the gracious attention rendered to resolve this problem far exceeds the standards from five star hotels that I have stayed at before. Rooms are spacious, clean and everything worked. Location on Jalan Bungah Raya was close enough to the main tourist stretch of Jonker, but not too close to be exposed to the crowds and noise. Hence we enjoyed the best of both worlds. I will definitely use the Mimosa for future trips to Malacca.

Very enjoyable stay at a nice price.”

Clean and comfortable room, secure car park, good wifi.

We did not want to pay for facilities that we are not likely to use.... so we didn't miss a swimming pool, a gym, a spa and so on. Instead what we got was almost exactly what was promised -- a clean, comfortable room within a centrally located hotel with a secure car park, reliable wifi in the room and with a simple (but good enough) breakfast included -- at an attractive price. When I come back to Malacca again, Hotel Mimosa will be the first place I would consider staying in.

Accessibility, value for money, high speed internet

Our stay at Hotel Mimosa was great! The hotel is at par with our budget and near the tourist spots in Malacca. Fast check-in and check-out. However, breakfast is not so great. They should add other variety on it as its mostly local food. The hotel's internet is fast too. I would definitely stay at this hotel again if in case I'll be back in Malacca.

Value for money and great staff”

Mimosa hotel is value for money. The staff was great and helpful. The room and facilities looked refurbished which means they bothered to maintain the hotel. There was ample parking space.

I stay in the hotel with my wife, aunt and three kids. Had stayed in this hotel at least 6 times whenever I come over to Malacca since 2007. I had seen its good and bad times. The stay this time round was good because the facilities looked well - conditioned, sufficient parking space and the staff were friendly and helpful. On the day of departure, my car battery actually went flat. The staff helped me looked for help. And they manage to find another person to help me to jump start my car. Please keep up the good work, Hotel Mimosa.

modest hotel for a quiet tourist visit”

        location, breakfast, comfortable bed

Hotel Mimosa ticked all my boxes and was better than two star. Nice room, comfortable bed, breakfast catering to both local and Western tastes, such easy access on foot to historic Malacca and its amazing river frontage and, with parking in its own carpark, so easy to take out the car for evening meals in further restaurants. It is modest but for we five seventy year olds, it suited our needs. Value for money.

        Near Jonker, clean, affordable”

Good Location, private car park, friendly and knowledgeable staff

Hotel Mimosa was a pleasant surprise. We did not expect the rooms although simple to be quite clean and comfortable. The private car park was another plus as we drove to Malacca. It provides you with a breakfast buffet that is average. At night, right outside the hotel are some food stalls which sell delicious fried oyster!! That tastes like carrot cake =) It is a 20min walk to Jonker street. However, if you take the route along the main roads, it is very crowded and filled with car fumes. Ask the hotel to direct you to a shorter and less crowded route through one of the alleys near the hotel which will lead you to a more scenic route via the Malacca Riverwalk. Along the way, you will also pass by a few local shops selling everyday necessities like baking tins, clogs, mortars, knives etc. We got some kitchen items there at a good price!

        Awesome stay at Mimosa”

It was our bike touring trip and we were able to leave the bike at the porch while they keep an eye on it. The room was extremely comfortable & the staffs were extremely friendly as well!

It was difficult going a bike trip because not many hotels encourage leaving our bikes in their care. But this hotel I exceptionally different, we were able to leave the bike at the porch while we leave for jonker street and when we turn in for the night. The staffs were extremely helpful and they never fail to put up excellent service and a great smile. The room was extremely comfortable and clean, the bathroom was well equipped with a bathtub and sunflower shower head. The bed was comfortable and clean too. The hotel is merely a 5 minutes away to the river that resembles Venetican Macao and just a little bit more to the ever happening Jonker street. The location is simply perfect and a two thumbs up for riders who wish to travel to malacca!

Great location within the heart of Malacca ”

        location
lift requires guests to climb half a floor. Not wheelchair friendly.

I was trying to find a place to stay in Malacca on a Saturday, which was impossible during the December holiday season. I chanced upon Mimosa Hotel which is in the heart of Malacca. It is in fact within minutes to the tourists' area. What more can I asked for? To make things better, I found a small internet cafe which rented bicycles for the nominal rental of for the whole day. Malacca being a smaller town, unlike the nearby capitals, has friendlier drivers.

        comfort, location, convenience

We (group of seven in two cars), were en-route towards Kuala Lumpur. Our pit stop, for some shopping was to be Malacca as planned. One night stay, otherwise two would be better. Being a regular in Malaccca (we are there at least 3-5 times a year). This hotel is convenient, in its location - food trials & Batik shops.. if you are game some for a few road side stalls, we would recommend Char Kway Teow, Rojak, ChengDol & top it up with a fresh coconut juice (cost RM$5) directly opposite just after the bridge facing the Red House. We will be back, my sister & brother In Law, enjoyed the fresh seafood at the back lane of this hotel.

Location; clean; spacious corridors; reasonable sized rooms; good value

i've stayed here before and liked it. the hotel is on the edge of the tourist area. everything is within easy walking distance, but the hotel itself is out of the busiest part of malacca, which i prefer. the hotel provides all the required facilities (although the shower in our room on this occasion did not seem to work properly and did not supply enough hot water if you like your shower quite warm).

I liked the rooms and the staff was friendly. Liked that it wasn't in the middle of Jonker but easily walkable to it. If you plan on going to Malacca, this hotel is a pretty great option, especially for the price. I think it was around $40 US. It even had breakfast included, but I didn't make it.

        Valentines Day Retreat”

        Price, location and service.

I had a really wonder stay at Mimosa Hotel with my girlfriend during valentines day. It was not my first time I've been to melaka, probably my 4th time and i stayed in mimosa hotel all 4 times. I think the good thing about mimosa hotel would be its value for money, you're getting very good service for the price you pay. Although the location was not the best, but it is good enough to get around melaka and to the popular Jonker Street. The cleanliness again was also not the best but clean enough to live comfortably in. Like I've mentioned, this is already by 4th stay here, I would stay here again if I'm visiting melaka again. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, whether you are travelling as a couple, with your family or friends. It would be a really worthwhile hotel to spend your holiday in!

The hotel's ample parking space makes getting around the city by foot alot easier and convenient, especially with the one-way traffic flow system. Though it may not be very close to the usual places of interest, it was nevertheless a good walk through the historic city, which also allows us to sample various types of food which the city has to offer along the way. It is indeed a good one-day get-away for the family, and we will be returning to Mimosa Hotel again when we next visit the city.

        Good value, excellent location.”

Hotel is perfectly located between the historic town with museums, night market, river cruise, lots of restaurants; and The Shore - the new hot spot in town. Everything walking distance. Hotel Mimosa is in busy street in China Town, clothing and fabric shops, lovely shop selling beautiful bamboo products, furniture etc, busy restaurants. Evening time street is quiet. Big plus for this hotel is free parking, with 24 hour security. There is a mosque right next to hotel, but we have stayed there many times, with our window looking out onto the mosque, but noise has never been a problem.

Excellent location, comfortable, value for money

Hotel room was beyond my expectation. My last stay at BayView Hotel Malacca was a bad experience, rooms with smell and soiled bedsheets. Mimosa rooms are newly renovated, with new furnishing, comfortable bed and was very clean! Only setback is rooms are not sound-proof, so do not recommend for light sleepers.

I booked 2 Superior Twin rooms at Mimosa Melaka Hotel, 3-4 Nov 2012. The room was spacious and clean, with very powerful aircon that kept us cool in the hot weather. Room had free wifi access too. However, room had no hair dryer and the hotel is located beside a mosque. This won't be good for light sleepers as there will be loud prayers broadcasted via loud speakers at 5am, which means sleep disturbance for some. Location wise, hotel is 20 mins walk from the famous Jonker street. There are many shops near the hotel which is fantastic for eating and shopping for clothes. Hotel breakfast was decent and average. The buffet line had: rice, mee goreng, rendang chicken, baked beans, hot dogs, plain porridge, toasted bread, cornflakes, honeystar, milk. Best part, they have a live station offering fried eggs and omelette upon request. This is good for hotel guests who drive as there is a hotel carpark with staff mending it, ensuring security. I will certainly choose this hotel again when i visit Malacca next year!

        Clean and comfy room

the room is clean and comfy. staffs are also friendly. the hotel is located within a walking distance to jonker street. there's parking space with security guards for those who are driving to malacca. park your car at hotel compound and you can walk to jonker street without worrying where to find parking space!
