Hotel is just next to Lucerne Train station. This is essential for family with luggages to conveniently check in with minutes. Staff are very friendly and helpful ie approachable unlike interlaken central hotel staff was very rude and couldn't serve the basic service. This monopol hotel is central to visit most attractions eg 1 min walk to Chapel Bridge and Piers to take cruises & Mt Rigi(free with Swiss passes)... Walks along Piers of lake is relaxing and happy... Window shoppings of various many outlets are 2 min walk to and many more.... The most economical meals to get is COOP supermarket in Switzerland. But is ok to spend a bit on local Fondue.

Very good location The little downside is the room could possible be hot without AC in the summer . It wasn’t an issue for us as the weather was cool.

Perfect Location!”
This hotel got a perfect location for everything! I feel so lucky that I chose to stay here for my trip to Luzern. The hotel is just right across the street of the main Luzern train station. Just right beneath the hotel is Starbucks and MC Donald. Right across the street is Burger King. And at the basement level of the main train station there are lots of food stalls and a big supermarket. The hotel is at a very short walking distance (literally just across the street)...to major tourist attraction places, and to the port where Lake Luzern cruise depart/arrive. I will definitely stay here again for my next visit.

Was greeted happily by the staff, leave luggage is allowed, very convenient on location if you travel by train. Eateries are very accessible. i had the highest floor room, and we enjoyed the space and size of the room. Clean and huge. Lovely stay

The hotel’s strongest point is the location - right at the train station. Room was clean, and there are also common facilities like a microwave oven which you can use. Being right near the station also means proximity to supermarket and lots of tasty goodies

The location is perfect (just outside the train station), the staff members were all very helpful ( bags, umbrellas, candies, plus with neverending smiles), the breakfast was exceptional (both in ambiance and quality), and the room was more than what we were expecting.

We free upgraded to super big room but the construction downstairs really ignoring. Request to change room and arrange for another great nice room although it was smaller but very cozy. The receptionist very friendly and helpful. A great hotel need super receptionist. Very convenient for luggage traveller with Trains. Recommended.

I like Hotel Monopol Luzern because of its location. The train station is just opposite the road and there are fast food restaurants nearby. We walked to the nearby museum (full of Picassos), to the famous woodenbrigde and the pier to get the boat cruising Lake Luzern.

A Convenient and Reasonably Priced Hotel”
Stayed at the Hotel Monopol Luzern for 4 nights. Hotel is conveniently located close to the train station, bus station, the pier and plenty of restaurants. The staff are friendly and the breakfast buffet with plenty of choices. Overall we enjoyed our stay at reasonable rates.

Good location but noisy if you are facing main roads”
The hotel is located at a super spot, from where you can reach the train station and ferry station in a couple of minutes. The room is ok and the staffs are very nice. But you may have to park your car a few blocks away as the parking lots are quite limited. The biggest problem is the noise from the main streets in the early morning, 2-3am, because there are people drinking and cheering together nearby.
