First of all, it was very quiet, and the size of the Japanese hotel wasn't particularly small. The bedding was soft, which was very good. Advantages! 1. Welcome drink, coffee machine in the accommodation 2. Two of everything: toothbrushes, shower towels, razors, cotton pads, combs 3. The shower hose is silicone, making it clean 4. Staff kindness 5. Umbrella rental service 6. Two each of hand towels, regular towels, and bath towels 7. There's a separate disposal sticker for garbage cans, so nothing else needs to be touched 8. Two types of pillows, one firm and one soft, with two of each Disadvantages would be: 1. The refrigerator size is ambiguous, so both sides of the storage need to be opened 2. Sounds can be heard from the hallway, but not from neighboring rooms 3. Very close to the subway, but there's the inconvenience of needing to transfer at Hanzomon Station to get to tourist spots, and it was a bit confusing since it’s a station without staff when the one-day pass wasn't valid.

not in Shinjuku. Got 2 rooms, though carpeted its clean. No allergy attack for me and my child (test we do on a carpeted room). But have to upgrade the other room to a bigger size for 3 pax, still tight but was able to managed opening luggage with upgraded room. Have to keep one at corner. Room size for 2 pax should be ok even with large luggage, can find a way how to open with a bit ease. Happy with the AC system, property didn’t set to heater only mode even on winter. Unlike other property, I want room to be cool but not too cold. Generous with beauty and wellness products, I love the feet patch for sore muscle and eye mask. Unlimited vit. C orange and tea drinks, coffee and tea pods which have a choice of DECAF for both, the only family travel I was able to take coffee and tea in the morning in a room accommodation, DECAF. . PJ’s offered has a very nice feel, I topped it over my sleepwear and had slept so well that I wasn’t awake and were late for our day trip, fabric was nice, wish to buy but it’s pricey. I love and miss the hand shower, no need to use hand to wash face and true to it’s description, cold mist comes out in hot water setting. Hotel sells but too pricey too. 2 mins walk from Hanzomon Tokyo Metro. Quiet neighborhood, residential feel and office nearby. 7-11 the nearest convenience store and a small grocery across. Family Mart and AEON to the left. A lot of small restaurants nearby and around the blocks. 5 mins walk to pharmacy and indoor golf simulation course. No shopping or retail stores nearby but it’s ok as the train station is near a stop to Ometosando and 2 stops to Shibuya. Should improved lighting in TnB, it’s too warm, lack brightness, shower curtain should be change for every new guest staying, a bit smelly maybe from humidity. The only thing concerns me with the property is I never got a response on the fastest transport from Narita Airport to property. No suggestion. Had to find on our own. P.S. Manage to travel in 1 hr 30 mins incl buying the ticket from the airport at the least cost with 4 L luggage and 2 HC (2A and 3C).
There is no restaurant in the hotel, but you can enjoy a very delicious breakfast buffet for a fee. There is also a coin laundry in the basement, so long stays are not a problem. The hotel is easily accessible as it is right in front when you exit from exit 5 of the Hanzomon Metro Line. There are convenience stores nearby, including 7-Eleven and Family Mart, as well as mini supermarkets like Maruetsu Petit and My Basket. There is also a drugstore. As for dining options, there are various restaurants including sushi, ramen, Chinese food, tonkatsu, steak houses, European curry, tempura, Italian restaurants, and many others. I have stayed here over 80 times, and it is a comfortable hotel!

This is the second time I've stayed in Hotel Monterey Hanzomon and it's still lovely. Location: 10/10. Right in front of the Hanzomon subway which is connected to the Tokyo City Air Terminal so it's easy to get to the airports. The Hanzomon area itself is also quiet and peaceful so at night. There's also a 7-11 and Family Mart nearby along with some cafes so you have some snack choices. Room: 9/10. Japan hotel rooms are generally small but even so this was comfy and we can open two large pieces of luggage at the same time. What I didn't like was the warm lighting though. The bathroom is also quite small for big persons. I'm tiny so it was fine for me but taller people might feel a bit cramped. Cleanliness: 10/10. Never had any problem with this. Staff: 10/10. They were very accommodating and friendly and are good in English. Front desk helped us book a taxi to Tokyo Station to catch our shinkansen.

The hotel was perfect for our arrival in Tokyo. It is located across from a station entrance with access to the convenient Hanzomon Line, and it's also a quiet neighborhood. The breakfast buffet is in a conference room so the setting isn't so luxurious but the food itself was very good! They were very thoughtful about marking allergens for the food options and providing a gluten free roll. There were also convenient laundry machines that if I remember correctly, were free to use. The room was also a decent size for Tokyo. The beds were fairly comfortable although firm. We had a great rate on this hotel so overall very happy with the stay. I would stay in this hotel or another monterey location again someday.
