Charming and convenient hotel”
We had a wonderful time in Tokyo. We were happy with our choice of hotel. Monterey La Soeur is very charming hotel, the lobby, corridor and lift are very well designed and decorated. The room is rather small if compared to hotel in Bangkok or Indonesia or Canada but it is quite acceptable for the place like Tokyo or New York, Geneva. The hotel has a cozy atmosphere, staff are friendly and helpful. The room is clean and well equiped. The bathroom is clean, bath tub is good. The hotel is located right in Ginza, the most busy place in Tokyo but there is no noise once you are in your room. We will stay this hotel if we come back to Tokyo next time.
Excellent find in Ginza”
Hotel Monterey La Soeur Ginza is value for money considering its excellent location. Ginza itchome subway station is merely 2 minutes away, Yurakucho JR station is 10 minutes away and Haneda airport is merely 30 minutes away by train/monorail. If you intend to live it up, Ginza's main shopping street Chuo-dori is just 2 streets away and there are plenty of high-end and mid-range restaurants around the hotel. The hotel itself is home to a really classy French restaurant which is filled with well-heeled foreigners and Japanese alike during meal times. It's a pity I didn't get to try the restaurant. But I'd definitely stay at the hotel when I'm next back in Tokyo
Nice hotel in Ginza with friendly pocket”
This time, I was buying the hotel for my parents. I choose Hotel Monterey La Soeur Ginza for their trip in Tokyo because I think the hotel has a great standard of a budget hotel. It offers a great location, super clean, and of course very warm services from the staffs.
Japan Standare always the Best”
Hotel Monterey La Soeur Ginza dont be comfuse with the nearby Hotel Monterey branch you have option to have BF at the nearby branch we love the room at Hotel Monterey La Soeur but the BF at the nearby branch was better
Very good customer service”
I booked this hotel because i liked the Hotel Monterey Kyoto. I booked two rooms at Hotel Monterey La Souer Ginza expecting that an additional bed can be accommodated per room. When we arrived, the hotel staff informed me that an additional bed wouldn't fit in the room so I asked for an extra room. She told me that they were fully booked. She made a call after which she informed me that two rooms are available in Hotel Monterey Ginza and an extra bed can be accommodated in the rooms. I truly appreciate this accommodation!
Value for Money hotel in Ginza”
One of the most value for money hotel that I have stay in Tokyo. Near to Ginza metro stations and within walking distance to major shopping malls. Hotel Monterey La Soeur is well located, well maintained and service staff are professional and helpful. Highly recommended.
Good Location & value”
Nice hotel and staff. Note: there are two "Monterey Ginza" hotels in Tokyo. Be sure to tell taxi driver "La Soeur" (or better show hotel name / address in Japanese characters).
My Stay at Monterey La Soeur ,Ginza , Tokyo”
I loved my short but great stay at La Soeur Monterrey. The location of our hotel is good. The roomrate was affordable Even though the room is accomodatingly small but you dont really need much since you just need a place to crash for the day.Location is good.Within walking distance from the nearest malls & convenience shop. For transportaton, take may advise, grab the subway map from the hotel staff and go around Tokyo using their trains.Dont forget to purchase the 1DAY or 2DAYS Unlimited Subway Tickets from your hotel staff..It's cost saving!..plus you get to experience the busy Japan during peak & off-peak hours.
Better than expected”
Given previous reviews, we were slightly apprehensive about coming to this hotel, but booked following a recommendation from a friend who lives in Tokyo. We were not disappointed … it was much better than we expected. Top tip …. Book a twin room … it gives you that extra space - even with a small wardrobe! Located within easy walking distance to Ginza & Ginza Itchome Metro stations it is also conveniently located within the safe, upmarket shopping area that is Ginza. The staff at Reception speak reasonable English and will help you to use their safe to store your valuables and arrange delivery of ice to your room. (There is no room service, ice machine or coin operated laundry service within the hotel.) Also ask Reception to unlock your bedroom windows if you want some fresh air. The rooms are decorated to a “Parisian Style” and the beds are comfortable within a very clean room. Adequate bathroom within which is a small bath, strong hot shower – fresh towels every day plus a range of essential toiletries provided. In room tea & coffee making facilities. Wi-fi was free and always a good signal. Downside was that the cost did not include breakfast and the price offered on arrival (JPY2100 each) was so high it was prohibitive. We made use of the in room fridge to store our own locally bought drinks & snacks & found a good breakfast locally for half the price. Note the bottle water they put in the fridge is not free. For the price we were happy with the room & service they delivered
I love this hotel chain, as all of them have been very clean, the staff has always been very kind, friendly, and helpful. The hotels have always been great. I would stay in any of the Hotel Monterey La Soeur if I can. I would totally stay again!
Thank you very much for staying with us. We are very glad to get your lovely comments. We try to improve our hospitalities in many ways. We hope you contact us again. Best Regards,
I had the pleasure to stay in both Monterey hotels in Ginza within one week. That means my comments are based on a direct comparison. While LaSoeur is clean, sufficient, and staff very friendly, rooms are smaller and a bit cramped for a long stay. As a business hotel in the middle of the action it is still a good choice. You can't beat the location. I would tale LaSoeur again... if the other Monterey does nog offer comparable prices.
Very Hotel for stay in Ginza area”
We stayed in this hotel for 7 nights. Everything about our stay in this hotel was very nice. The housekeeping was very good. Staff were very nice & courteous. Location of hotel viz a viz Tokyo Metro station was excellent. There are 3 metro stations Ginza, Ginza Itchome & Higashi Ginza at absolutely comfortable walking distance. Besides highend shopping on Chuo Dori, Namiki Dori & Satobi Dori...there are plenty of Indian food Restaurants .... The only downside of this hotel that the guest rooms & Beds are very small....We found it very difficult to accomodate 3 pieces of our baggage in the room & walk around or to toilet. Though the toilet dimensions are comfortable & is well appointed - stocked with house keeping supplies. The guest rooms have electric kettle with Tea Coffee sachets & an Ioniser. Room AC is excellent. ..We would give this hotel 4 over 5 points And recommend to travellers booking online for value for money
Nice hotel in a great location”
The best thing about this hotel is the location - right in the middle of Ginza for a reasonable price. The Ginza-itchome metro is on the same block, while Ginza metro (three additional lines) is less than 5 mins walk - getting anywhere around Tokyo is easy and fast. Lots of great restaurants and local pubs in the side streets around the hotel, with a convenience store and cafe also on the same block for quick food and coffee in the morning. The rooms themselves were nothing fancy - just a comfortable bed, desk, aircon, and clean bathroom. I really liked being able to open the window for fresh air. Reception staff were helpful and as someone who likes to travel as light as possible I appreciated the free powerpoint plug adaptors (Y1000 refundable deposit) and free umbrellas on the days it rained. Would happily stay here again - it's a perfectly adequate hotel in a great location for a very reasonable price! And you didn't come to Tokyo to spend a lot of time in your room!
i've a precious time @ Hotel Monterey La Soeur Ginza and i ll book this hotel for the next time :D
Comfortable hotel in a convenient location”
The hotel is an easy walk from the Ginza Ichome subway station. There is, however, another Monterrey hotel within 2 blocks. The staff there pointed us in the right direction (and I got the impression they have to do that quite often). The staff at our hotel were friendly and check-in was a breeze. The interior is not really spacious (this IS Tokyo...) but it is well-designed and classy. The rooms were quiet and comfortable but a bit small. No room around the bed except to shuffle, and sitting at the desk meant that the back of the chair was pretty much at the foot of the bed. 1 or 2 person room max. The bed and linens were comfortable however and nothing about the room felt or looked cheap or flimsy. Ginza is RIGHT THERE as you walk around the corner and down the block. Plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. Great access to the subway. If you are looking for a comfortable place to stay downtown and don't want to pay HUNDREDS, then this is your place.
Just Perfectly Nice”
We stayed there for 3 nights, and it was our third time stayin in a Monterey la soeur hotel. Very consistent with the other montereys, it offers pretty much the same style, the same service. Loved the location very much!
Direct access to and from Haneda Airport”
This hotel is spacious for us compare to its cost with comparable hotels in its range. Situated in central Ginza its very convenient to stroll in Ginza. You can choose 3 train line ... Hibiya, Ginza and Asakusa line, once u get use to Tokyo train system u will enjoy your stay more. To get to Haneda Airport we just need to walk less than 5 minute to Yurakucho station ( asakusa line ) and took Haneda Express directly to the airport (abt 30 minutes+) and cost less than 800 yen / person. From haneda you need to go to 2nd Floor. Highly recommended hotel to stay.
Great location but small rooms”
we stayed in ginza la soeur for just one night and for the the price we paid i can't really complain about it as ginza is the most expensive place to stay in all of tokyo. the hotel was conveniently located outside ginza-ichome station and only 5 minutes walk from ginza station where you will find an array of shops and fancy restaurants to visit. the hotel was quite nice with friendly staff however it was an inconveience to have to call down to reception during the night everytime we wanted to adjust our rooms temperature as this was the hotels procedure when using the heaters. also, it would have been nice to have a proper information booklet on the hotel with information regarding check out times etc and our toilet was making loud noises all night! however overall i would recoment the hotel for people wanting to stay a short time in ginza.
Clean room, European interior”
There were mixed reviews of this hotel so there wasn't high expectations before the stay. I had very good experience of the Hotel Monterey chain of hotels in other parts of Japan and decided to proceed to book. The booking was for a standard twin room and on arrival, hotel suggested if we want to do a top up to get a bigger room. We decided to go for the deluxe twin room which we did not regret. The room was spacious, 30 sq m and comes with a small living room with sofa, tv and side table. We could put two big luggages in this area. The bathroom was big too, it has a good range of amenities and enough handrails and towel rails. The bedroom area has another tv, bedside table, wardrobe, fridge and power points for you to charge your devices. Overall, the hotel stay was excellent, clean rooms, lots of amenities and extremely comfortable with the warm Parisian interior. I would stay here again.
Close to Kabukiza and public transportation”
My wife and I enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The rooms are on the small side however they are well maintained and clean. Free WI-FI in the rooms works well although it can be slow at times. We stayed on the 12th floor so we had a good view of the nearby area. We had stayed at the nearby Hotel Monterey in November and liked it so we thought it would be okay to stay at the Hotel Monterey La Soeur.
