Very decent for the price; great location”
This place was central enough to walk to most of Ginza (or to take the train, the nearest station to which was literally just around the corner), but just a little bit farther away from main road to not break the bank. Do not confuse this hotel with another "Hotel Monterey" a block away. You may find it easier to use as marker the "San Michele" restaurant at the hotel's ground floor. The hotel signage itself is a bit difficult to find and read, especially at night.
Good location and ok”
Room is very small but close to metro station and acceptable for value I paid for the room. But if you have huge luggages, I don’t think the size of room accommodates. So you’d better book bigger rooms. Overall, very clean, convenient, close to stations and amenities.
Near the Metro”
Good price for Ginza location, Staff is very helpful and polite. just a little bit small size for semi double room. finally , i will visit again.
Excellent little hotel room in a fantastic location”
This hotel is very easy to get to from Haneda airport l, and staying here was a great kickoff to our time in Japan. Clean rooms with nice touches everywhere. They even play white noise in the hallways to minimize the sounds of others getting into their rooms. Staff were friendly, amenities were fantastic. Anyone complaining about the room size just isn't used to Ginza hotels, rent is expensive here so space is limited. Would stay again for sure!!
We stayed at a different hotel in Tokyo and it was bigger and cheaper and newer. Staff was ok.
An excellent place in tokyo to stay. ”
I stayed for 6 nights consecutively and had a wonderful time with this hotel. The place is cleaned daily and very near the metro exit (along the same street). There is a 7-eleven right next to the hotel to purchase all your necessities. Disneyland is just 30 mins away as the station (ginza itachome) has a "direct" line with just 1 transfer. The con is that breakfast and dinner set at the hotel is quite expensive but u can head to ginza to get cheap meals. Overall i would stay at this place again when i return to tokyo.
Great hotel, nearby subway metro stations and near other locations like Shibuya and Shinjuku. Has nearby 711 and drug store downstairs and nearby restaurants. Room was kinda small but its fine as thats what we booked.
I had the pleasure to stay in both Monterey hotels in Ginza within one week. That means my comments are based on a direct comparison. While LaSoeur is clean, sufficient, and staff very friendly, rooms are smaller and a bit cramped for a long stay. As a business hotel in the middle of the action it is still a good choice. You can't beat the location. I would tale LaSoeur again... if the other Monterey does nog offer comparable prices.
This hotel is just walking distance to JR lines and metro trains. It is also walking distance if you want to tsukiji fish market if you want to have an early breakfast there. The staff are nice. Though the room is small but it’s clean. We are even provided with a handy mobile phone.
Just right for everything!”
The hotel is walking distance to Tokyo train station but not very close. Many places of interests are around. The hotel is value for money and the staff are very friendly. There are convenient stores around. All in all very good!
Excellent Located Hotel”
Situated just one block away from the Ginza Main Shopping street, the hotel sits right on top of Ginza Itchome Station. Nearby to all good food joints & shopping arena, its an apt location for easy commuting.
The room was extremely small and very noisy in the morning when the hotel stuff start the housekeeping works. Anyway the location was good and near to Kyobashi station.
Room is small although location wise is good.
Excellent location, easy access to transport. Price not bad.”
This hotel is great!”
The location is right in the middle of the most vibrant and swanky part of Tokyo, Ginza! Very convenient for commute, close to Yurakocho JR station Yamanote line. Restos and convenience stores abound in the area. The only downside is the very small space in the room, one of the smallest I experienced in Tokyo.
Love this hotel! It's a small hotel but is well equipped. Don't expect big rooms as 2 people in the room is already at its maximum. Despite this, the stay was very comfortable and I really appreciated the location. Plus there's a great Italian restaurant you should try right in front. There's also a 7/11 right beside it. It is walking distance to all the shopping areas in Ginza. The french plate in breakfast that comes along with the room is also great! Such a lovely way to start off the morning. They also give you the option to eat breakfast at their sister hotel right around the corner which had a buffet style kind of breakfast (if you don't want to eat in their cafe and there's no additional charge). Friendly staff as well! I couldn't say more about this hotel! Worth much more than the amount spent.
Better than expected”
When I first saw hotel picture, I was a little bit concerned. However, it was better than I expected. The hotel is about 9 min walk to Ginza station, and Yurakucho station, which is 1 station from Tokyo station. You can walk directly to Tokyo station which will take 4-5 minutes longer. Hotel is clean and also not too far away from Tsukiji market. Room is a little bit small, OK for 1 person, 2 maybe a little bit tight. Staff are OK, helpful. I wouldn’t mind staying there again.
Good location ”
Walking distance from many subways and JR stations nearby, nice clean n tidy room, if you don't like the American Breakfast with service you may go few steps enjoy the buffet breakfast at nearby chain hotel.
Value for Money hotel in Ginza”
One of the most value for money hotel that I have stay in Tokyo. Near to Ginza metro stations and within walking distance to major shopping malls. Hotel Monterey La Soeur is well located, well maintained and service staff are professional and helpful. Highly recommended.
Good hotel with great view but very small rooms”
Overall in a super location close to Ginza main street and extremely well connected. Easy access to bus / train to airport and staff is helpful. Hotel is clean with lots of places to eat around. One issue: We went here having booked a small double, and were told it will be too small for 2 guests (which was surprising as at time of booking it was mentioned that the room was for 2 people). However, for a nominal additional amount we were upgraded to a slightly bigger bed, which again was not adequately big for a "upsized" bed. Kudos for helping us upgrade for nominal amount, but it just didn't fit two grown adults (even by Tokyo standards).
