This hotel is just a few minutes walk from the Hauptbahnhof, the main railway station in Frankfurt. The helpful staff and the extensive breakfast made my stay pleasant. The room was dated, but clean and comfortable. I recommend this hotel.
Great rooms and location”
Great rooms and services. price including free breakfast. however, only one device access for the free internet. Rooms are big and clean. located pretty close to the city and the main station. overall, hotel is great for its price.
I have stayed in 4 hotels and this is the best”
1 of the best hotels , near to the hauptbahnhof and city shopping center , modern clean room , nice breakfast but is open for only few hours , in proximity to everything u need , rld is just 3 min walk, hauptbahnhof 2 min walk , while shopping is just 5 min walk, cheap rates and cost effective i ll for sure rate it as best.
Charmkess hotel with a great location”
Common of many hotels in Germany, Munchener is a small, clean, very basic hotel, in other words clinical, utilitarian and charmless. Staff's service was efficient, but not necessarily always with a smile. Breakfast spread was basic, but practically the same thing every morning. Nevertheless, I like the hotel for its promximity to HBF station (just across the street). If I have to be in Frankfurt again, I wouldn't mind staying at Munchener again.
Room is bad”
The batheroom door cannot be closed. And the hair dryer is out or order. The lift is too small that only two people with the luggages can go inside. There are lots of bars near the hotel and many noise are there till mid night. As there is no fan, you need to open the window to help circulate.
Good location ,many restaurant around the area
Good value for $ for sure.
front desk attitude was horrible ”
the person at the front desk name was Hashim he was really mad with people and very rude, he was telling me customers are not my God and I don’t care why are you here in my hotel(he wasn’t manager) and when I asked him to call his manager but he refused that and I realized their manager was in the office but he didn’t call him at all, just FYI I travel to Germany a lot and I was in more than 50 different hotels just in Frankfurt but I didn’t see any aggressive person specially at hotel with very bad attitude, this place was good hotel but I never get back there just because of that person, he made me very mad and I’m really upset to waste my time and money in that property, I need you to review and follow up with whoever should be responsible about that agent and they need to replace that person with someone else
The location is not bad because it is near to the Hbf. Halal restaurants can be found just in front of the hotel. Quite hot if you are planning to stay here during summer due to no AC. Creepy stuff happened to us when we stayed there. Overall, it was okay.
unfortunate incidents staying at the hotel”
Stayed for 7 nights & encountered the followings: 1. 1st night was extremely cold throughout the whole night and as a result did not sleep at all! Found out the glass windows were unable to close & lock due to diffects! 2 Further the room door rattled throughout thus causing disturbances Informed the Front desk and had the problems resolved 3. On the last night which was the 30th January, the huge oil painting fell onto us suddenly while we were in bed! Fortunately we were wide awake & alert failing which could be disastrous! Otherwise the hotel stay was pleasant & good!
Near central station, breakfast included but bed sucks”
i was deciding between this hotel and Leonardo hotel opposite along the same street but i chose here cos it's a double room at about the same price with breakfast included. Leonardo is slightly nearer to the train station (just a few steps nearer). If i had a choice, i would book Mercure hotel instead (which i stayed at my last trip here). The bed was so much better at Mercure and everything looks brighter. Muechner is old and looks run-down. The reception is small and it has a small lift. The double bed was actually 2 single beds of different sizes (one is longer but thinner and another is shorter but wider) and with different springs. Both beds aren't good for my back, especially after a long day of walking. I had to switch between the beds in the middle of the night. My 1st impression on the hotel was definitely not fantastic. However, after 5 nights here, i don't have much complaints given the price i paid. The breakfast is decent (ham, chicken ham, bread, eggs, sausages, tomatoes, cucumbers, cheese, variety of tea, jam spreads, nutella, butter, coffee, juices, pre-packed cake snack etc. The water is free for guests to drink during breakfast and cannot be used to refill your bottle.), the lift is working (i was given a room at level 6 i.e. 7th floor for Singapore), there is a fan in the room (some hotels in Europe don't even provide a fan - i was soaking in my sweat when i woke up in Prague), the hot water in bathroom works really well (very good for a hot bath) and i think they change the towels for me every day. the TV works well with many channels also. It's quite a cozy place to stay. quiet at night, can't hear any commotion downstairs. And there's a Rossman convenient store just opposite the hotel. Many eateries along also, especially Asian food. i love that it's super near the central station cos i do day trips every day and the hotel helps with luggage storage (i left my luggage from 10.00am to 8pm when i arrived and from 10.00am to 6pm on check out da
A good TWO star hotel (not really a 3 star hotel)”
This is a rather simple hotel (2 stars in my humble opinion) with adequate room amenities: Good WIFI throughout my 4 day stay, good Cable TV with ample international channels, in-room safe and best of all an EMPTY small fridge (so ample space to store your own drinks, fruits, yogurts etc....). Hotel and rooms are reasonably clean so no complaints. I had the good fortune of getting room facing the back as front rooms, may be be noisy from the heavy traffic but it could be sound proofing from windows is adequate: This is Germany. But be warned that there is no air conditioning only a fan. Reception and breakfast staff are responsive for the most part. I also found the included breakfast satisfying but not fancy in any way. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone as long as the price is right (and hopefully not very hot on those days).
I enjoyed my stay at this hotel”
Hotel room was cosy and clean. Size is considered ok for the price that I paid. Breakfast was good. Hotel is within walking distance to the popular Romer area and scenic Maine River. Will stay in this hotel again.
very decent budget hotel”
We arrived with moderate expectations after having booked a budget hotel. In fact, we found that the Muenchner Hof is a very good option if you need to be close to the main train station and wish to be careful about expenses. Our room covered all the basic necessities more than adequately - and dimensions were very acceptable (only the elevator was quite small). On some floors, smoking rooms are available on request. The hotel also offers a pretty nice breakfast buffet. All staff members were courteous and professional. When we checked out, we felt that we had made a good choice based on our requirements for this trip!
staff helped us out with a family bereavement, putting on extra breakfast for my sister and her husband, non guests. room was comfortable, breakfast was tasty and filling and the hotel was in a reasonable part of town near the railway station. luggage was kept until departure for cologne later in the day. well satisfied, thank you Frankfurt.
Central, Clean and Affordable”
We stayed four nights at the Hotel Muenchner. It was a great base from which we visited the Frankfurt area's many sights. The rooms are small but very clean. The street itself on which the hotel is located has many Turkish stores and restaurants. Downtown Frankfurt's pedestrian core is a 10-minute walk. We'd stay here again.
The bear necessary, but clean room”
Good over all, except from the light odours travelling inside the elevator, from the chinese restaurant kitchen downstairs, in the afternoon through the evening. We slept with the window open and we had some street noises keeping us company, but it calmed down through the night, and we slept well. The price was affordable, so because of it and the fact that the room was clean, it was as expected, good enough.
The hotel was much better than expected. Though not a "stylish" area of town, it was convenient for an overnight stay and the facility was clean and quite. The breakfast was just fine and the area provided numerous food options. Great stay.
reasonable and good locattion hotel”
its a reasonable price hotel, and location is good because it is exactly next to frankfurt main station. There are convenient store nearby. The services is good , but dont have any wifi here unless you can pay for it. If you want to find any information , only a laptop computer provided in lobby. Breakfast are just okay , not many choices there. Rooms are quite tidy ,it is suitable for bugdet traveller.
Excellent location & modest price”
Hotel is very convenient to Central Station. Breakfast is included & is good. However, lift is very small. Our room's toilet light not working on the 1st night & only managed to replaced the bulb the next day.
