The location is excellent — just a short walk from Sakae Station, making it very convenient for getting around Nagoya. The hotel was clean and well-maintained overall, though the shower curtain had a musty smell, possibly from not drying properly — it would be great if this could be replaced more frequently. The breakfast buffet serves the same selection each day, but it’s decent. With enough options, you can still try something different each morning if you prefer variety. One nice bonus is that the hotel is close to a Family Mart, where people tend to gather at night for drinks and casual conversation. While this means there’s a bit of ambient noise from people chatting and laughing, it wasn’t disruptive at all from our room on the 5th floor. Overall, a convenient and comfortable stay — I’d definitely stay here again.

MYSTAYS Nagoya Nishiki is a very nice and clean hotel, with plenty of amenities. The hotel even provides daily cleaning service, something not offered in any other hotels that we stayed during our trip to Japan. The hotel is very strategically located, just minutes away from 2 subway stations and several bus stops, Don Quijote Honten, with a FamilyMart just around the corner. The neighborhood can be pretty active at night, with many people frequenting the area for a night out.

We checked in the day before our Ghibli Park visit. The hotel let us leave our bags after checkout for FREE while we went to Ghibli Park and we picked up our bags at 6pm. The hotel was easy to find and just a few minutes walk from the train station. It was also near to mirai tower and oasis 21. Very safe to walk going to these places even at night. Room is also big and clean and had all the amenities you needed.

The front desk staff were very kind and engaged in small talk with smiles, making my enjoyable trip even better. The room was clean and the bath was spacious. However, while it is quiet during the day, the intersection in front of the nearest convenience store became quite crowded at night with people from various shops hanging out. Although they are just going about their business, those who are not accustomed to the atmosphere might be a bit surprised. Men might find it challenging if approached. The location is close to the station, and many restaurants and department stores in Sakae are within walking distance. If you want to sleep quietly, it may be a good idea to include a request for this when making a reservation or to check in early and ask if a quieter room could be arranged.

The hotel's location is in the downtown area of Sakae, the area is surrounded by shopping stores, dining/restaurants and bars so if you are into nightlife this is a perfect location. It is convenient as it is also near train station and bus station. While the outside of the hotel is busy and a lot of people at night, the hotel itself is quiet and clean inside, the rooms are accurately represented in photos. It is a simple hotel that offers comfortable and functional stay. It offers good value for the price so it is a very good choice for budget-conscious travelers. The staff are friendly helpful and most of them can speak and understand English. Check in and check out is very quick and efficient. You can easily ask for extra amenities such as towels and they have free additional amenities such as lotion, facial cleanser and other toiletries that are available in the ground floor lobby. Overall, Hotel MyStays Nagoya Nishiki is a great option for travelers who opt for an affordable and clean hotel that is in the center of Nagoya.
