[Regarding traffic restrictions and parking lots during the Minato Festival]
Thank you for booking HOTEL MYSTAYS Shimizu.
The Shimizu Minato Festival will be held for three days from August 4th to 6th.
National Route 149 will be closed from 17:30 to 21:30 on the 4th and 5th.
If you come by car, from the rotary at Shimizu Station
From the side of the building where "Coco Ichibanya" and "Yoshinoya" are lined up on the first floor
Please come through the side road along the railroad tracks.
The hotel has about 20 parking spaces on the premises, and about 10 parking spaces for affiliates.
It will be on a first-come-first-served basis from the check-in start time.
In addition, since guests staying consecutive nights may continue to use the parking lot, there may be days when there are few vacancies at the time check-in starts.
Both the on-site parking lot and affiliated parking lot are 1,100 yen per night.
Please note that we do not accept reservations.
If the parking lot is full, we will guide you to a nearby coin parking, but please find an empty coin parking on your own.
Coin-operated parking lots nearby are expected to be congested during the Minato Matsuri period.
We apologize for the inconvenience, but please use public transportation or walk as much as possible.

I really loved this hotel and the view was amazing. Again it came with a lot of amenities and very family friendly. We had a kitchen, living room and sleeping quarters. This hotel has parking for 5 parking spots for (300 or bigger plate car). If your car is smaller then lots of parking is there. There are parking spots close by to rent. Very nice place to stay. I would book this if i go back to shizuoka

Why not escape the busy town center and high rates ”
10 minutes train ride out of Shizuoka city center gives you this hotel with much higher C/P value. Give a room at JR Shimizu side and you'd wake up with view of Mt Fuji on a fine weather day. Lighting wasn't sufficient but no problem borrowing a desk lamp.

Wonderful bath tub & TINY bathroom”
The room is beautiful, yet the bathroom was so small…I believe I am regular build for an Asian American, yet I kept bumping my elbows against the door frame. I know my brother (182cm/over 6ft) would not be comfortable. This made the bathing area/bath tub look SO big. The bed was comfortable, yet the desk space felt very crowded with all the ‘things’ (lamp, notepads, screen/tv, pot, etc).

One bad staff ruined my stay”
Stayed there on 2nd August. I sent a polite email to ask if it’s possible to check-in early as I had an important meeting. The person responded with a lazy and rude 5 word response. “Check in is at 1500. Please note that” Not even a "Dear ..". , no suggestion, apology or offer to use the lobby Wifi for my meeting. It’s fine if I couldn’t check in early that's not my gripe. I could understand certain hotels have a policy but the response was rude and less than helpful. Regardless whether they can speak English well or not, the lack of service ethic is appalling. When I asked the staff to tell me their name twice, I received no response. I called the hotel to ask for an explanation and all I got was one of the staff yelling to another staff in Japanese, "it's that guy , it's that guy.." How bloody rude.

The hotel is walking distance to train station. No shopping centre around but many restaurants and eateries. The room is fairly big but is very clean. Quality breakfast buffet. Hotel carpark charges ¥1100/day, however, you can get cheaper rates ¥800/day at the train station.
