On the day of our stay, there was a live event and all the hotels were very expensive, but we were able to book this hotel at the usual rate. The service and facilities were top-notch and we had a very comfortable stay. Although we couldn't get the room we had planned for, we were upgraded and had an even more comfortable stay, which was very satisfying. We not only enjoyed the live event, but also did some sightseeing in Dazaifu before returning to our room exhausted. However, we were able to sleep soundly until morning on the comfortable bed. We will definitely stay here again.

Booked New Otani for 7 nights. Communicated with staff about my infant and 2 small children. They were able to set up a crib and children welcome kit with amenities beforehand. That was such a nice and thoughtful touch. Staff was beyond hospitable with helping us with our luggage at check in as well as organizing two taxis for us to transfer back to airport for departure. We also were able to order a stroller and have it delivered to the hotel, which they graciously accepted for us and delivered to our room. This was by far one of the best customer service experiences we have had with hotel hospitality. The bellman even ensured that the two taxi drivers were well informed about taking us to the airport in two separate vehicles since we had a large party and excess luggage. Everyday they replenished our amenities and turned over our room which was godsend for a family with 3 small children. Taking taxis from the hotel was a breeze and location is central in Fukuoka. Unfortunately we didn’t have the opportunity to try out any of the restaurants, but for customer service, location and price, this is the perfect hotel for a family with small children. We are so elated with our stay at New Otani and will look forward to our next stay!

Big room with 2 twin beds, sofa, small round table and a work table with chair. Exceptional size compared to other Japanese hotels. Its a 45 year old hotel but their facilities and cleanliness is at par with newer hotels. Our room is fully renovated located in the 7th floor. 3 fast elevators. We never waited for more than 20 seconds to ride an elevator. Very efficient hotel staff. Very clean hotel. Perfect hotel location. All the places we want to see is not more than 1.5 kms. Hotel rate per night is much worth it.

Had a pleasant stay overall. Great location just right outside Watanabe-dori station, few stations away from Hakata. There is also a lot of convenience stores around and a nearby supermarket. The hotel is a bit outdated but I booked here for the big spacious room. Staff also cleaned our room every day and replenished room amenities. Reception staff also friendly and very welcoming. Wifi though is a bit poor/slow and can be improved.
