Awesome traditional hotel with super friendly staff”
We loved our stay at New Tsuruta. Room was spacious, clean, well equipped and stylish. Free onsen and included great buffet breakfast were our highlights. Not far from train station and big supermarket very close by. Staff was incredibly friendly, trying to help us for probably an hour calling airlines. We had a great stay, would definitely recommend this hotel and would love to come back!

Rather easy to locate the hotel. Once you step out of Beppu station, just walk straight all the way till the end of the road and then turn right. Around 10 mins walk way. There is a department store and a shopping mall near the hotel. The hotel looks a bit run down but this is compensated by the large rooms and friendly staff. The rooms were large in Japanese context. You can practically dance around the room. :) Simple breakfast is served and we enjoyed our 3 nights' stay here. If we go back to Beppu again, will definitely stay here again and try out the onsen.

Very close to the Nishitetsu Bus Station to/from Fukuoka or Oita Airport. Local and regional bus stops also very near. Few minutes walk to the JR station. Tatami room is spacious with Beppu bay view. Staffs are very helpful and friendly. Breakfast and Onsen is nice. Will come back.

Owns two hot spring sources at Hotel New Tsuruta. You can overlook Beppu Bay from the bathhouse on the 6th floor. This is a venerable hotel. The breakfast buffet is also delicious. People from all over the country come to the massage shop on the 1st floor for treatment.

Very friendly staff, great location, big room”
We booked 6 different hotels in Kyushu for our whole trip. The staffs of this hotel were the most friendly and helpful. We booked a Japanese room for 5 persons and we asked for a non-smoking room but it is not guaranteed. Eventually, we got a room with very strong smoke smell, but they provide air purifier and spray to reduce the smell. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would stay here again.

the location is a bit far from tourist spots such as the Beppu 7 Hells. However, it is value for money with big spacious room. the free car park in front of the hotel is very convenient to park if you rent a car and drive there. the room is big and clean. the onzen is goodwith complete indoor, outdoor bath and sauna. the lotion for after bath provided is also good quality. however, the breakfast is boring as they are same for each day during my 3 days staying here. Lastly, please remember to visit the hotel souvenir corner as the horse oil cream selling here is quite reasonable price.

The room is specious and clean. Breakfast buffet offered Japanese, Korean and western style. Location is near bus stop, train station and shopping malls( UME town and Tokiwa) Hotel has its own car park.

A short walk from Beppu station, nice onsen bath”
It was a pleasant hotel, its a but old but spacious. Staffs were kind and I loved the onsen. It huge and the open bath has a good view of Oita bay. Its easy to find and near kitabeppu bus station.

Reserved for a Japanese tatami room with bay view and buffet breakfast. The hotel is kind of old, but in a good location, near shopping mall and many restaurant near by, and the front desk is helpful. The hot spring shower area is not too big, but nice. The buffet breakfast was not so luxury, but have many choices, especially Japanese style. The greatest part was the view of sunrise from our room, love it. Definitely will come again!
