Nikko Dusseldorf is an absolutely wonderful hotel. The room was spotless, location is incredibly central and staff are great. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area. Breakfast is well worth it with some Japanese options and the pool area is very relaxing.
Hotel was better than the reviews I read. Location is nearby a lot of Asian restaurants, walking distance to Altstadt. Bed is comfortable and no water stuck on the floor. Check in and out was good and efficient. However, I wish they provide toiletries in the bathroom. Good hotel, will stay there again if I'm in Dusseldorf
Excellent facilities and cleanliness but beware of the trainee at reception”
I had an excellent experience with the hotel and it is very much dependent on which front desk officer receives you at the point of check-in and check-out. We had a very nice lady at check-in which took efforts to help us locate a room of our preference - twin bed instead of double. At check-out, it was a disaster, the trainee at the reception did not bother to ask for my preference to pay in EUR or my own currency and just assume to that I will pay in my own currency resulting in an additional 3% dynamic currency exchange rate being slapped onto my payment, I told her to void this transaction as I want to pay in EUR, she told me it is not possible, and she will have to call the bank and on top of that says that the Machine has automatically processed my payment in my currency. I find her extremely ignorant because every credit card transaction can be voided via the same machine. And she had pressed on something in yellow to allow the payment to be processed in my currency, her colleague then said something to her, and suddenly she knows how to void the transaction. But unfortunately expensive bills she put onto my card is on hold and had used up my credit limit on this card. What angers me the most is because of this, she couldn't process my payment in EUR, and she was very arrogant and said: "Look, I tried and you can't pay in EUR." I really like Hotel Nikko and hope you can train your trainees better.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Nikko Hotel and if we go to Dusseldorf again we will certainly stay there again
Highly recommended for both business and leisure travelers ”
Located within walking distance to both train station and city centre, Hotel Nikko is situated at the heart of Japanese area. Rooms are nicely appointed and well equipped. The only problem we had was with the shower. The bar was busy during our stay. Didn't try the Japanese restaurant as there are more choices in the immediate neighborhood. The ramen shop across the street always has a queue at the door and is from Sapporo originally.
Hotel Nikko Dusseldorf”
The hotel seems old and tired. The room was really very standard, carpets were stained a little, the ceiling in bathroom had stains of rust. My window looked right in windows of business meeting rooms, so I had to keep jalousie closed all the time, and it was dark in the room. The breakfast was quite poor. Really strange seems 15 EUR extra charge for using pool. The hotel Japanese restaurant also left not the best impressions - poor menu, 40 minutes wait for few rolls. I’m sure you can find much better accommodation in Dusseldorf for this price.
Everything is good”
- The room is nice and big - Staff are helpful and good in English - carpark spaces available, and are easy to park - walkable distance to Dusseldorf Train station - Nice Japanese restaurants nearby with good quality
Convenient location with high standard”
Very good location close to the station and many Japanese restaurant and shops, easily found on Immerman street. Really the center of Dusseldorf convenient for business and shopping. Benkei restaurant is one of the highest grade Japanese restaurant good both with business guests or family use. Sauna and pool are also good.
I had a great stay at Nikko Hotel ,, and I'm sure that I will stay there again. The staff are really friendly at this hotel, the only problem I had was the annoying dog in the same floor where my room but it's not the hotel mistake at all.
My room was on 9th floor, very large and very comfortable. Location for me was perfect few steps from Public transportation with direct connection to the Messe Dusseldorf and 1 station to old town or Main railways station. Many Japanese and Asian restaurant in the area.
nice hotel during the interpack show. the hotel is located in the main road and near to the dusseldorf hbf where is easy to go to anywhere in dusseldorf and also to other cities. near by the hotel, we can find many restaurants for asian foods as well as international foods, the hotel is clean and good quality of furnitures.
Under renovation (Aug 2019) and OLD towels”
Hotel Nikko in San Francisco is a fancy place. But this one in Düsseldorf was disappointing. I think they just finished renovating the lobby (that's why it looks nice), but the other floors of the hotel are still work-in-progress. The towels are absolutely AWEFUL; it's not something for a 4-star hotel. They were all raggedy, thin, and dingy! I use better rags to wash my car at home! The good: - on site underground parking - location - clean and contemporary lobby - friendly and efficient lobby staff - very good breakfast bar - good sized rooms The bad: - hotel is under renovation. On 4th floor, smells of glue or something. On 7th, missing floor baseboards. - AC not working in room 709. - telephone not working (can't call housekeeping) - bath towels are OLD (raggedy and dingy) - parking is €20/day.
Nikko the best in town”
We stayed again in the Japanese quarter at Düsseldorf. Nikko is by far the best hotel (price quality) in town. The hotel is being updated but even that didnot cause any trouble for us.
Just return from Dusseldorf and had a very disappointing 3-night stay in Hotel Nikko. I booked a fully paid stay 5- night stay from 11th to 16th Dec through Agoda but checked in only on 13th Dec due to extended stay in Osnabruck due to work schedule. Notified the front desk of the room's lock is faulty and she ensured to send the technician to repair it on the same day but nothing was done throughout my stay. They could have get it repaired between 11th and 12th Dec before my arrival. There was a safety evacuation 15th Dec 12am and all hotel guests were mustered below the hotel compound for almost an hour. No staff was around usher the crowd in the cold night and no explanation was offered when I checked out on 16th Dec. I wonder if the guests that stayed on were given the reason of the evacuation. I have high expectation of Hotel Nikko because of the very pleasant experience during my daily vacation between 2016 and 2018 in Tokyo and Osaka.
Very comfortable hotel”
the position of the hotel is very convenient: it is only 10 minutes walk from the main train station. the city centre and the old town are also quite near by walk. the check in is very fast. the hotel is very silent and quiet. we had a double room on the 6th floor and it was very silent and comfortable. the quality of the double bed was very good. things which might be improved: - currently the access to the swimming pool costs 15 eur: it would be better to make it free and let the customers pay just for any possible additional service (e.g. spa, wellness, etc.) - no free newspapers in the reception.
The hotel is located in between Dusseldorf Main Station and the Old Town. It is about 1.5 Km from the Rhein River.
Great Japanese Hotel”
Wonderful location, right in the heart of Little Tokyo in Düsseldorf! Surrounded by many many eateries, especially Japanese, to suit all budgets! And they're delicious too! Within walking distance of the shopping district!! Modern and elegant hotel! Typically Japanese! Rooms are clean and bright!! My only gripe would be the design of the shower! The entire bathroom floor gets absolutely flooded after each shower as the drainage system is quite poorly designed! Other than that, it's a GREAT hotel!! Really enjoyed our stay there!!
Nice hotel, good location”
Nice hotel, large rooms and good location for city trip. Only negative, no own parking, costs eur 22 per day which is much if you stay a weekend.
Excellent hotel, very close to main train station (HBf) with easy access to whole city and airport. This was my second stay and will stay agin the next time in in Dorf.
We have been stayed in this hotel for three days and we were very impressed about the location and the services. Our room (standard) is nice & clean equipped with all you need for your business. The toilet is standard but a bit small. Their breakfast is good but the Japanese food is great. We will stay in this hotel again next time.
