Hotel Nikko Kanazawa provides guests a Western sense of elegance through its architecture and its decor. At 130 meters high, this hotel is the highest in the Hokuriku area. Comfortably situated within the center of Kanazawa, many of the tourist destinations are within a short walk of this hotel. The beauty of this hotel’s design can easily be seen by the cascading stairway in the lobby, and this style is also conveyed in the decor of the rooms. For Japanese grill, be sure to have a meal at Benkay, noted for its faithfulness to Kanazawa local cuisine. All guests should be sure to have a drink at Le Grand Chariot and enjoy the view of the city from this sky lounge.

One of the best hotel in our japan trip”
our family, 2 adults and a 8 years old child, visit japan by train and by bus started from yokohama to hakone, gero, takayama & shirakawa-go, kanazawa, kyoto and nagoya for 10 days trip. we're happy when we arrived in kanazawa since we founded nikko kanazawa hotel is on the road in front of the central train station and bus stop to main attraction area. we've got very appreciated service from hotel staff and beautiful veiw of luxury room. compare with other hotels that we stayed on this trip at same level of cost, nikko kanazawa is very reasonable price.
The service we received at Hotel Nikko Kanazawa was most commendable, one of the best. Prior to our arrival in Kanazawa, I had emailed the hotel with several queries and both the hotel's reservation team (Ms Lin) and concierge team (Hisae Kojima, Mari Sado & Ai Terai) responded promptly - providing comprehensive guides on how to get to the hotel from Tokyo & helping us made reservations at our own list of restaurants. Upon check-in, the front desk also presented us with directions to get to each of the reserved restaurants. Separately, the hotel is conveniently located within 3 mins walking distance of Kanazawa station. The room & toilet size were decent.
Fantastic hotel, with a service team that goes above and beyond!”
Hotel Nikko Kanazawa punches well above its weight. I paid 4-star cost and received 5-star service; incredible value for money and I couldn't be happier with the excellent help we received from the concierge team (thank you again to Ms Kojima, Mr Sado and Ms Terai!). Every hotel staff member we talked to spoke English very well, or were native English speakers. True, the hotel doesn't have a pool. It doesn't have a gym. Doesn't matter. It's worth every penny and without a doubt if I were to stay in Kanazawa again, I would stay at the Hotel Nikko Kanazawa again too.
Kanazawa's Best Hotel”
The Hotel Nikko Kanazawa, also known as Kanazawa's "JAL" hotel, is conveniently located across the street from Kanazawa station. Whether you travel to the city by train or plane, you will end up at Kanazawa station, so the location is great if you're tired from traveling and want to get to the hotel right away. The hotel lobby is very luxurious, and hotel staff attentive. Rooms are generously sized for Japanese standards. Getting a package with breakfast is recommended; there is a delicious buffet on the 2F.
A fantastic hotel with excellent staff in a great location.”
My stay at the Hotel Nikko Kanazawa was great value for money. I had a very clean, non smoking room on the 25th floor with an incredible view of Kanazawa. The location is so close to the train station, if you are arriving by train its only a 2 minute walk to the hotel. The reception staff are also very welcoming and were able to speak English to a high standard.I had a very comfortable stay at the Hotel Nikko Kanazawa and I would recommend it to others.
Superb stay in a lovely cultural city”
We had a very enjoyable stay at this very lovely hotel close to the Kanazawa Train Station and the wonderful FORUS shopping complex. We walked from the hotel to the Omicho market, which is great to see the snow crab during winter (the most expensive being 20,000 Yen). We also walked to the main city attractions from the hotel, that is Kanazawa Castle and the Kenrokuen Garden. We also caught the hop on shuttle from the nearby bus stop to the largest of the chaya districts - Higashi Chaya. The bus stop is located just outside the station - a 300 metre walk - most of which can be underground, via the station, from the hotel. If you wish to visit Unesco Heritage Shirakawago, this is simple to arrange and a bus can be easily caught nearby. The breakfast was superb and the Danish pastries were to die for - particularly outstanding and we had stayed at the Shangri-La in Tokyo - but the ones at the Kanazawa Nikko - were superior. We also adored our cocktail and delightfully presented hor d'ouvres in the bar. Not too expensive - a fair price for the service and luxe surrounding and views. It is a great hotel for providing views of Kanazawa. I believe the building itself maybe the tallest in the city. Only one drawback was the blocked access to HDMI ports on the TV set - which meant we couldn't access any of our own material we had brought along. This is a bit of an issue because we can't understand Japanese TV. It was the only hotel in Japan we stayed at that did this. However, we cannot complain about the overall staff service, which was wonderful and I would recommend the hotel.
Wonderful stay in Kanazawa. ”
We were very pleased with our stay at the Hotel Nikko Kanazawa. We arrived early and still wet from our trek out of the Shirakawago rain and they welcomed us warmly and got us checked in early so that we could start drying out. A very comfortable and good sized room with an incredible view of Kanazawa Station. Great location across from the station.
Prefect hotel in Kanazawa”
That is a wonderful stay in Hotel Nikko Kanazawa. First of all the location is very good. Just 5 min walk from the main station. The room space is large and very clean. The service is excellent. All the stuffs are friendly and nice. I can say that's the best hotel that I ever stayed in Kanazawa.
Incredible service and accomodations”
This was my second time staying at the Nikko in Kanazawa. I love how there's a direct underground route from the JR station to the hotel. I also really appreciate how accommodating and friendly the staff are. There's a wide variety of restaurants and shopping near the Nikko as well. I particularly like the book store in the mall at the JR station.
Fantastic hotel near the Kanazawa Station.”
A fantastic hotel with great staff. One our first night we asked for reservations to a good sushi restaurant. The concierge booked us into one of the top 5 best sushi restaurant in Kanazawa city. Wow. Our meal was fantastic and we were so fortunate to have this lady concierge made the reservation for us. The rooms are clean and the bathrooms are fantastic. Shower water pressure is perfect. Breakfast is another great item in this hotel. Very excellent. Location of the hotel was great. Just next to Kanazawa Station & bus terminal - it allowed us to make excursions around the city using the bus and also we managed to visit Shirakawa-go with the express bus. Nearby the hotels were plenty of good restaurants and bars. All-in, we truly enjoyed our short stay in this hotel.
A good deal !!!”
Nikko Kanazawa is absolutely fantasic . The stuffs are very helpful. from parking to front desk. They can help to make my travel life in Kanazawa a very easy one. The location is just perfect and easy for those drivers or train travellers. would like to stay here again when I visit Kanazawa again
Our stay at Hotel Nikko Kanazawa was great! It was near Kanazawa Station and the MachiNori docks. Really convenient to get around. The room was great too and we had a good sleep there!
High end feel”
Our first impression on entering the foyer was “wow”. From there, we certainly were not disappointed. The staff were friendly and efficient on check-in. The room was spacious compared to other hotels in Japan, with a very high end feel for the rate charged. Amenities in the room were as expected. Not to mention the proximity to Kanazawa station - about 350 metres. There are a number of restaurants to chose from each providing a different cuisine. We ate at the Japanese one night and had the buffet (French) the next. Both were excellent quality and reasonably priced. We also managed to fit in an afternoon tea on the ground floor - delicious and also great value.
Good location, comfortable environment”
I am impressed by the Hotel concierge Ms. Ali's professional performances. Her service passion and patience towards foreign tourists like me, I think it is the real asset of Hotel Nikko Kanazawa.
Superb hotel within easy walk of train station”
The Hotel Nikko was easy to find and easy to walk to from the JR train station. Beautiful lobby, staff was super friendly and good English skills. The room was large, even by western standards, the bathroom was pristine and spacious as well. Free high speed wi-fi in the room, which included a hot water pot and small refrigerator. Bathroom well supplied with necessary toiletries and hair dryer. Our room was recently updated and that included an extra security step to get into our hallway. I highly recommend this hotel and the Agoda price was well worth it.
2 Blocks Away from JR station, has underground passageway”
Very nice hotel, beside shopping mall and short walk to JR station. There is an underground passageway, although we didn't know initially after arriving from the train station so had to endure a bit of cold and rainy weather walking over. Check in was efficient and fast. We checked in early so rooms weren't available, but the front desk was quick to check to give us a room (we reserved 4 rooms) at least to freshen up before we headed out to explore Kanazawa. Nice hotel, complete amenities including air purifier/humidifier - although we had to google image translate to know how to work it. We had a triple room and additional bed was comfy - not just any folding bed that a fellow adult sleeping there would feel shortchanged :-) Rooms were large and clean and best of all, very accessible to train station and buses leaving for the city and attractions.
Incredible hotel and staff”
My stay at the Nikko Kanazawa was incredible. I was looking for a good yakiniku restaurant in the area and the consierge was able to recommend a place near by that all of the staff really liked. She also called the restaurant and made a reservation for me.
The hotel is located just opposite the Kanazawa train station and is a great hub by which to travel around Kanazawa. Was greeted at the hotel lobby by English speaking staff and checked in quickly. Room was not huge but comfortable and renovated - no floral bedsheets like in many Japanese hotels. All in all, a very pleasant stay.
Convenient and Cozy hotel”
Hotel Nikko is centrally located just opposite to the Kanazawa Station. Across the road at the Forus Shopping Mall, you can find a lot of choices for food and shopping. It is cost effective in comparison to other 5-star hotels nearby.
Very nice hotel with a good location!”
Very good hotel, close to the JR Kanazawa train station and walking distance to the Omi-Cho market and shopping! Hotel was clean, quiet and the staff were friendly. Being close to the station, one can hop on the Kanazawa loop bus that takes one to many of the attraction in and around the city, including Kenroku-en garden, which is a must see!
