I enjoyed my stay and enjoyed the "Sky Lounge"”

front desk service, convenience store, and restaurants

My stay at the Hotel Nikko Narita airport was comfortable. The price for a single room is pretty fair. There is a bus that goes to the hotel near the Narita Keisei train line. After arriving at the hotel; the check in went smoothly and the staff were friendly. The English skill of the man at the front desk was limited, but the fact he tried was a nice gesture. (I’m not sure about the English skills of the other staff, but I’m assuming they know some English since there seems to be a fair amount of foreigners that stay at Hotel Nikko Narita). The single room didn’t have a lot of space, but that’s because the bed was large. I’d take a large bed over space in a room anytime. The bathroom was wide, and there was plenty of space to maneuver in there. After sitting a bit and relaxing in my room, I went to the Chinese restaurant, which was good, but if you don't fancy Chinese food, there is the "Garden Restaurant" and the Sushi Restaurant. The Sky Lounge is nice, but pricey. It does have a nice evening view of Narita airport, and the setting and layout was always nice. There are buses to Narita airport leaving from the hotel. All in all, I had an enjoyable stay, and would recommend this hotel to everyone.

An outstanding facility...”

I have stayed at the Nikko at Narita three times in the past four months and I have never been disappointed. It is a ten-minute ride from Narita airport to the hotel by a comfortable tour bus. Although there is not much just outside the hotel grounds, there is a shuttle bus to Narita city which lets you off by the JR and Keisei train stations. Another bus will also take you to the Aeon shopping mall. The entire hotel is clean. Nothing dingy or worn in either the common area or the rooms. Beds and pillow are wonderfully comfortable and the bath towels fluffy. No closets...but a post with hangers is quite useable. I wish they provided more than four hangers though as I prefer to hang my shirts out for the stay. The staff is excellent and attentive, quite fluent in English, Chinese, and Korean. While I was checking in a large group of guests arrived by bus. The manager immediately opened three more positions at the front desk to accommodate them and co-ordinated the bell captain and bus driver in storing the bags out of the way. Staff in the restaurant and bar are equally service oriented. There is a Lawson's convenience store past the lobby, a coffee shop, and a restaurant that serves a good breakfast buffet. The dinner menu there isn't bad, but more suited to a Royal Host than the Nikko. One great place there is the Wi-Fi/computer area next to the restaurant. It overlooks a lovely and serene green space and the area itself is devoted to modern architecture. I often go there with a coffee to relanx and check my phone. All in, the Nikko is a great value for the money. Unfortunately for me, I will now use it as my standard of service in future hotels!

good transit hotel, clean, comfy bed, some vegetarian dining options”

We found Hotel Nikko Narita a good option for an overnight transit exit from Japan. After a hectic Tokyo week in a very basic apartment, the quiet, clean and good standard of amenities was almost heavenly. As described in many reviews the gardens are nice and the whole vibe was not over the top. We were pleased to find that Serena resort dining has a basic but adequate vegetarian menu of five mains to choose from (I recommend the vegetable pasta; we were also able to have a light breakfast in the coffee shop rather than the whole hotel buffet deal - we had croissant and coffee and the coffee was about the best we had in Japan. There is also a Lawsons on site and this wouldbe another good option for the non vegetarian budget conscious to pick up a bowl of noodles etc. The hourly free shuttle allowed us to fit in another temple visit in Narita and some last minute gift shopping. I also recommend joining the free One Harmony membership for the Hotel group as the discount on food and drink at the various venues in the hotel was quite generous at 20 percent ( you can join on arrival).

Clean, comfortable, easy”

Easy access to Narita airport (free shuttle), large size room compared to Tokyo hotels of similar price, friendly staff

Stay was short and easy. I had a flight coming into Narita late (~8pm) and was exhausted from a day of travel. Rather than try to get in to Tokyo and get to a hotel there, I decided to stay at the Hotel Nikko Narita and then leave for Tokyo the next morning. This worked very well. I had a great night of sleep, booked my next hotel in the morning via internet in my room (my own laptop), then had breakfast downstairs. The Japanese style breakfast for 1000 yen was good, and took about 10 minutes to prepare. Buffet cost twice as much, but I felt the fixed breakfast was sufficient. I then checked out and took the free shuttle back to Narita airport, where I then caught a train to Tokyo. Perfect!

Fantastic hotel!”

If you're staying overnight in transit for Narita airport OR if you don't mind the hour long trek to Tokyo, I totally recommend using this hotel as a base, as I did. There's not a lot within comfortable walking distance, (one ramen shop across the road!) but that's about all you can complain about. The rooms are absolutely great value sizewise etc. The staff are really pleasant and helpful. They have so many good services including frequent shuttle buses to both the airport and Narita station. You have a few nice restaurants on site as well as "el cheapo" Lawsons! I was "happy as Larry" staying at Nikko Narita Hotel". (still here at time of writing!)

Much Better Than I Expected!”

Note, this was my first ever international trip and Hotel Nikko Narita exceeded my expectations when we arrived. We stayed here due to early flight and was expecting a generic business hotel. What we experienced was a wonderful hotel with plenty of dining options and a 24-hour convenience store, spacious, well appointed, comfortable rooms, and a wonderful winter illumination in the outdoor spaces! The staff were all very helpful and spoke English. I had left behind a small bad in the overhead storage on the shuttle bus from the hotel to Narita airport. I called the hotel and notified the staff which bus I left my bad on. They retrieved my bag from the shuttle and returned it to me quickly. I would definitely stay here again.

I stayed at the Hotel Nikko Narita the night before flying home from Narita International Airport. I found the coach service to and from the Airport to be very convenient and reliable. Staff at the hotel were very pleasant and helpful, and the hotel was perfectly clean and very peaceful. My time at the hotel was indeed short, from late in the evening to early the nextmorning, and I did not get to try out any of the dining facilities. However my stay was comfortable and relaxing and I would be perfectly happy to stay there again in similar circumstances.

Proximity to Narita airport, & FREE Shuttle services!

The Hotel Nikko Narita is a wonderful hotel near the Narita airport. Reasonable rates, comfortable rooms with many ammenities and the hotel offers free shuttle not only from/to the airport but also to downtown Narita and a local shopping center. Lovely hotel and service with a smile”

best features of the hotel

It was very helpful that the hotel has a shuttle bus (and free) with regular schedules. So I and family can utilize it between Narita Airport, Tokyo to the Nikko Hotel. and back and ford using the shuttle bus for sightseeing at the Airport mall include a transportation to get a train at the airport. This feature make the Nikko Hotel valuable. The process of check in to the hotel with Agoda voucher was very quick and simple and also the check out process was very quick too. In the hotel offered a lot of facilities such as swimming pool, dairy store, restaurants, etc. and surround it there are restaurants and dairy store so we have a lot of choice to go. The room itself very comfortable for four of us in family that was supported by TV cable, Internet and drinks. So I and family are very happy for this arrangement by Agoda.

Good value for airport travel”

Free airport shuttle, helpful staff, comfortable room

I stayed here after landing at Narita International. The free shuttle comes every 20 minutes during peak hours (check the schedule on the hotel's website). For terminal 1 you go to Bus Stop #16 I believe (there's also a time table posted at the stop). The staff were very friendly, efficient, and most know some English. I asked them to receive a FedEx package for me, and they had it waiting for me when I arrived. The room was small by US standards, but had everything you might need. They provided shampoo, soap, a toothbrush, shoe shining supplies, an electric tea kettle and tea bags, even a green tea room freshener! The bed was comfortable and I slept well after my long flight. The hotel has several restaurants on the property, but I didn't eat there - they seemed on the expensive side. I did utilize the 24 hour Lawson's (convenience store) in the lobby. There is also a gift shop with Japanese-themed items. They have a gorgeous pool out back, but it seemed closed while I was there (May). I felt it was a great hotel for the money - I think I paid less than $60 for my room. The only possible downside is that there's nothing much in walking distance (except some other hotels). But there is bus service available to take you to the town of Narita and a few other places. Would definitely stay there again when flying in or out of Narita Airport.

Located close to narita airport”

We stayed in the Japanese Style Family Room for 1 night. The bidets were comfortable and provided a good night's rest. Noting the age of the property, the room was dusty and it became a problem as the hotel did not equip our room with a Air Purifier. Otherwise, the room was well maintained and did not display any other signs of its' age which is commendable for a old which is celebrating its 40th anniversary. In terms of service, the staff member behind the front desk was able to speak english well, and so did the others. As we checked in late at night, check-in was speedy. Finally, in terms of location, the hotel is very close to narita airport and a complimentary shuttle took us to Terminal 1 within 15mins. As our stay was short, we did not use any facilities in the hotel, but apparently the hotel pool which was outdoors only opens during the summer months of July till late august. Overall, I recommend Hotel Nikko Narita to travelers looking for a good airport hotel.
