Everything was perfect, if I were to return to San Sebastián I wouldn’t stay anywhere else.
Helpful staff. Location superb on Esplanade”
Only 15mins scenic walk along pedestrian esplanade for lunch &/or pm pintxos in the old town. Twin room with travelling friend was spacious & had a pretty design. Would definitely stsy here again.
well placed small hotel in san sebastian”
Small family run hotel well placed on waterfront in San Sebastian. Room was very small --no cat swinging here. Also tiny bathroom with squeezed in facitities-could not use either the toilet or bidet without one bum on one and foot in the other. Nevertheless, room was clean and comfortable and lounge was pleasant. But no on site parking. This was available in nearby underground lot at rate of 15€/day. Good people and promenade watching from bar/cafe area. Excellent breakfast (11€extra). Staff friendly and efficient. 10 minute stroll along sea front to shops --and 15 mins to old town and tapas fueled nightlife.
Newly renovated with hints of vintage”
The elevator can be difficult, it's an old style. I think if someone doesn't close the outer door it won't move. Breakfast is too expensive for 12EUR I felt I didn't get good quality food. The room was okay, wifi was a bit iffy sometimes (we were at the 6th flr)
Rotted staircases Inferior scary elevator
Location location ”
On the better side of a three star hotel, nice touches like complimentary bottled water were appreciated. Rooms were lovely and clean & seems to have recently had small facelift. Cannot beat the superb location right on La Concha. Skip the €12 breakfast- not the best we’ve had.
Great Location and Charming Hotel”
The hotel has an old charm to it, with vintage interior design at the lobby and an old-school lift. My room was a single room, which did not have any windows. But I loved that the room had air-conditiong, which was perfect given the summer weather. I was happy with the restaurant of the hotel as well, where I had coffee and food at some point during my stay. It's right in front of the beach and within walking distance to the attractions of San Sebastian, including the old part/town. The hotel was also able to call a taxi for me a few times with no problem. The only letdown was that I didn't get a greeting from the hotel, despite knowing that I spent my birthday there. Overall, I'd be happy to stay there again.
Our bed was very small, legs dangling off the end. The man on the front desk was needs to work on his customer interactions, not helpful and couldn't muster a smile. If it was half the price I would recommend it. Didn't get a seafront room, perhaps that makes the difference.
Good vacation spot”
We were a couple on vacation in San Sebastian for 3 days. Nice hotel, great location. But needs a bit updating and room a little small. Elevator very old and stairs need updating. It was the prime season so the rate was a little high. Would stay again.
What a view”
A wonderful view of the harbor is available from the older hotel. The elevator is small but still works. The location brought us back and will again.
Stunning location, in warm weather you will have to decide on air con v view! ”
We’ve stayed in several places in San Sebastián and this is up there with the best locations. Right on La Concha beach, 10mins from the Tapas in the old town. The parking was easy too - we booked a space in advance and the public but very secure underground car park was next door to the hotel - very easy to access. The view from our 6th floor room was the best we’ve ever had in SS. On a hot day the sun streams in... which as there is no air con in sea view rooms, means the rooms get very hot. (Even in April...). Windows gave us some cool breeze, but that might not be 5e case in summer. We had no real noise apart from the sea, but lower down people could hear party goers. For future reference, asked about air con and were told the street view rooms had it. WiFi was good downstairs, but we had no signal on the 6th floor. Nice bar with very reasonably priced tapas all with that lovely view. Breakfast was 11€ each and good. No safe in room, but safety deposit boxes in reception for free.
Nice location that could use a makeover”
Overall, a nice place to stay, with a helpful staff, decent breakfast, great location (by the water). The old elevator is a cute feature, though the carpeting on the floors need to be replaced. Our room was a decent size, clean, with hardwood floors, nice bathroom, small balcony with a great view of La Concha Beach. It's a 10-minute leisurely walk to Parte Vieja. I went running in the morning and the boardwalk was littered with walkers, runners and bikers, which was nice to know. San Sebastian, is one of the nicer towns to run in.
Charming small hotel just by the beach. Nice clean decor. Beds comfortable. Nice air conditioning. Good restaurant. Wifi was quite slow, so good hotel for holiday makers but not for business.
Perfect view, elegant ”
Very good in winter time. Fair in summer. Nice building
Spacious and comfortable ”
We only had 1 night in Donostia-San Sebastian, and the Hotel Niza was very comfortable. With plenty of room and a space inside the entrance door for our luggage, we were able to relax when we arrived late in the evening, and the staff helpfully allowed us to store our large luggage the next day befire we departed on an afternoon train. The Niza is located beside the beach (Concha) and a 10 minute walk from the main railway stations, so it is a great location.
Could ask for nothing more”
This Hotel is in a great position, staff are wonderful, and room was very clean and cosy. A special thank you to the lady on reception who was a great assistance at recovering my husband's bag left in the taxi. Thank you Hotel Niza.
Love this hotel to bits”
Booked the twin sharing room with sea view, opened up the balcony and there it is La Concha beach in its full glory. It is a beautiful hotel perched along the stretch of La Concha beach easy to walk to the old town on the right and furnicular on the left. The staff was very friendly, allowed us an early room check in, and the cafe downstairs was excellent..some of the best anchovies I have ever eaten. You will not regret staying at this wonderful place where the beach is right at the door step with the quaint 19 century lift that gives it such an old time charm. It was also easy to get a taxi at the front of the hotel to bring you to michelin star restaurants.
Great stay at Hotel Niza”
We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Niza because the location was right on the beach near restaurants, bars and cafés so we could go for a stroll along the promenade and people watch at the bar and café. It was also 10 mins walk to the old medieval part of San Sebastian where there were lots of restaurants and bars. The view is spectacular and the noise of the waves rolling in most relaxing. While the room is simple, it was perfect for our chill out stay. We would definitely go there again.
love Hotel Niza”
We loved hotel niza & San Sebastian. Perfect location, great view, helpful staff, clean. Nothing not to like. Only regret is we couldn't try the restaurant as it was booked out for a foodies weekend but the bar was also very good.
