it was not as estimated as city very old and not clean we enjoyed seafood in a rest on old port there is something hisorically important in genoa

Excellent location ”
We booked into this hotel as the starting point to visit cinque Terre and Genoa. The hotel is located close to the highways and is therefore excellent for those who are traveling by car. It offers the facilities of a garage at a cost. The breakfast is normal but from 8 am onwards it gets really disorganized with items finishing and taking a while to being replenished. Moreover the staff there could so with some additional help since they can barely catch up with the consequence of queues forming outside the dining area. One evening we had dinner at the hotel -a buffet of 23 eurper person. There was one type of pasta and one type of meat and some salad items and one type of fruit. Overall it was not bad. The hotel is about 1.5 km from the nearest metro station and the metro runs between 7am to 9pm. The surrounding area is really nothing to write home about. Overall apart from the location of the hotel, there is not much which would convince me to go back there.

the hotel is very nice and confortable.very good staff but the hotel is far awy from the city center and you have to take a taxi or a bus to reach the center.

Large room with great view”
Getting to the hotel on foot may be confusing with the terrain. The hotel was generally good, though. The staff were nice and helpful. Our room was very spacious and there was a large window to highlight the view. The in-room wifi worked really well. It isn't in central Genova or near the interstate train station.

Novotel Genova”
Bit out of the city but walking distance from the Darsena metro station. Can take the 18 bus but it is completely walkable if you are willing to attack the hill. We walked from the old port area in about 45 minutes. The first night we had a standard room but the second night we took the superior room. That being said, if there is a huge price discrepancy or you are on a budget, then the standard room is perfectly fine.

reasonable accomodation in Genoa”
we had a good and trouble free stay in Novatel Genova even though the location is a bit far from the Centre. However, it is dated with minimum supply of bathroom and tea/coffee materials. Most disappointing was the paper thin plastic cups available only in the room.

Good value for money - rom a little bit run down”
Room was just okay, but my friend had to sleep on a cot, even we booked a twin room. The bathroom was not really modern and a little bit smelly. Breakfast buffet was good with plenty of choices. Parking at the hotel was a little bit pricey. Walk from the hotel to the city takes some times (appr. 30 minutes if you walk fast).

Great for one night”
we were met by friendly staff. who were very helpful with maps and bus details. room was adequate but air con was dreadful and was useless. the hotel rooms are quite basic for a four star. the internet was good. the hotel was on a good bus route so was easy to get into town. i would stay again.

Wrong side of town”
If you are sightseeing this is not the hotel for you as it is on the other side of Genoa. We expected a bit more being a Novotel, meal was acceptable after a day of travelling but wouldn’t go out of my way to eat there.

Family Friendly hotel and Good Service”
We had a pleasant stay here and its well catered for families. The rooms are nice and spacious and the staff were excellent. A short drive to the restaurants and aquarium.

Really out of the way.”
There weren't any good restaurants within walking distance of the hotel so we ended up eating in the hotel restaurant. The dinner was awful and overpriced and the breakfast buffet was just okay.

Worst hotel we have stayed in”
Worst night sleep we have had in any hotel 😣 We paid for a superior room and I couldn't see the difference to a standard room. Sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable you could feel the springs. Pillows were probably half the size of a standard pillow and. Very lumpy. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
