Comfortable, clean, & afforadable”
At the beginning of Oct, my family and I, including our 10 year old, stayed at Hotel Orchid for 2 nights after a very tiring 5 day trekking trip. We had actually stayed at a different hotel before our trek and in hindsight, wished we had stayed at the Hotel Orchid instead. The family room was well-priced with comfortable beds and the bathroom had a bathtub which is nice for kids. Staff were friendly and helpful and the manager even arranged a ride to the airport. The hotel is on the south end of the town which is quieter, just a short walk to the main road where most of the shops and restaurants are and close to the lake. Some may want to be a little more centrally located but Pokhara is small and there are still plenty of good restaurants nearby. Thanks Hotel Orchid!
Highly recommended”
Clean rooms and great location, walking distance to my favorite Phewa Lake. Beautiful garden with lots of flowers. They also have restaurant where we tried chicken momo, so yummy. They also arrange tours and activities like paragliding. You can see the mountains from the rooftop. Most important is the great service they provide, from reception to the restaurant. Such nice and kind staffs. Special thanks to Bijay who became my friend even after I left Nepal. I plan to go back to Pokhara and will definitely book this hotel again.
Best hotel in Pokhara!”
This was my second time staying at Hotel Orchid and was just as great as the first time! I especially appreciate the staffs professionalism and great customer service. They are very friendly and helpful with booking bus tickets. The corner rooms all have fantastic views of the mountains and country-side, very clean, bed comfortable, good clean shower! Loved having coffee every morning on the private terrace, the flat-screen TV and my own kettle. I have stayed at 3 other hotels in Pokhara and bar none, this is the best of all. I will be returning to Pokhara again and will only stay at Hotel Orchid in the future. You won't regret booking your stay there!
Lovely Stay!”
I love staying in Hotel Orchid. The location is great; walking distance to Phewa Lake but stays in a quiet area. The hotel's staffs were very helpful. There was a glitch with the paragliding service that I booked with them but it was totally not the hotel's fault yet the hotel's staffs were the one saying sorry to me. I really appreciate that. On another note, if you want to book paragliding with the hotel and they give you Golden Heaven as the tour operator, say NO and book with other tour instead. :D I got corner room with two big windows overlooking Annapurna Range. Great view to have every morning. :D Hot water run well and the room was clean and spacious with a balcony. Very satisfied. Twas a lovely stay. :)
Wonderful for Trekkers”
My stay at Hotel Orchid was more than pleasant! I didn't expect that much from a budget hotel! We arranged free airport pick up but our flight delayed so the car was gone, and then we took taxi to the hotel. The guy at the reception was so sorry about that and paid us back the taxi fare! The fare was not expensive at all just 300 rs but I'm impressed. The staff arranged everything we need for trekking to poon hill the next day! So we could juz sit back and relax in our room b4 trekking. It turned out that the porter they arranged to us is a Guide! His name is Iman and he speaks good English, we had no communication problem and had 4-day extremely enjoyable trekking! We wanna go back to Hotel Orchid after trekking but sadly I already paid for Mount Kailash b4 leaving home. The facilities of Hotel Orchid may not be as grand as Mount Kailash, but the staff there is unbeatable! I would return to Hotel Orchid if I visit Pokhara again!
LOCATION + SERVICE = VALUE FOR MONEY”
When in Pokhara, look no further, this hotel offers great value. The rooms, staffs, service, is great. Minutes walk to town area, sight-seeing, dining & shopping. The hotel manager DINESH is always there to ensure the comfort of guests, their needs and always ready to help. The fine team who works in the kitchen as well as doing reception work, I would recommend this hotel to anyone who plans to visit Pokhara. THANK YOU HOTEL ORCHID for such a memorable stay.
Great Service”
Great stay. Service from check in, in the restaurant, and during all contact with employees was great. Everyone said hi and greeted with a smile. The view from rom 502, which had windows on two sides, was good with some partial views of the mountains from time to time even during monsoon season. The wi-fi, was pretty good. I even watched some netfilx. The location of Hotel Orchid was very close to the Am/PM Organic Coffee shop where I would go every morning to get my fresh morning mug of delicious Americano coffee which was quite good along with a banana/mango lassi; one of the best I've had in Nepal since it has the consistency of a smoothie. It was also close the Glacier Hotel and Spa which has the best, outstanding international cuisine in Pokhara I believe. The stay includes a decent free breakfast; either American with eggs, toast, potatoes, and coffee/tea. Try the Indian breakfast of deep fried flat bread along with a kind of curry and Masala Tea which became my favorite every morning. If I ever return to Pokhara, I will definitely stay here again. Great value, location, and especially great service!
Great hotel ”
This hotel have beautiful garden, clean room ,good breakfast, and friendly stuff. It just spend 5 minutes to walk to Fewa Lake, and all stuff happy to help you. Especially thanks for the hotel manager, Mr Dinesh Karki. I got some trouble in this trip, he helped me to solve it. Even after I left Pokhara, he still give his head to me again and again. Really grateful for him, without him, I can't have a good vacation in Nepal. It's the best choice in Pokhara.
Pleasant and comfortable”
We really enjoyed our 3-night stay here, and I will definitely stay there again when I return to Pokhara. The room was very comfortable, and the AC and fan worked well (a major plus, since we were there in August!) The bathroom was clean, with consistent access to hot and cold water. We arranged several rides through the hotel front desk to various tourist attractions like Sarangkot and Devi's Fall - the rides were reasonably priced, and the staff were very helpful. The hotel is located a few minutes' walk from the main drag in Pokhara, near Caffe Concerto. Nice quiet location.
Mountain view from the bedroom”
We stayed at the Orchid in Pokhara on our Honeymoon and although we booked a deluxe room, they upgraded us for free to their honeymoon room, which is the best room in the hotel. The room at Orchid is a decent size and fairly new built. It has a balcony where you can sit and enjoy the mountain view. It features a/c and a ceiling fan, cable tv, a bathroom and the view...oh the view...worth getting this room so that you can wake up at 6am (which is probable due to the dogs and cockerels around the hotel) and look straight out of the window at the Annapurna mountains. There is no lift in the hotel and it has six floors, so if stairs aint your thing then give it a miss (although there are always a gang of young men ready to help carry bags upstairs) and the wifi doesn't work very well in the room, but these are minor trifles when you look at the view. The staff were great, the room was nice, the location has a great view, but is about 10-15 mins from the centre of the Pokhara lakeside strip so it is quiet at night. Hopefully the hotel can work on its breakfast as our breakfast put us off eating in the hotel again, even risking a soaking in the rain to go out at night and eat elsewhere.
Nice and Friendly :) ”
We stayed here for 2 nights. The Hotel Orchid has a good service for arranging everything for us such as a good guide and porter for our trek in Annapurna circuit for 8 days. They also have pick up service at the Pokhara airport. The room is warm and comfortable.
Lovely night in Pokhara”
I found the Hotel Orchid a wonderful place to stay in Pokhara. Being really close to the lake and many shops, the location is excellent.
Clean, comfortable and great location”
We had a great stay at the Orchid, which has only been open 2 years. Rooms were very comfortable and there was lashings of hot water (unusual for Nepal!)Staff were pleasant and helpful and went to a great deal of trouble to recover our 'lost' sleeping bags for us by tracking down the taxi driver who delivered us to the hotel. Breakfast was adequate, but there is a great choice of restaurants just a few minutes walk away. We actually extended our stay by three days and were offered a very favourable rate. Great place to stay.
Very best hotel to be 😊”
I don't usually write reviews for hotels, because they tend to be unremarkable places in a lot of ways. Hotel orchid is located in beautiful place, clean and lovely. The staff was kind. The amenities to the point. My stay was simple and lovely. Free WiFi. An endlessly kind and helpful staff. I will be making this a regular place to stay when I'm in the city. No question. Thankyou Mr Janak Karki jee
Value for money lodging”
We enjoyed our stay in Orchid Hotel and Pokhara. The view from some of the rooms was very good when the weather is good. We can walk to shops and restaurants easily, without depending on taxi. The best point for this hotel is its staffs.
Warm Hotel in a Peaceful Location”
I had a wonderful 4 nights stay in Hotel Orchid. I stayed at Room 603, which was on the top floor, and the room faces the mountains. Although there was no lift, the hotel staff helped me carry my Backpack up. As I wanted a stress-free time, I arranged at the Hotel Travel desk for a Private car to sightsee. It was supposed to be done all in 1 day, but in the end, the sights were spread out over 3 days - I saw Sarangkot sunrise on Day 1, did the Valley sightseeing on Day 2, and due to bad weather, went to Peace Pagoda on Day 3 to see the sunset. The staff Dinesh, was most accomodating to my request to make these changes, and I am very happy with their service.
High living standard hotel with mountain view .”
I had stayed at hotel orchid many times. This is the best hotel i stayed in Nepal. The room was very bright with mountain view & balcony.Lots of hot shower available round o clock. The breafast out side at the garden was nice.we left our 2 big bags at their luggage store during our trek which was very good.Highly recommended hotel orchid.
sunny room with million dollers view”
Very nice sunshine room with view of the Himalayas and Annapurna range including balcony. Staff was friendly and caring. Breakfast buffets were more than adequate. Handy location on quiet street. I actually visited 5 or 6 other hotels in the area and determined that I had the best value hotel.very good place for relax after the trek. The best sunrise & mountain view from the roof top.I also recommend this hotel for them who can,t trek to annapurna,i had the similar view from poonhill & hotel orchid rooftop.I had very good sunbath on the roof terece.I will visit again.
Great visit with our family”
We liked Hotel Orchid very much. It was cozy, nice and very close to main street even though it was in a more quiet and peaceful area. Rooms were spacious enough and clean, and beds were comfortable. Nice little garden also made hotel easy to stay with kids. Greatest part of all was the staff, which was very, very helpful and friendly and helped us to adapt to foreign culture. They really made us feel welcome. We would recommend hotel to any family traveling with little kids.
Trekking in Pokhara.”
I enjoyed Hotel Orchid, and hope to see it on agoda.com in the future. I will definitely recommend it to any friends visiting Pokhara.
