Pefect Honeymoon Spot!”
We stayed at the Manfredi for three nights over our honeymoon. I would be more than happy to recommend this hotel. It ticked all the boxes for us – 1) we found the staff friendly and helpful 2) the room was clean and comfortable 3) and there is something to be said about having breakfast every morning overlooking the Colosseum. Location wise, it is not in the middle of city but the hotel is happy to arrange cabs; or the walk is only 20-30 mins. The bar downstairs is fantastic for a nightcap (also overlooking the Colosseum) after a long day in beautiful Rome.
We were really impressed with Hotel Palazzo Manfredi. The staff were fabulous and although our loft apartment was away from the main hotel, they made it really convenient and easy for us! They transferred our bags and even sent the porter to greet our taxi and help with luggage to ensure our departure was smooth. The restaurant and breakfast experience was second to none! So beautiful!!!
Beautiful Hotel & Great Service”
I travel extensively & have to say I have a preference for Relais Chateau properties. This hotel is very well positioned & one of the best locations in Rome. The apartments are beautifully decorated & spacious & we stayed in the Marcus Aurelius suite. The real differences of this hotel is the staff, Christine at the front desk was incredible in how she accommodated every need with a smile. She helped from our awkward arrival from the airport with a taxi driver who would only take cash at 11pm (we had not had the chance to exchange), to booking great restaurants & priority tours to the best attractions. I have visited Rome before & it is a city where you really benefit from expert suggestions. We also met the general manager Bruno who made clear that nothing short of perfection was acceptable & Christine & him get pretty close to this goal. Our one mistake was that we did not stay longer - Thank You Christine & Bruno.
Beautiful hotel with the most incredibly polite and helpful management and staff we've ever encountered. We stayed in their Marco Aurelio apartment and it was perfect. When my husband's crutch broke, they took care of it right away, while we had breakfast! They sent someone to a pharmacy to try to find the missing part, and when it was unavailable, they had someone repair it at the hotel. Breakfast at the fantastic restaurant 'Aroma' overlooking the Colosseum was icing on the cake! Highly recommend for the excellent general manager and his whole friendly, helpful staff!
worst sleep ever. ”
This is a charming , beautiful boutique hotel with an amazing restaurant and wonderful staff. It would be the perfect spot to have a cocktail , lunch or dinner and take a few photos of their amazing view of the colosseum in Rome . The room they chose for us was on the 1st floor. Room 20 . It was right above the hotel entrance facing a busy , noisy street that had traffic noise , sirens and trains that literally shook the room as they passed by . While the bed and linens were very comfortable the noise made it impossible to sleep. Also rIght beside room 20 is the maids supply room that is frequently in use as the maids are very busy and efficient including turn down service at night. In addition to the street noise , maids noise the other guests were noisy and we could also hear noise from a lovely little outdoor patio bar on the main floor . Luckily , we only stayed one night as we were going back to LA the next day after 3 weeks in Italy. Great hotel if you don’t need sleep
Great location- right by the Colosseum and a Metro stop. The lofts we stayed in were around the corner from the main hotel. We got a discounted deal or else we couldn't have afforded the list price. I'd stay here again just for the location.
Best view hotel in Rome”
The hotel with best view facing Colosseum. We can see colosseum from both our bedroom and bathroom. You can also enjoying breakfast on the terrace with a the whole scenery of colosseum. Great experience of stay.
The best view of Colosseo”
When you are in Rome, Stay as we did with this hotel. Check in and go for a walk of Colosseo and take a nice romantic dinner at the top floor of hotel with night view. it's unforgetable
Fantstic hotel everything we hoped for”
The hotel was just great in every aspect. MOst amazing was the view of colloseum from our bed. As first time travellers to Rome, this was the best choise we made and would stringly reccommend.
Could not be any closer”
Stayed at the Loft at the end of August for a birthday treat. As we had taken the children with us we opted for the loft with a sofa bed. Great space with a small kitchenette which was great for making breakfast. It is a 5 minute walk from the hotel itself and situated in a very nice block of apartments. Added bonus is the gelateria on the corner - absolutely lovely ice cream!! The only negative was that the airconditioning in the main part of the loft wasn't very efficient, it really just circulated the warm air. Staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful, although for the £30pp for a buffet breakfast I would expect the service to be better. We had to ask repeatedly for top ups on our drinks.
Great view of the Colosseum at breakfast and only a few minutes walk from the Forum and close to one of only two train lines in Rome. The staff are professional and attentive and the
Amazing views at breakfast”
The receptionist was amazing at our greeting and overview. She answered all our questions and even called us a cab the next day to the airport. The view at the restaurant is one of a kind. It was a drag though that we were so far away from the facility as we made this reservation to be across from the Colosseum but we were several blocks away. The apt was nice but in a residential building.
Boutique hôtel with the best view”
great hotel at a quiet area, yet it is very close to the train and bus stations which can take you to all the major attractions. the hotel room has a great view of the colosseo and the breakfast were great. will definitely return.
In the apartment, not the hotel chain”
Strange to be in a rather large apartment a few streets from the hotel. It was on the ground floor so could hear the lift and the children next door in the evening and the vacuum cleaner upstairs and such like. It was a big apartment with a large living cum dinning area, a small kitchenet, a big shower area with two overhead showers and a washing machine. The air con was noisy and the refuse bins outside the window. The place was expensive, but for a family it might be good value. In conclusion it was expensive, but Rome, I am informed is one of the most expensive European cities for hotel, I suppose. The location was good in that there was a taxi stand close by as well as lots of buses and the Colosseo metro station. I am not sure if I would go there again. I may try another part of town next time.
Excellent staff, great hotel, great location”
We loved our stay here. Staff couldn’t have done more for us, location was fantastic, food was delicious. We loved Rome too and the Italian people.
The best of Rome”
Fantastic location and lovely hotel. The staff were brilliant and even tracked us down at the train station to return something we left in the room. Delightful stay.
Best hotel I’ve stayed in”
Couldn’t be happier with my time here. The staff were amazing and went above and beyond in everyway. Not only would I say this is a must do hotel but one you will wish you stayed at for longer.
Great location and stunning breakfast view over Colosseo ”
Got a good deal to stay at the apartment which is 5-8 mins walk from the main building, quite spacey room could stay up to 4, though we only have 2 people. Access to the stunning view breakfast is an attraction.
Great location but small rooms”
Not all personnel is as professional as expected. No service is included (although advertised differently from trip advisor), rooms are too small. Shower floor is slippery. Atmosphere is generally pretentious. The Director is professional and tries his best to compensate the falls of the residence.
What a hoax!”
For our last night in Italy, we found a discounted room at Hotel Manfredi, and had hopes of capping our trip with a wonderful stay at a gorgeous hotel with an outstanding view. Upon arrival, we were told that our room was not on property, but in an apartment a few blocks away. The person helping us let on that many people booking this discounted room, were also misled into thinking it was onsite when it was not. You could tell that he had this conversation with many other disappointed people, and that he himself thought the Hotel should be more transparent about what people were booking when they booked this deal. What was supposed to be an amazing last night at an upscale establishment ended up being an AirBnb type experience in which we found ourselves renting out someone's apartment. Hotel Palazzo Manfredi should be ashamed to mislead customers in this way.
