Decent hotel. Heater doesn't work”

They were nice to allow us to check in early in the morning since we have put our request through agoda during booking. It's a distance from Gare Du Nord station. About 25 mins walk away through small lanes and if you're not familliar, you will need to ask around for the street name. Rooms and bathroom was small as expected. But it's clean since they just renovated since a few months ago but when we arrived in October 2012, they were still renovating the lobby area. Nothing fantastic about this hotel. What you see in the picture during booking is just the bed and leaving very little space after that. Those lights above the bed are the main lights for the room except for a table light on the table. Wifi internet connection was fine but needed to sign in from a website. If you have other devices that can't do explorer then you can't connect (ie: VoIP phone). The lift is really small and old which fits only 2 person and I doubt you can bring in middle size luggage. Though we stayed on the 2nd floor, we were worried about getting stuck in the lift so we rather walk up. Also heater in the room doesn't work and thank god we're there during autumn. When we complained to the staff, he merely says management has no plans to fix it. So don't stay here during winter.

Very Cool Hotel in a Young Area ”

This hotel has a good price and is really pleasing to the eye. The style is on display here, the front of the building is very cool and the whole interior design is quite modern and sleek. ROOM: Way smaller than we imagined, we had to stuff our bags under the bed to have room to move around. There are not enough lights in the room, you end up having to keep the bathroom door open to let enough light into the room so that you can see what your doing. Despite the room being dim and small, it was good enough for us, no problem at all. STAFF: The checkin staff were friendly enough, the guy at night was quite cool and gave us a great recommendation to a local restaurant. He was admittedly on his first day of work, so he really had no clue what was going on. But he was trying hard and seemed friendly enough. The dude at checkout kinda blew it majorly with our Airport Shuttle Reservation. The shuttle came and it was unfortunately booked to go to the wrong airport. So we had to book another shuttle, which was 30 minutes late. The guy at the front desk could only say "It's not my fault" and "I think the shuttle should be here in 5 minutes." He was completely unhelpful, though it did appear that he was trying. I just don't think he understands that when you want to get to the airport, you have no time for muffing around. We got to our gate exactly 5 minutes before it closed. Because of that dude we had to run through the airport, we were completely stressed. It was an aweful way to checkout of Paris. OVERALL: Good hotel in a great area. Good price and clean.

2 star price for a 3 star quality”

room is so perfect that the value is great for low price (in Europe). there is bathtub in the room, spacious bathroom, small table for sufficient for work with good wifi. bed is 4 star! comfort sleep. TV is flat screen. the closet is not available but there is place for putting clothes. the neighborhood has a bar that got perfectly good business at night! .... which also brings some loud noise from time to time, but they are enchanting. walking to metro is okay, not too far, but not too near. shopping and food are easily accessible. two major metro station (to airport and major hubs) are close to the hotel.

Sweet staff, accommodating management!”

Accidentally booked a month ahead of date we showed up. Town was filled up due to two gigantic worldwide events (fashion week!). Many hotels would take advantage of such a situation to make double money, but instead they gave us the only room they had saved allowing us to use credit for the accidental booking. Room was beautiful, view was beautiful, and the staff was amazing. Great little hotel.

Great. Definately recommend! close to Paris Velib station, nice cafes and bars around but not loud. Ceiling might be a little low for a person over 6 ft.

We were extremely happy with our stay, the service was exceptional, the beds was very comfy and the facilities more than adequate. All the staff we spoke with were helpful, friendly and very professional. A most comfortable stay!

Interesting experience”

The hotel was under renovation - the reception area was like a building site. The lift is tiny - we just squeezed two people and two cases in. Very small bathroom and insufficient lighting in room. No tea or coffee making facilities.

Ventilation in the bathroom is super loud during night. Bathroom door was broken... I was locked in the bathroom for 15 minutes, without light while I was waiting for someone to open the door...

Awful stay--left after the first night”

Like all of the other reviews I've seen, the room is indeed small. But that was the least of it. We were ankle-deep in dirty water when showering because the drains did not work, the bathroom reeked, we could hear everything that went on in what felt like every room in the building, and the hotel is situated behind in a seedy part of town. The rude hotel employee told us that the wifi was down when in fact the wifi simply did not reach all the way up in our 2nd floor room. We could not stand another night there--

Although it’s quite normal to find mice in Paris but that was my experience on the first day at the breakfast place plus the bathroom shower size wasn’t sensible at all I know Paris tends to be small but that shower I couldn’t even move my elbow … keep in mind I’m 173 cm 75 kg!

Lo unico que mejoraría es la luz y enchufes de la habitación, solo hay dos lamparitas pequeñas una en cada lado de la cama y dos enchufes en toda la habitación. Se queda corto para poder arreglarse en condiciones. El resto está muy bien en cuanto a relación calidad precio y ubicación y el personal es muy agradable

Je voyage pas mal à Paris, et c'est parfois la "roulette russe" au niveau de la propreté et qualité des hotels, et les "etoiles" sont loin de décrire ce qui nous attend. Donc quand on trouve un hotel qui est bien, on y revient. Vraiment accueil top, et on sent que on se soucie du client. Bravo et continuez comme cela !

Super séjour”

Très bon séjour à l'hôtel Paradis. Le personnel est très aimable. Le petit déjeuner est varié. Il y a plusieurs lignes de métro à proximité. On y retournera :-)

premier accueil le 17/11 mitigé, économie d'amabilité mieux le jour du départ le 18 personnel pas à la hauteur d'un *** étoiles (employées se plaignant au réceptionniste devant les clients) ... papier peint charmant pour ceux qui aiment les cigognes ou hérons !!! couloir des chambres refait à neuf éclairage automatique par contre : ascenseur à revoir car la porte s'ouvre sur au rez de chaussée sur un petit espace à partir duquel on doit repousser une porte pour sortir ...

situé dans un quartier trè populaire où les poubelles trainent sur le trottoir, cet hôtel néanmoins dépayse. très jolie déco originale, papiers peints de luxe. jolie chambre, mais hôtel bruyant : aucune insonorisation. personnel attentioné et serviable
