really nice”
The hotel is located right in front of the metro station in opera. Location is great. Its within walking distance from the galeries lafayette and opera. There are lots of cafes, restaurants and bars beside the hotel. The rooms were cozy though small. Rooms are really clean with all the basic necessities- ref, TV, shower, safety deposit box and hair dryer. Reception was very friendly and helpful. Free wifi in the reception. All in all i had a great stay here and will definitely go back.
Extremely Convenient Hotel”
this is the second time we are staying at this hotel. the wi-fi of the hotel was not working at the time we stayed there. trust me, this is the only cons. the staff at the hotel was extremely friendly. we love the location! just 10 mins walk to lafayette (the big shopping mall in paris). there are lots of restaurant and fast food around the hotel. would surely stay in this hotel again, if i have the chance to go paris again!
fantastic location!!! ”
I have been to Paris several times and always stays in Tryp Francois. The location is too good. The subway is just 10 steps (literally) away from the hotel and you know getting around in Paris is all about the "Metro" and "RER". Room itself is pretty simple and acceptable. Breakfast was great esp if you sign up for their hotel reward card, you pay only 1 for 2.
Hotel in a lively area”
our first trip to paris! we really wanted a hotel within walking distance to a subway station, so that we can easily go from place to place. tryp francois was certainly the best hotel to fit our needs. the rooms were perfect for a couple. toilet and bath were with the usual amenities, hot water, shampoo, dryer, etc. internet/wifi was free in the lobby area only. which was still pretty good. speed was decent. we were greeted by ms. victoria and it was smooth and fast. **at night, the surrounding area of the hotel becomes alive with the busy bars**
Great location and nice service”
Good location to vist the City of Paris, with a metro station right at the front door. The surrounding area has lots of bars and restaurants. We could walk to the Louvre/Champs de Elysee and Sacre Coeur so it was really in the middle of everything.
Location is the best!!”
Pros - Great location, a metro stop in front of the hotel, altho because metro line 4 is being renovated, you will travel longer going here. Lots of restaurants outside, a shopping district a few hundred meters away. Staff really helpful. Cons - The hotel has airconditioning but they should post or inform customers on their ads that they don't open the A/C if the weather is cold outside. It was really warm inside the room, we opened the window instead but it was noisy outside. Other than the small elevator which can fit 2 people with luggages at best. There is nothing I can say more about the hotel. Will definitely go back when I visit Paris again.
Great Location!”
The hotel was in a great location, but the rooms weren't soundproof at all, so I could hear even people whispering in the corridor. I have stayed in other hotels in Paris with the same standard but paid much less. It might be because I waited to the last minute to book a hotel, but it was still a bit expensive. I would still recommend this hotel to others for its central location and its friendly staff.
Nice facilities, nice staff and excellent location”
Initially we felt disappointed with the initially assigned (#307) since it was too small and unpleasant window view (internal area). The staff was very nice and promptly moved us to another excellent room the day after (#512). After that everything run smooth and we had no problems of any kind. Our booking didn't include breakfast, but after we applied for free for the MAS card they offer on the reception, we got a discount of 50% and the final cost per person was EUR 10 - which was not bad given the good quality. The whole environment is very cozy and it's a couple blocks and at a walkable distance from Opera. You don't need to connect to any Metro station in case you get the RoissyBus from/to Charles De Gaulle airport. After a 10mins walk you're there!
Hotel with great location and service!”
we really love our stay here in tryp paris. the hotel is clean and the staff are helpful. the location for the hotel is great! just exit from exit 3 frm grands boluevards station and the hotel is just next to the stairs! very convenient location, near macs and supermarket where u can settle you meals and groceries shopping. will defintely stay here again.
Very nice hotel, service is very good.”
Hotel is located in a very nice area, with a huge number of restaurants; expensive ones and cheap ones. To Louvre you can walk, but also you have the Metro station just in fron of the door, so it is easy to go everywhere in just some minutes. at the reception is very polite and is helping in booking events and restaurants.
Good service and Great Location ”
I had staying 4 nights in this hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They can speak well English too. The location is great as few steps to reach Metro station. The hotel surrounded by different restaurants, cafe, pubs, etc. The room is clean and comfort but small room. The lift in hotel is tiny, only can fit one people and one big luggage.
hotel with good location”
we stayed at TRYP for 3 nights. its location is good, near paris metro station. the room size is ok, not too small for a couple to stay in a standard double room. their staff is friendly as well. However, the room internals look a bit old. aircon is running a bit noise...and we didn't find a heater(used for boiling water) in the room, there might be one but we simply didnt find it.
The perfect 3* hotel!”
this hotel is what every 3* hotel should be! we had to upgrade to a bigger room as we were traveling with a 10 month old and i had booked a standard double. the reception staff said that this is not possible, as the standard doubles are too small for this, so we upgraded for euros per night and it was well worth it. really nice, open room for our daughter to crawl around and explore!
Practical location, nice rooms”
We are very satisfied. Nice weather in Paris, nice shopping.., but the prices are not cheap in Paris..
Great location very worthwhile.”
Very convenient location, the metro in front of the hotel door. Lovely rooms comfortable and clean bathrooms. Around the hotel is filled with cafes, easy to find something to eat and has many shops as well. Great!
Fabulous room with a view! ”
Loved the room on the 4 th floor overlooking the street below. Although it does gets noisy but once you close the doors to the balcony it was ok. Location was wonderful as loads of restaurants around and beside the hotel with the metro right at the doorstep.
Great location, beautiful rooms, great value hotel”
We were upgraded for free to deluxe rooms. Rooms were spacious and well equipped. Hotel is next to metro station and within walking distance of many landmarks. We were very pleased with our stay. Free Wifi.
The most convenient for traveling.”
It's a great location hotel,Grand Boulevard metro station is just infront of the hotel, surround with good restaurants and a cafe for breakfast is just opposite where they serve very nice baguette.
Value for $$$”
Met our expectations of a mid-priced hotel. Room is small where we barely have space to open up 2 luggage bags but else is sufficiently equipped. We stayed at room 416 which is not facing the main road, hence it is not noisy at all at night. If you want a street view, be prepared to hear noise from the traffic and pubs nearby. Pictures of the websites are also misleading as the room has no kettle. Although you can ask for a small flask from the bar counter, we found that the kettle is rusty inside so we used hot tap water instead. Lifts are small too but we are just glad there are two. Location is great where Printemps and Lafayette are further down the same road. There is a Metro exit just outside the hotel entrance.
Close to shopping area and metro station”
It is just right above the metro station. You can even walk to the shopping malls which is just 15-20 min walk. The room is big and nice. It has hair-dryer and Dove as body wash. But it doesn't provide shampoo. The internet was not free of charge and it was very slow. The bed is comfortable with LCD TV. The staff was nice and helpful. There are many restaurants nearby and also a supermarket. But it was be a bit noisy at night.
