The location is good, but I don't recommend anything else”
I stayed for 3 days, but neither cleaning the room and changing towels was done. The internet was sometimes interrupted and the connection was not good. Especially, it was not suitable for video calls. The location is close to East Station, making it convenient to go anywhere.

Highly recommended for economy-minded travellers”
stayed 3 nights in early december 2012. rooms are clean and cleaned daily. bathroom cum toilet is very clean and looks as though it has been recently refurbished. the hot water comes quickly. room is heated. 15 mins walk to gare du nord station and 5 mins to gare de l'est station so it is easy to get to the tourist sites with a map of the paris metro/rail system. there is a supermarket nearby to the right(also sells halal chicken) and also a fresh-produce market a few doors away to the left on the same street. food and transport is no problem. hotel rates are ok for paris (around 90 euros daily). so what more do you want. we had front rooms. other reviewers say that the front rooms near the street can be noisy at night but we never had any noise problem throughout our stay there. highly recommended.

Convenient location with geat, friendly service.”
almost equidistant to both gare du nord and gare de l'est stations and a short stroll to sacre coeur and montmatre, location was extremely convenient especially when travelling on the eurostar. building was neat, clean and presentable with lift access a plus. staff were friendly and helpful with queries. room was clean and spacious as was the bathroom. endless hot water and a great showerhead. breakfast was simp.e, but good quality french fare of muesli, yoghurt, croissants, french bread sticks, cheese and fruit with decent juices and coffees.

Good location,good sized rooms.”
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel.Rooms are kept clean and are of a good size. The front desk was helpful and obliging with any of our requests.Hotel is close to Gare du Nord station and we had a 5 day subway pass so very quick to get to all of the top sites in Paris.Paris has changed a lot over the years and we found speaking English to people much easier now than say 20 years ago.We would still not put it anywhere near the top compared to the number of cities we have visited,it has lost some of its charm.

Excellent”
Easy access to metro Gare lest and Nord. Small grocery across street and laundry a few doors away. In older area of Paris but hotel is in very good condition. Has elevator and Air conditioned. Front desk very helpful. Our rooms did not have breakfast option included on Agoda but it is available to purchase if you want it.

Quiet, good value rooms near Gare du Nord”
functional, clean, good value room with comfy bed and recently renewed bathroom. avoid rooms facing the noisy street at the front. located on a spacious side street a few minutes walk from gare du nord with convenient metro access, albeit near a few noisy bars with a few drunken folk late evenings, so some women might feel uncomfortable returning on their own at night. staff were fairly helpful and welcoming. wifi speed could be improved, but ok outside the busy daytime period.

Comfortable 2 Star Hotel- Great Location ”
Hotel has AC, elevator, easy access to Gare Nord/ L'EST. Breakfast was not included. Great place for groups to stay, they have many triple bed rooms. Staff very helpful. Laundry a few doors away and small store across the street. Streets do have a lot of homeless persons but no more than anywhere else that we travelled in Paris.

Meh”
Pros: fairly affordable, very close (walking distance) to Gare de Nord and Gare de l'Est train stations. The person at the front desk when we checked in was very friendly and helpful. Cons: Every night, a group of 5 - 6 guys sat drinking right outside the entrance to the hotel. Often very loud. They were also urinating very close to there as the smell would indicate We had to on a number of occasions notify the staff at the front desk to turn on the air conditioning. We could not control it from the room. The adjustable shower head was broken, so it was only at about mid-body level. I had to jam a piece of plastic in it to keep it at a level where I could rinse properly. Also, the hinge on the half glass shower door to keep water from going all over the bathroom, swung the door inwards into the shower. I had to jam a piece of paper in the to give myself adequate space. There was a dead rat in the garden smoking area. The staff didn't seem to bothered by it saying the "it's outside".

Very affordable for Paris”
This is a great hotel for a smaller budget, we were looking for somewhere to stay that was on the cheaper side, but fairly new and clean. The rooms are nice and clean, although fairly small. The hotel is in a good location, close to some attractions and a short trip to other various local attractions. We would definately recommend a stay here.

Staff was very friendly and cooperative. We received room service everyday. North and East stations and public transport were at walkable distance. I will recommend hotel for anyone. Only cons is WiFi network was not at all good. Had to struggle to get range.

Great location, nice room”
With the price I've paid and the overall star rate for this hotel, the bathroom kit should include body lotion and bathrobe. Also the hotel assistants are not as welcome as they normally do. But overall is ok, acceptable.

Nice stay at Paris”
A pleasant stay, nearby the conviniences. It took us about 10 mins to walk from the train station to the hotel. Breakfast was also nice at a small courtyard. A bit noisy if you keep thw windows open as my rom was facing the a night club. Overall, we are happy with the stay.

Good hotel at good location”
We had great experience staying here. But i would prefer to have ground floor room as my mother has knee problem as our room was at the 3rd floor without any lifts. Apart from that, no complaints.

much do be done to upgrade”
mediocre hotel in good location - drab, dated, looks like its due long awaited refurbishment . With internal courtyard which can be made so nice. Rubbish, cheap furniture, not enough electrical sockets in the room - and the existing ones loose and dangerous. Mattress comfortable though. Cheap looking breakfast room (we didn't use it). Glad I spent just one night in the hotel !

We were ROBBED”
We were ROBBED. The hotel requires that you leave the key at the desk when you exit the premises. I understand this when it is an antique decorative key like in many romantic hotels in Paris. However this is a plastic key card like you get at Motel 6. The key is left in the open behind the desk and is easily swiped. My Mother's and I had our room broken in to 3 hours in to staying at the hotel on 9/24/2018. Our hotel room conveniently sported a safe that would say "Error5" on the display when trying to use it. We put our valuables in a suitcase and locked it. Then left for dinner. The thief's used the room key, entered our room, opened the zipper on our luggage by prying apart the zipper till it opened. They took 520 euro from our room and 200 cash. They left our passports and other items. I believe with out a shadow of a doubt this was an inside job. The skill involved in this and how to pry open a suitcase zipper show confidence and experience. Another room was robbed same night.

Small but expensive budget hotel in a rowdy street”
We found the hotel not suitable for family or couples as there was an African pub right in front of the hotel. Hence, the hotel is situated in a rowdy and unsafe environment. There was one occurrence when there apparently was a quarrel between some pub-goers and one Black smashed his beer bottle along the street right in front of us. We were terrified and shocked and quickly walked away very fast. On a few nights, they were shouting and talking very loudly to one another and caused disturbance to the hotel stayers. There was also a lack of hotel facilities - there was no kettle in the room (we were asked by the hotel staff to drink tap water directly), no fridge and no minibar, no safe in the room (had to pay 2Euros per day if we are using the hotel safe in the lobby), the lift was very very old and cramp (max can only allow 2 pax with 2 luggage to squeeze in) and the lift does not directly lead to our floor (we had to climb a flight of stairs to reach our room), the hotel door was creaky and noisy, room was small and cramp, there was only one English channel (BBC) shown in the hotel tv and the rest were all channels which spoke in French. Hence, it was not very friendly to non-French speakers. There was also no laundry service provided in the hotel. Overall, it was not a pleasant stay and we will not go back to the same hotel anymore due to the above-mentioned experiences.
