Greatly impressed and value for money”
There’s so many things that I love about this hotel. Location wise, there’s a bus (500 yen) from airport that stops about 450m away, Ishigaki port is only roughly 10mins walking distance away. Facilities wise, there’s bicycle rental free for first 6 hours. The hotel also gives free breakfast, free drinks in the room. Staff wise, the staffs are very friendly and makes me feel very comfortable. The only con to me was that the bed for the double room was slightly smaller. Slightly squeezy for 2.

Hotel Patina Ishigaki”
Charming little hotel in a great location, close to the ferry terminal and to the center of town. Free parking if you have a vehicle, and bikes are provided to guests if you choose. The breakfasts were great - a variety of choices (Japanese dishes were delicious). Also has a great selection of teas available for guests at any time. We recommend this place for a stay in Ishigaki, and would stay here again if we visit Ishigaki in the future.

Perfect stay in Ishigaki, close to ferry port so very convenient if leaving to another island the next day. Very clean and all - but really all - amenities. Even free drinks (various teas, coffees) to take to your room and a very welcoming staff.

All staff were extremely helpful and friendly. A recommendation was made for a near-by restaurant: Dotepen, which had a salad bar and fresh, inexpensive seafood.That was our favorite restaurant in Ishigaki. The salad bar wasn't extensive, but it was our first salad bar at a small restaurant in Japan. Reservations are recommended, as it is a very popular spot with locals also. I also loved their incentives of conserving energy, getting points for not having your room cleaned daily or towels washed daily. At the end of your stay, you could redeem your points, & at the end of our 4 night stay, I was able to get a dishtowel, handcrafted key ring and rice cracker snack package. Location was also great, with a 5-10 min. walk to ferry and out of the congestion and noise of the downtown area.

Perfect location, bike rentals, tea and coffee bar! I just enjoyed this place so much! Highly recommend! My only complaint was smokers in the next room. Their smoke came into our room when they smoked on the balcony. The air conditioner sucked it in. It would be nice to have non-smoking floors

Location is great and close to city center, they offered free parking! Lawson is next to hotel! The breakfast is awesome and so fresh as well, I love it so much :) I also love that room and the size is quite big, the only thing that I dislike is that bed too small~ I Would stay here again!

Great little hotel, 10 minute walk to the ferry terminal for all the island hopping fun. It's also walking distance to the main strip of restaurants and bars in Ishigaki city. Would stay again.

Staff is very helpful and always available. Free laundry service means that we could travel lightly. Over 10 parking spaces available for hotel guests. Lovely breakfast as well as 24/7 tea and coffee! Only downside was that prices had pretty much doubled from our last stay.

A very decent hotel for the money. My wife and I stayed for just one night to catch the ferry close-by on the next day. Breakfast was very good. The room we stayed in was a little small but sufficient. Staff was very friendly. Recommended!

The room price is cheap. The room is not that small. But I don’t understand why the bed is so small. We are a pair of skinny Asian couple, but I still think the bed is too small for 2 people. The room has plenty of space to accommodate a large bed actually.

Lovely small hotel with very good service”
we originally booked a standard twin room but the room turned out to be on the small side for two people staying for 5 nights. if it was a weekend stay, the size of the room probably would've been sufficient but given we had two big suitcases we needed enough room for those plus space to sit down and relax. we managed to change the room to a 'large twin' and in the doing so the staff at the front desk was very helpful. the large room was perfect for our 5-night stay as it had enough room for our suitcases and an area with a table and two chairs where we could relax. the room was very clean. breakfast, which was included in the price, was very good. the hotel was close to the airport (10 minutes taxi ride) as well as to the harbour (approximately 10 to 15 minutes walk) - this was convenient for our visits to other islands from ishigaki. the hotel was also in walking distance to many restaurants and shops. overall, we had a very good experience at hotel patina ishigakijima.

The best hotel in Ishigaki, wonderful food”
Price: Patina offers the best value for money. Unbeatable price with breakfast included in the rate. Breakfast - breakfast, with a great selection of fantastic western and authentic Japanese food, pastries and drinks Staff: staff that work in shift could barely speak English, however they are very helpful. Travelling around ishigaki with buses is quite a headache to some due to the infrequent schedules, however the staff still try hard to explain any question we had the best she can, offer us a bus schedule and circle in the stop/places we wanted to go. Expected some time to do the talking though. Room: clean, with nice amenities. There is a green incentive where u can collect points for not replacing the toiletries. However, we forgot to fill in the form the first night, the toiletries were still replaced though Location: unlikely other hotels in ishigaki port, patina was not conveniently located right next to the ferry terminal nor the bus terminal. However walking to these two terminals is just within 5-10 mins. It was nicely located in a quiet area away from the busy Main Streets yet still within a walking distance. Sometimes it is nice to have a little relaxing walking back to hotel after a full satisfying dinner with summer breeze. *This won't be a big problem for those who travel with car. Overall experience - great value for money, with nice Japanese coffee and cold green tea at reception that the guest can enjoy all time. The only thing regret about Patina is that it was so popular that bookings were full. We managed to book for two nights only with agoda online and regretfully booked another hotel which is closer to the port/bus terminal on the third night. Wish we could have stay the whole time at patina.
