One of the best choices.
Location near Lumbini main entrance. Tourist bus can stop and pick-up infront hotel. Staff are all helpful and informative. Bus ticket can book with hotel. Good breakfast provided. With limited choices around this area, this hotel rating is top.

Definitely not peaceful enough!
For starters, it's far from the village. When I say that I mean you have to walk away from the maya Devi temple toward an unkept and unlit road to reach this hotel. Though not much far but it's definitely what we dreaded. Two their wifi sucks big time. No wifi for majority of the days. Restaurant is not well maintained and usually is not attended by anyone. We went there twice and were met with absolute silence as there was nobody to attend. We changed two rooms and believe you me their AC's didn't work in any. Bathrobe? Forget it! Staff was polite but they have no clue what they are doing there. So until you ask specified question they will promptly and courteously reply to you but for rest of the question they'll say we need to ask our boss. Boss is usually on a trip. So basically what they have as service was something what we could have gotten anyways in other hotels. Nothing against the hotel but it's DEFINITELY NOT WORTH THE MONEY THEY ARE ASKING.

The hotel is good located and the staff is awesome and very helpful special a guy in front desk.
Just one thing. I didn't like the advice in order to get a taxi for visit the temples area, who likes to walk can do it and is not necessary to spend money. Also the taxi driver was unfriendly.

Many Good Features, Two Negatives
Cleanliness, Front Desk Helpfulness, Location
We experienced may positives in our stay at Hotel Peaceland: comfortable beds, clean rooms, helpful front desk staff with above average English, working AC, backup power for when the notorious local grid goes down, no bedbugs, and a great position relative to the Buddhist sights at Lumbini. Two things marred our stay: 1) my spouse had food poisoning symptoms (nausea, vomiting, low-grade fever) that is most logically connected to a (veg) meal we ate at the hotel's restaurant, and 2) we were doing work while we travelled that required a stable, reasonablly quick Internet connection. While the WiFi in the building was fine, the connection to the rest of the Internet was not acceptable for our needs. To give that some context, I had 16MB files to upload to a client. At the hotel's speeds one file should have taken two hours. Working at various times between 5 AM and 1 AM over three days, there was _never_ a time when the connection to the Internet was up long enough to make even one 2-hour transfer.

Clean. Basic. Location good.
Location and okay clean
Friendly reception. Room okay. Though moist sheets were a bit uncomfortable. They have a generator but it didnt allow us yo heat the room after the power cut. Msybe you have to ask again for them to switch it on. Free wifi, but didnt work in room. Breakfast can be avoided. However I think I would go back there cause our rooms were okay.
