      Stunning Views ”

Pool, One Bedroom Villa & breakfast

We stayed at Hotel Pertiwi Bisma I for three short nights, really wish we could have stayed longer! The hotel grounds are beautiful and the pools have stunning views. The staff there were amazing and always ready to help. We hiked Mt. Batur one morning and the mini bus came to pick us up at 2am and another morning we left for Gili T before breakfast was ready, the hotel staff prepared boxed breakfast for us both mornings. The one bedroom valley villa was beautiful! Beds were comfortable and the villa exceeded our expectations (considering the price we paid). The road leading to the hotel is very rough and narrow, our cab drive from the airport was reluctant to go down it. With a little more development towards the end of Bisma Rd, the quality of the roads will improve. We took a shortcut to get to Monkey Forest Rd, we walked through Hotel Pertiwi Bisma Resort and Spa (very nice property as well). The breakfast buffet was fantastic but the lunch/dinner menu's were a bit of a let down. I would absolutely recommend this hotel and stay there again.

      Great Stay, very good Hotel”

Our overall experience at the Pertiwi Bisma I was very good we definitely recommend this Hotel. The staff is very helpful and friendly and the service is also good. We book a Villa (what we see in the photos is really what we get upon arrival - the bed was very comfortable, spacious bathroom, aircon working properly, amazing balcony overlooking the pool), despite of the number of stairs to access the villas, really worth the effort as the sights are impressive overlooking the jungle and the infinity pool, the reception and security staff either at the check in/ and check out help us carrying themselves the luggage which was very nice. The location is also very good, close enough from the center and Monkey Forest (5 min by motorbike) and still quiet as is not located on a main street, and we felt completely integrated into the nature, for the ones that are not comfortable with a motorbike the street has several restaurants which seemed nice. The Villa and the Hotel in general is very clean and the gardens are daily maintained by the staff; The breakfast is basic (traditional Indonesian food and continental breakfast) but still good specially the banana pancakes with fresh coconut. We really enjoyed our time here and we recommend this Hotel for sure!

      Relaxing, beautiful and affordable”

The hotel was new, clean and beautifully maintained, it was in a quiet location out of the bustle of the main streets but close enough to everything, the price for the quality of the hotel was great

I enjoyed my stay at Pertiwi Bisma 1, the staff were freindly and attentive, and they were quick to arrange a lift to anywhere within the Ubud centre. There were not very many guests so it was very quiet and peaceful. Breakfast was nice although they didnt start serving until 8am, I would have liked to get my day started a little earlier. Perhaps it was just because I was there in off season but the restaurant only served breakfast. There was a room service menu, but on the one occasion I called to order room service they said it was not available for food, although I was able to order a beer to have brought down to the pool. It didnt really matter though as there were plenty of food places within a short stroll from the hotel. The gardens and pool area were very pretty and the staff very nice.

      Mixed feelings”

We love Pertiwi hotels in Ubud and have stayed in the Jalan Monkey Forrest one 5 or 6 times now. For the New Year' trip we decided to try Bisma - and I'm not sure it was the right choice. Perhaps it was the timing - or perhaps we were just unlucky - or perhaps this hotel has a different management style. The good: - Gourgeous hotel in the quieter Bisma with secluded villas and beautiful grounds; - Beautiful lower pool that is tranquil and clean; - Almost no mosquitoes despite having the jungle on your doorstep; - We got a free upgrade to the poolside villa which was a nice surprise (with a downside though, see below) - Very comfortable and wide (180cm) king size bed - Friendly staff The bad (or surprising for Pertiwi chain): - The biggest disappointment was the morning after we arrived when we got woken up before 6 am by loud voices outside. Apparently a group of Russian yogi has occupied the space for their morning practice - and no, it's not your usual quiet yoga, these guys were talking at the top of their lungs with no regard to the people sleeping above. We endede up stepping out and asking them to be quiet as it was impossible to sleep. Didn't work at all, we were completely ignored. The same thing was happening every morning for a week and by the end of our stay we were totally exhausted by this. Turns out most of these people, including teachers do not even stay at the hotel but come over for practices only (morning and night). So I would assume that the management is fully aware of this / is renting out the space, but this isn't mentioned anywhere on the website or facebook. Beware - and ask the questions before you book. - The so-called Valley Suites are not at all what they look like in the photos. In fact these are three rooms on the lower level, facing the valley - with the yoga studio for a roof. Thus - there will be people right above your head - and if they're loud you won't get much relaxation. - Compared to the other Pertiwi h

I was pleasantly surprised to find this hotel. Tucked away from thw main street. Only 15 minute walk ti monkey forest. Gardens are beautiful ^ swimming pool overlooks the river $ forest. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Sometimes hear a rooster croaking in the morning, si bring ear plugs if you're a light sleeper. Great choice of breakfast. Service was wonderful. A branch of Pertiwi Hotels - better than the rest”

Staff service, Room size and the pool

We particularly love the pool at Pertiwi Bisma 1. Its one of the best pools with great view. Always recommended to spend a day by the pool and take in all the surrounding - truly amazing. The breakfast was mediocre, we suggest that Pertiwi Bisma 1 add better pastries to the breakfast, some good brown break and some quality yogurt. Eggs needs some improvement too. I am certain Pertiwi Bisma 1 can do better with breakfast!

Friendliness of staff, pool facilities and location

Exceeded expectations. Ubud's sights and sounds tired us out but Pertiwi Bisma relaxed us at the end of two long days. Would definitely recommend the hotel. Staff were really helpful, room was clean, we enjoyed the breakfast and pool area. Minor downside was the 20 min walk but it was good exercise.

      Location. pools and staff

We had a great stay at this hotel. We were away from the busy centre but only a small walk. The area was beautiful with rain forest and palms in front of the bottom pool. At night we could see fireflies from our villa balcony. The staff were VERY helpful and booked restaurants for us, organised transport and located places we were seeking. Was our first trip to Ubud and staying at the Pertiwi Bisma 1 definitely made the trip relaxing and fun. PS. hint, walk through the Pertiwi Spa to the Monkey forest road.

      Value for Money”

      location , view, swimming pool

I like staying at Pertiwi Bisma. Rooms are big and the restaurant and swimming pool is just nearby. I loved the view from swimming pools, it was amazing. The hotel is in a quite side of Ubud, but you are able to walk to the centre. Staff very nice as usual in Bali. I would come back again.

Great staff, great for a picturesque escape”

      Staff, Nature and ambience

Hotel Pertiwi Bisma 1 is not along the main street. This makes it a quiet place for people looking for good relaxation. The staff are very friendly as well. Breakfast was great. As the hotel is next to a padi field, insects are present around the hotel compound, but not so much in the room itself. For nature lovers, this is a good place. The only drawback is that its about a 7 minute walk to the main road, but there is a shortcut through the other Pertiwi resort. Will go back to this place again!

      A fantastic place in Ubud”

      quiet, comfortable, nice pool

A very new hotel located in a quiet area in Ubud (Jalan Bisma), but at the same time close to central Ubud by walk. The hotel also provides with a free transportation service if needed. Rooms are big, comfortable and clean. The swimming pool with the view towards the river valley is gorgeous. The buffet breakfast provided is good and with a nice selection. The staff always very friendly and attentive, also the balinese owner. We enjoyed our stay and will recommend to anyone.

Fantastic stays!... Sure to be back!”

      Friendly, quiet & rate reasonable

We stayed in Pertiwi Besmia 1 for 3 nights. Although is a distance away from town, but we can detour thru their partner hotel property within 10 mins. It was our great pleasure to be greeted by the owner Mdm Agung, she is young, pretty and friendly. We are impressed by the surrounding environment & beautiful greenery. We are pleased with the set breakfast menu which are satisfactory. They are serve while the main course still hot. Our room are clean and our bed was decorated with red pretty flower and a pair of folded loving swans... Thumb up for their meaningful thought and good handcraft work. Hotel had offer free transport to ubud town which is a plus. We love to take the stroll thru rice paddies , other spa outlets & there are many cafe along the street. We would certainly recommend this hotel to our love ones & friends who are visiting Ubud/ Bali...hope to be back again:)

      good hotel”

This was the second time we stayed at Pertiwi Bisma 1, the first time was in August 2014 when the hotel had only been open about 9 months and we stayed a week. We loved it so much we decided to return and stay another week here, unfortunately we were not as happy this time. Although the staff were absolutely wonderful (as they were previously) and many recognised us from our previous visit including the owners and the grounds were beautifully maintained, the rooms, pools and general maintenance of the buildings was needing some attention. The AC had trouble handling the heat of the afternoon and as you know, it is pretty indispensable when staying in Bali that you have properly functioning air con. The room service (cleaning) staff, although once again lovely, friendly and accommodating definitely lacked attention to detail, especially when cleaning the showers which had mould in them and leaked through the ill fitting glass doors and the gap between the glass shower wall and the tile wall which meant that you stepped out of the shower to a floor covered in water. Also needed is more cupboard space to hang and unpack your personal belongings. I can't say that we didn't enjoy our stay and were sad to leave (largely due to the amazing staff and the serenity of the hotel) however we will not be returning here in the future. Go though and enjoy the wonderful setting, staff and hospitality that Pertiwi Bisma 1 has to offer.

The infinity pools Remote location, I.e. quietness Room size

Superb stay at Hotel Pertiwi Bisma 1. The infinity pools and location of this Hotel made it a very peaceful stay. It is off of the main 'strip', but out only took 7 minutes to walk there.

      Service, food and TV!

Much better than Pertiwi Bisma 2, the staff were more on the ball, kind, helpful and didnt set fire to the breakfast table. Same hotel build as the others in the Pertiwi line (there are 4 or 5 I think) so rooms are comfortable and well equipped. No problems here and even though it rained it was nice :)

Value for money hotel during your stay in Ubud”

Value for Money, Amazing view pool, Good food

We had a great stay in Pertiwi Bisma I. Good food, frendly staff and sure the beatifull view of the pool. Everything was great except the location of the hotel that is a lil bit quite far from the main road. But That was okay because you can park your motorcycle at Pertiwi Hotel (in front of Adi Cottage) for a while and walk away to Hotel Pertiwi Bisma I if you need to pick up something in your room.

      Girls trip!”

Lovely surroundings, very peaceful away from the centre of Ubud. Perfect start to our time in Bali after a weekend in Kuala Lumpur. The rooms were very clean, although the bathrooms could do with some attention. Very attentive staff and nothing was too much to ask - we organised a driver twice through the hotel and although a little pricier than street vendors, felt a lot safer! Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Ubud.

Friendly helpful staffs, lovely atmosphere at the hotel

Stayed 3 nights at Pertiwi Bisma 1. Could improve more on the cleanliness in the room; toilet is pretty run down, bedsheets kinda smelly and kinda sticky to skin. But staffs were super friendly! Everyone was very welcoming. Great spread of breakfast menu

      good hotel”

      Breakast, infinity pool, chill

There's a few Pertiwi Bisma hotels so make sure you know which one youre at. Pleasant stay. Located between the ubud market center and the Monkey forrest - although its a bit of a trek back from the markets in the sun if you've been walking around all day - torches at night - no lamps. Not many options for restaurants or food stores close walking distance. They have a courtesay shuttle a few times a day but dont do pickups only drop off. Breakfast was good in the morning and they even made us an early take away bx when we departed early in the morning before scheduled breakfast. The infinity pool is amazing not busy and no one else seemed to use it. Horrible shower. It was a good short stay.
