Petite hotel but good service”
Small but good enough hotel with friendly staffs I wanted to save money by staying at a small hotel like Hotel Pho Sein. As there are not many choices in Yangon and most hotels are expensive. I was happy with this hotel so much. It is small and quiet. Room is new and good enough. It is a 2-stars hotel but i would like to rate it as 4-stars hotel. The location is good if you want somewhere more quiet. The staffs are friendly. I felt safe staying in this hotel and i'm pretty sure i will stay here again for my next visit.

Small but good enough”
i stayed at hotel phosein from oct4th-6th,2012. as i was travelling alone so i wanted to save money by staying at a small hotel like hotel phosien. as there are not many choices in yangon and most hotels are expensive.i was happy with this hotel so much. it is small and quiet. room is new and good enough.it is 2 stars hotel but i gave 4 stars. the location is good if you want somewhere more quiet. but if you want somewhere near downtown or market area,it is alittle bit far.the staff are friendly. i felt safe staying in this hotel as i travelled alone. i will stay here again for my next visit.

Very Comfortable & Relaxing Stays in Yangon”
Very good value hotel. Mid-range price, not too cheap, not too expensive and you get everything you hope for. A bit out of centre of town but no problems as you can reach every attraction by cheap taxi. The room is clean and comfortable with cable tv, fridge fully-equipped with nice selection of beer, okay bathroom. Minthargi Bar/Restaurant on the top floor serves very delicious food and cocktail drink. Just sit there to sip a drink, listen to nice western music and see Shwedagon Paya by night is such a superb experience!! Staff is helpful though internet is too slow. Only one warning, don’t eat snack on bed and try move your bed away from wall as there might be ants army crawling around trying to find something to eat.

Clean and comfortable for a short stay”
Best thing about the hotel is the helpful staff. Its clean and convenient for downtown or North Yangon - as long as you can agree a price with your taxi - but internet only works in the top-floor restaurant.

Central location standard but price for value”
Pho Sein is central located with a moderate price no surprise you get value for the price. Staff was very friendly and efficient to help you. Nice view on the city room the restaurant located at the top floor unfortunately the breakfeast is dreadful.

Charming petite hotel with pleasant surprises... good staff services, nice Minn Thar Gyi Music Bar at the roof top Hotel room is clean and spacious, simple amenities yet so comfortable to stay. Unfortunately too short a stay to explore more ... Most important of all, extreme value for money & i will visit again Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: The Golden pagoda - Shwedagon is worth the visit!!!

Decent for the price”
Advertised as new hotel. and it is but its a renovated older building. The room I had had only ONE plug, which the TV was using, so had to unplug that and use that way in the back behind tv for any charging of ele3ctronic devices and batteries. No other plug anywhere. Nice 24 hour mini mart 108 just out front to your left on the other side of a busy medical building. If you walk one more minute on same side of street you find a local lunch/dinner eatery and all the servers are young boys. Menu has no prices. They calculate your bill and tell you mentally. I enjoyed that and went several times. They have a round bean paste pasty for 300 kyat that is very good there. Breakfast is on top floor and gives a nice breaze and views but is rather skimpy if your used to big buffet breakfasts. Staff is nice and friendly. Agoda books three categories of price ranges. I booked the middle one twice. If I was to do it again Id book the lowest as I cant be sure it really matters on what room you get. Had a nicer room second visit for same category booked. so??

Very friendly staff, lage but substandard room.”
Room at Pho Sein is large but the shower is substandard, especially for regular room, toilet room is small, water for shower will spray throughout the room as there is no separation of shower and toilet.

Nice hotel, close to park, friendly staff”
Hotel is nice, no frills as such but rooms are nice and clean. Rooms facing the main street are a bit loud but otherwise no problem. Staff are exceptionally kind and helpful. Breakfast was limited but dinner menu is fine, nice views of Shwedagon from the dining area and a band at night. Location is a bit out of the way but easy to access everything cheaply by taxi (2,000K to get the the main areas) and walking distance to a big park.

Helpful staff!”
Spent a day walking around Yangon and was just glad to have a bed to crash into. Room was nice and modern, and it came with a TV, toiletries--the usual. Elevator was pretty fast. Met some mosquitos but it's nothing to be worried about as it's quite common in the city.

Acceptable value for money hotel”
i chose this hotel because of its rate and its location and both were quite good. close to a crossroad of main axis of yangon it is very practical for a business trip full of meetings spread over yangon. as many hotels of yangon it is becoming quite old, especially the bathroom, and its original designdoes not prevent the customer to feel he is in a narrow place: small lobby, small elevator and room as well not that big. anyway it remains an acceptable solution in regards with scarcity of accomodation in myanmar capital.

The staff was friendly and helpful, wi-fi surprisingly fast (for Myanmar), room nicely decorated and clean. A good restaurant (Ashoka) just 5 min walk away. You could also walk to Shwedagon if you don't mind the heat.

Fairly new hotel, good room”
Situated too far out of town 20min.+ from town same from airport. Not much choice for eating nearby. However it is a a nice hotel & the staff are helpful.

Easy access to attraction sites”
The value of money is a bit not reasonable. Anyway, they have good food and good service staff. Room is clean but toilet is a bit bad smell. Easy to go to the airport from this location. You will see the Schwedagon Pagoda on the roof top restaurant of the hotel every morning.

Our stay at Pho Sein was not very pleasant. Hotels in Burma are extremely expensive and I feel this to be a 2 star with 4 star rates. Staff are however very friendly and helpful WHEN they understand what you want.
