Great hotel for stop over”
Directly across the street from the bus terminal. Easy and convenient if taking the bus. Neighborhood is rough and I would not venture out after dark. Hotel is fine with its tall wall surrounding the complex. Hotel is clean but tired and worn. Has a pool. Breakfast which was included was sufficient. Staff are excellent.

Located across ADO bus station, only 30 meters walk . Staff is friendly and helpful. This is an old hotel but rooms are clean . Perfect place to stay if you need to take the bus early in the morning .

Great little spot”
We have stayed here numerous times while making our way from the airport to areas south of Cancun. The rooms are somewhat small but with a great shower and a flat screen tv. They are clean and comfy. The restaurant has good food and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Everything is reasonably priced, the staff is friendly and always helpful. There is no bellman nor elevator so you do have to carry your bags up the stairs should you not be on the ground level. This hotel is downtown , not on the beach.

The Plaza Caribe is located in central Cancun. The hotel has a large swimming pool, which is surrounded by a lush courtyard. In the courtyard you will find peacocks, parrots, and other birds. The people always say "hola" and smile. The food is okay, but there are many good restaurants nearby. We had a quiet and relaxing time at the Plaza Caribe.

Surprisingly good hotel”
I booked this hotel as i needed to go early to Cancun airport. It is situated just on the other side of the street from the ADO bus station. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the hotel. Once you go through the lobby, the hotel has an inside garden and nice swimming pool. The rooms are not near the street and are very quiet (and big), the guest are completely sheltered from the busy life around the bus station. Obviously not a place to spend a full holiday in Cancun, but a great place if you arrive late or leave early to the airport.

Convenient for ADO buses”
I chose to stay at Hotel Plaza Caribe because I was picking up a tour there. I found the hotel decent, but nothing really special. Although there were definite advantages, as mentioned above, the room I was given was dark and damp. There was no proper window in my room and there were quite a few mosquitoes buzzing inside the room. Also, the hotel was decidedly noisy, not due to street noise, but because noise carries extremely well in stone/concrete buildings. The older wing where I was housed was also undergoing renovations; which ment near constant hammering and drilling overhead (8 am - 7 pm). I don't think the rooms in this area should be rented out right now.

if you come to Cancun to continue to Yucatan best is to stay here as the ADO bus station is just opposite the hotel! perfect! otherwise the hotel is really mediocre. when we had diner there cause we arrived late one of us felt sick. it is clean but the place is very run down. it smells very strongly of bleach detergent. we nearly felt nauseous! and the bleach destroyed one of our t-shirts. there must have been bleach left on the surfaces as my green t-shirt had a bleach mark when I took it out of the room so, value is good for Cancun especially as it is so close to ADO which has been a great and very good value experience

A wonderful place to stay if you want to submerge yourself in the Mexican culture. Bus station is just across the road so if you want to experience the high rise glitsy hotels and commercialism you can get there quickly. Wonderful food at the hotel. Rooms are very clean, pool is nice. Staff are welcoming.

great hotel staff very helpful. the hatel has a nice pool and a great patio with peacocks and parrots. flowering bushes are all around. the restaurant opens on to the patio. The room did not have any view other than a wall. it was adequate for a short stay.
