Situated opposite Fira Barcelona Exhibition Centre, Porta Fira is an impressive red tower designed by Japanese architect Toyo Ito. It offers a gym, sauna and stylish rooms with free Wi-Fi and views over Barcelona. Hotel Porta Fira’s rooms feature sleek minimalist décor and include a minibar and a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. The modern bathrooms come with a selection of toiletries. The Porta Fira offers a breakfast buffet and has an elegant restaurant, serving international cuisine. You can also enjoy light meals and drinks in the snack bar and café. Lovely hotel and service with a smile”
No words can express my joy of stay in this hotel. Room is very good with modern-minimalist style. Metro station & Gran Via Mall are walking distance from this hotel. I thanked the staffs for their kindness, great help & information, which made my stay in Barcelona a wonderful experience. Should i visit Barcelona again, i'll never stay in other hotel as Hotel Porta Fira is my second home.
Highly recommend... ”
I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of Hotel Porta Fira. Location: short walk to the Metro which was very convenient for our trip to visit the sights. Takes about 40 minutes to reach the centre but fine by us since we were not in any hurry. Also from the airport, there's a direct bus 46 which stops us in front of IKEA, and a short 5 minute walk from the hotel. Lastly, even though there's not many restaurants around, there's a big shopping mall with the Carrefour more than serving our groceries needs. Room was slightly bigger than expected, and clean. I would definitely consider staying here again.
One of our great stay in Spain”
We had a great stay at Porta Fira. It situated at a quieter area of Barcelona, not near to city centre. But this does not impose any problem to us at all as it is very near (5mins walk) to Metro Europa Fira. (Turn right when you come out of the metro.) There is a huge mall, restaurants and a macdonald nearby (10mins walk) and you could visit camp nou with 15mins Metro ride. Room - Small, clean with modern designs. Staff - Friendly and some spoke good English.
Iconic hotel, ”
I caught the #46 bus from the airport which costs 2euros, got off at Ikea and the hotel was a 3 minute walk from the stop. The check in staff were very efficient and friendly and the room was modern and clean with a very comfortable bed and en suite bathroom. The buffet breakfast has plenty of choice and although the hotel is slightly outside the centre of Barcelona you can easily catch a train into Placa Espanya the journey takes about 15 minutes.
Nice hotel located between airport and Barcelona ”
We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and was well worth the stay. It is conveniently located between the airport and Barcelona center. Cost us 20 EUR for a taxi to the airport and there is a metro line within 5 min walk. This hotel is located in a business district so there isn't much nice restaurant around the area. There is a mall located within 10min walk which help for a quick snack. Hotel was clean, staff where professional and helpful.
A great and really beautiful hotel”
We chose this hotel because of its looks and location for a summer vacation, even though it's not really close to the sea coast. However, thanks to the great rail and metro network of Barcelona, going even to one of the remote beaches like Mataro or Sitges takes just over an hour in comfortable and frequently running trains. On the inside the hotel is just as good as seen from outside - new, modern and extremely clean rooms with comfortable beds, very nice bathrooms and simple but beautiful design. Service was also great while practically seamless.
Coo designer's hotel”
The hotel has easy access to the airport and Fira Barcelona Gran Via site. However you have to be careful as it is not close to Montjuic. To get to the city center, you can go by either subway or bus, and I recommend to go on the bus as it has direct access. Hotel is designed in a beautiful as well as functional way and it is very comfortable.
Me and my boyfriend decided to spend a week in Barcelona to celebrate my 30th birthday. We were delighted when we saw the room, very good size, clean and modern. It was also on the 17th floor which gave us a very nice view of the area! The staff was very friendly upon both check in and check out but also when we had questions on transportation and anything else we needed. What made us a very good impression though was the fact that on my birthday, when we came back to the hotel quite late, we saw that when the room was cleaned, the staff had left a piece of chocolate cake on the desk with wishes for a happy birthday. It's these little things that make customer service really special. Overall we were very happy with our stay and would happily go back any time!
New and Nice Hotel with friendly staff”
It was a two night stay and it was very nice. The room was spacious(a twin room) The washroom is big and clean. The gym room gives a view of the city from the 17th floor( it has a sauna too, but I have not tried as male and female share the same sauna room)The hotel locates right next to Ikea and a big shopping mall, but if you are looking for good food you need to go out to city centre. There are bus stop and metro station close to the hotel, I mostly took bus as the metro system of Barcelona is quite confusing(you need to pay for two tickets to go to the city centre, because the two lines are operated by two companies..)the bus to airport is not frequent enough, it was horribly packed. But overall I would recommend this hotel for travelers looking for a comfortable stay with a tight budget.
The room was clean and spacious, and the bed was comfortable. I like the fact that it is just a few minutes walk to the Europa | Fira Metro Station.
Excellent unique hotel, location bad for tourists ”
Cool looking and unique style, however poor location for tourists like myself. Location would be ideal for business trips as very close to convention centre and airport. Friendly staff, very clean rooms. Breakfast is buffet style and good, but not worth the 15 Euro pp. Other hotels closer to downtown are less and offer more variety if you're a tourist seeking the best deals. Overall would recommend for business but not pleasure.
Friendly and excellent clean hotel”
Wonderful. My husband was impressed and start telling our family and friends the moment they ask which hotel we stayed in Barcelona.
nice and clean room”
nice view, silence, new hotel. but far from the metro station, but easy to contect bus station lf i visit barcelona again, i will stay at this hotel again.
nice hotel outside barcelona”
my local friend first comment was "i was surprised that you weren't robbed in that area!" for him, the hotel is located not in but outside barcelona. it is in the middle of nowhere and you are about 40 to 45 minutes from town if you take the public transport. but i don't really mind the train journey and i love my room.
Hotel was amazing. definitely got my money worth.”
Stay was worth every penny. will definitely stay here when i am in barcelona in the future.
Clean and Beautiful”
we had arrived the hotel after midnight since we took a very late flight to barcelona. and the stuff are still very friendly to us. the interior design are modern and really good. the guest room are very comfortable, we took a good rest in here and will consider stay again in this hotel.
4 star hotel with 5 star facilities and staff”
This was one of the very best hotels that I have stayed at in Europe. The staff are so professional and really go out of their way to assist you in any way. In actual fact my daughter, who stayed with us for the one night at this hotel, was so impressed with everything at this hotel, that she booked a further 3 night stay. Will definitely recommend and intend coming back here as well.
Gret value for money”
We stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed the hotel very much. The location near by the shopping center is very helpful. The access to the city with the Metro is easy and the easy access to the airport is a good point as well. The service by the hotel stuff is great and overall value of the hotel is one the best in the area.
Loved It! I will stay there again when I travel to Barcelona.
Very surprised with the quality of the rooms”
We found this hotel after failing to find somewhere closer to the action, with good reviews. The hotel is in the out of town business district, but we found that the frain system was very convenient. We were in town within 20 mins. Big rooms and good service, coun't ask for more
