Local Japanese hotel with a fantastic view of Mt Fuji, onsite public onsen & a good buffet breakfast”
We stayed at Hotel Regina Kawaguchiko for 2 nights, and we had a wonderful experience. Foremost, the room we stayed in came with a fantastic, unblocked view of Mt Fuji and the surrounding forests. Waking up to Mt Fuji was an experience we will remember for a long time. The public onsen was also a big plus. The buffet breakfast was also good and we were able to experience both local and western options. The location of the hotel was also excellent, and there were numerous restaurants and cafes within a 15-minute walking radius. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone who relishes a full and unblock view of Mt Fuji as part of the overall experience being in Kawaguchiko.
Great view of Mt. Fuji”
My partner and I had a good experience staying at Hotel Regina Kawaguchiko. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and they provided shuttle service to-fro the hotel and Kawaguchiko station which makes it very convenient for us. The room was spacious and clean, and we were lucky to have a good view of Mt. Fuji. There is a shopping mall nearby, and some restaurants which offer a fair variety of dining options.
Nice hot spring, amazing view with Mt. Fuji”
Please call the hotel when you arrive at Kawaguchiko st. There are one 7-11 nearby the station and you can ask their help to call the hotel if you have no local phone. You can see Fuji Mt. from the room, Hot spring is nice with cold water pool and sauna. They offer shuttle service to Kawaguchiko st. You can put your stuffs at hotel after check-out and they will bring it to station when you finished the travelling at Kawaguchiko lake. Very nice and kind services.Room is also big with difference bed room and dining room.
Memorable Majestic Mount Fuji View”
Definitely will revisit and recommend friends to stay at this Hotel. You can get a breathtaking view of Majestic Mount Fuji from the Majestic Room on a clear day, really value for money. We managed to capture Mount Fuji as it appears after midnight, sunrise and early morning session, on our last day in Kawaguchiko. We enjoyed the food at the hotel too. The free shuttle service to/from Kawaguchiko Train Station is excellent and their service is really commendable as they even fetched us back from the town restaurant to the Hotel.
FujiSan looked superb from the 8th floor of Hotel Regina the two mornings we were there. Staff were consistently pleasant & helpful, the onsen & spa really good. The shuttle bus till 11pm to/from Kawaguchiko station worked a treat. Hired a bike and rode around the lake. Boat ride also provides good views. The scenic bus seemed good for next time, as does FujiQ . Great place, stay & hotel.
Excellent Room, View and Service ”
The room is very spacious (comparable to Singapore 4 star hotel) and it very clean. The view of Mount Fuji is amazing, just infront of the hotel. My family of 3 love the 1 night stay and is very cosy. We had the connecting rooms and they provide shuttle bus services from 9am - 1pm and 2pm onwards. Do check out your train or bus ride to Lake Kawaguchiko if you want the free shuttle bus. Call them when you arrive and they will pick u up at bus no. 10 at Kawaguchiko Station. Enjoy your trip !
Overnight Trip To See Mt. Fuji”
From check-in to check-out, my experience at this hotel was great! Front desk staff was friendly and I got upgraded to a comfort room! The view from each room has a view of Mt. Fuji when it is not shy by the clouds. The room was clean and modern and Huge! I would defiantly stay again and for a few more days next time. Arigato Hotel Regina for a great stay!
Great view of Mt Fuji”
- Hotel is slightly further away from Kawaguchiko station. However, the hotel provides shuttle services between hotel to Kawaguchiko station and FujiQ highland. Just give them a ring and they will send someone down immediately. Hence, it eases a lot of inconvenience. - Hotel room is very big (I mean REALLY big as it is like a studio apartment with walk in shoe corridor, a walk in wardrobe concept, a sofa area, and a bed area) and clean. Each room has a balcony with a view of Mt Fuji direct. We were lucky to be given a room at Level 10. The view was magnificent. - There is an onsen, indoor swimming pool and souvenir shop right on level 1 of the hotel. There is a restaurant on Level 2, However, our experience with the restaurant was not too good. Opening hours was from 5.30pm. We waited til then, but was told that restaurant was pretty booked today from external guest as it was a Saturday. we were then told to wait til 630pm. Doesn't help that we were starving, there was no restaurant around the hotel (had to walk about 10 mins out to find a restaurant), we had not choice but to wait. Serving of food took very long. Overall, will recommend this place should you not mind the location, want a good view of Mt Fuji, and would just like to stay within the hotel to enjoy the scenery.
Good view, facilities and staff”
The hotel is located quite far from kawaguchiko station. However, there are shuttle services to and fro hotel. Services to the hotel must be made via telephone call, which I did not possess. Apart from that, it was great. Also, there is a spectacular view of mount fuji from the hotel room balcony. The public bath was enjoyable in cold autumn months. However, the hotel relies on centralised heating/cooling. As such, during November month, it is operating on centralised heating. Should you prefer cool air, you have to open the doors to the balcony.
Great hotel. Views of Mt Fuji are spectacular from room. Free internet, hot spring bath, reasonable breakfast (while the range of western breakfast was limited it was acceptable, and given i was the only westerner staying at the hotel, understandable). Hotel is not centrally located - but a free shuttle takes you to Kawaguchiko station in 7-10min drive. We would definitely return to this hotel.
Well maintained hotel”
I had wonderful time staying at Hotel Regina Kawaguchiko. Thank you for the free upgrade!
Will visit again”
It is strategically located to a view with Fuji mountain. You can get a free shuttle bus from the Kawaguchiko station. From Kawaguchiko Station you can access all sightseeing buses. The hotel staff is super friendly and upgraded our room for free. Will definitely visit again.
Great Mt Fuji View”
Big room with Excellent Mt Fuji view. Just at the balcony of your room. very friendly staff. good quality breakfast. Hotel provides free shuttle bus. However, pls take note of the timing of the shuttle bus . Morning timing is only from Hotel to Kawaguchiko station. Hotel only provide free shuttle bus from train station to Hotel in the afternoon. Not knowing of the inflexibility of the hotel, we book an early bus from Shinjuku bus terminal to Kawaguchiko station. The hotel said that they cannot fetch us in the morning and we cannot leave our luggage in the hotel before check in (eventhough we have informed that we will be back in the evening time to check in).
Huge Rooms with Unbelievable View of Mt Fuji!”
Hotel's pickup service to and from Kawaguchiko Station and Fuji Q Highland was so convenient! Huge rooms (can fit almost 5 - 6 people). Unprecedented view of Mt Fuji everyday! Only thing is that the hotel and room does feel dated and the balcony could be cleaned better, but doesn't bother me much!
Mt Fuji view from room balcony ”
1. Fantastic view of Mt Fuji from room balcony 2. Onsen is a plus, nice to experience it during winter 3. Location is a bit far away from Kawaguchiko Station, but hotel provide shutter service 4. Breakfast is fantastic, amazing varieties. 5. Staffs are extremely friendly, able to converse well in Egnlish
Our room had an excellent view of Mt Fuji and was very spacious. The shuttle from the Kawaguchiko service was fantastic and very quick. The breakfast buffet had a great selection. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and plan to come back in the future.
Simple but comfortable ”
Great little hotel with helpful staff. Free shuttle bus came after ladies at Kawaguchiko station information counter rang for us. Nice breakfast and comfortable room. Would stay again
Hotel was not near to Kawaguchiko station but the hotel provides shuttle services after 2pm. There are some convenience stores which need a 10min walk. Take note you are required to pay ¥300 for the osen tax even though you are not using it. We had a problem when we check out of the hotel at 10am as there isn't any shuttle service yet. Therefore, we had to take a cab to Kawaguchiko station which cost around ¥1600 for a 10min ride.
No view from inside room.”
We booked the double room with Mt Fuji view. Unfortunately the mountain can only be seen on the balcony and cannot be viewed from inside the room. The only reason we booked this hotel was to have a view of Mt Fuji and the photos available for the double room show the appearance that it is visible from the bed, this is not correct. Therefore, I don't think this room is good value for money, if you want a view from the room I would suggest the superior room. Next time I will just book a cheaper hotel and enjoy the view during the day as there is so many beautiful places to watch Mt Fuji in Kawaguchiko. Overall the hotel is nice but nothing special.
Went in Sep 2018 , enjoyed the stay , its a very nice place. Actually a deceptive number of shops nearby , and the hotel provide a pick up service too and from Kawaguchiko town itself. All in all Excellent
