Exceptional”
We had a great stay at Hotel Renate. The room was large and clean, and the best part was the balcony where you can relax at the end of the day. The staff were very friendly and helpful. From the hotel, it's an easy 10 minute walk to the main part of Alona beach, or there are tons of tricycles waiting along the way if you don't want to walk. Just make sure you have a map app handy on your phone because it's a new hotel and our taxi driver had some trouble finding it on the first day. I would definitely stay here again if I came back to Alona.

Great place to stay in Panglao Bohol”
Hotel Renate is a newly built hotel near Alona Beach, only 10 mins walk to the beach. The place is really clean, peaceful, safe, comfortable and accessible. If you will stay with family, friends or travelling alone I will recommend to stay in this place. The owner of this hotel is very helpful and nice. The receptionist is also very approachable and helpful in arranging our car to airport. We enjoyed our stay in this hotel. Good place, service and facilities. I highly recommend this place.

New and clean hotel with excellent value for money.”
We enjoyed our 4 nights stay at hotel Renate. Staff and owner are very friendly and the room has everything you can wish foor. We especially enjoyed sitting out on the balcony enjoying complimentary coffee in the breeze of the fan on balcony. We also liked that the hotel was very quiet, no roosters or dogs could be heard. We will be back again next time.

Amazing place, I would really recommend Hotel Renate. Everything was clean and new, the staff was kind and helpful. The location was also very good, close to the beach and a lot of restaurants. The WiFi wasn’t too good but it really isn’t anywhere in the Philippines. Would love to stay here again!

Hotel is just near the beach and center (10min walk). The hotel just opened last Sept so it’s really clean and new. Place is quiet, air conditioning was cold, water pressure and heater works very well. Only comment is they don’t have signages yet so it was a struggle finding the hotel. But I just called to ask for directions. All in all, I highly suggest this place!

It's a new hotel, to spend the night to sleep after excursions in and around Bohol. I rated 5/5 for cleanliness, staff, value for money and location. The cons is the hotel does not have exhaust fan, a small bathroom window is not sufficient to absorb the moisture and fogs in the mirror after a hot shower and the smell of the call of nature. The water pressure in the shower is strong. No clothes hanger in the closet but promptly provided upon request. A narrow, full length mirror in the room would be appreciated. The hotel staff contacted a taxi for us to the airport. No continental breakfast. There are neighboring restaurants. McDonald and Alona beach is around 7to10mins walk. Cleaned the room after a day away from excursion but forgot to supply a new towel, not a big deal though, save water and save the earth. Overall, we had excellent stay.

Close to everything at a great value.”
The rooms are very nice with everything you will need including a a couple of chairs and table outside each room. You can see that the owner was mindful in making this place. Very friendly and welcoming staff and owner, which is not always the case in heavy tourist areas. Will definitely stay there again.

Great value new hotel in bohol”
Great shower, air con, bed super comfy. Location was really good only 10 minutes walk from alona Beach. Amazing value for money. Only suggestion would be to make breakfast cost a little cheaper to entice you to eat at hotel, as although not really expensive we found great options for less very close by so never tried it.

Best Valued Accommodation ”
My husband and I were welcomed with smiles when we arrived and they also let us check-in early. The room was clean, came with all the basic things you’d see in a hotel. Wifi was fast considering how choppy the internet connection is on most parts of the island. The only downside is the expensive, airport price breakfast. But other than that, everything else was great! I’ve been to a lot of resorts in Panglao and I highly recommend staying here especially if you’re on a budget.

Great value for money and great hotel”
We stayed for 4 nights and the hotel was great. The people running the place were extremely helpful and accommodating, despite us making some requests at the last minute. The room itself was super clean and the beds were comfortable. Some mild karaoke sounds could be heard from a nearby bar (I think), but nothing to disturb your sleep. Overall, great value-for-money!

Great Hotel on a so so location”
Our stay was great in this hotel. Spacious room and nice balcony. Staff are nice too. If they put exhaust fan on the toilet to eliminate the odor after the call of nature. That would be great. Have at least 2 pillows per bed too. Overall everything is still excellent!

5th time in Panglao and first time to really experience the island life thanks to the wonderful host of this hotel, and its stay-in residents + their friends. Bfast food is wonderful - loved the simplicity of grilled cheese sandwich. A bit of a walk to the beach but it’s okay if you’re looking for value for money and immersing in the island life. Can do better with the pillows for a better good night sleep though! Will def go back and reco to friends - esp for those looking to stay longer in Panglao! 💗

Pros: Room is spacious and all hardware/fixtures in the bathroom are relatively new. Nice big private balcony with fan. The staff was very friendly and polite. Cons: The location is practical, being close to the main road with many restaurants and convenience stores, but otherwise very loud! Just next to the hotel is a construction site. They start after 7:00 a.m. and continue sometimes into the night. On the other side of the hotel is a dog which barks non-stop, sometimes for 20 minutes. Everyone seemed to be slamming their doors, even in the middle of the night. New towels weren't provided automatically - we had to ask for them.

There was a grasshopper in our room during our stay, and when we asked for towels, we found it full of ants. And for once, the toilet was out of water. The staff and the owner were super friendly, but not exactly helpful. I wish I knew better.
