This hotel was the best hotel we’ve stayed in here in Japan! ”
Best hotel we’ve stayed in here in Japan! Room was perfect, went above and beyond for our expectations of cleanliness! On top of it being already immaculate it was cleaned thoroughly everyday! We had an option if we wanted our room not to be cleaned, simple cleaning (Fresh towels & minimal cleaning & then a clean where you can request to have your sheets changed). We got a bag of razors, ladies set, toothbrush & toothpaste etc refreshed every day & was able to take home! Washing machine & dryer on the basement level (Cheap compared to other hotels) and there was also a restaurant right out the front of the hotel! I can’t recommend nd this hotel enough!!! We loved our stay here so much! If we come back to Japan/Kyoto well 100% stay here again! Thankyou for the amazing service Hotel Resol xxx

Great hotel for a great price, highly recommend!”
We throughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Resol. From the moment we checked in until we checked out, we were impressed with the staff, our rooms and the cleanliness of the entire hotel. We would recommend this hotel for anyone traveling to Kyoto. The location was also perfect for hitting all the popular tourist spots with lots of restaurants within walking distance. If we are ever in Kyoto again, we will definitely be staying at Hotel Resol again!!

Lovely hotel - great value for money!”
Great little hotel in a really good location in Kyoto. Walking distance to all the sights, hotel is lovely, modern inside, nice rooms, very comfortable beds, smells great as soon as you enter! Great value for money, washing facilities. However no view from rooms (at least from ours) however rooms have all you need, really comfortable and you are out all day sightseeing anyway so would definitely recommend this hotel.

I've been looking forward to staying with this property since I booked it. I spent 2 weeks in Japan in January and my stay here is the most impressive. The staff were nothing but sweet and helpful, the beds were the comfiest I've slept in a really long time (that I actually went up to the front desk to ask what brand of beds they were)! & the outlook of the whole place is 100%. I'll be back, most definately! Thank you for making my stay a memorable one in your own way!

Hotel room itself is not big, so might not be good for huge suitcases. The location is great and is very close to Shijo subway station. Within walking distance of Nishiki Market. We enjoyed the walk all the way to Gion too. Great great breakfast !!! Breakfast is served at their Italian restaurant. Love both the Japanese and Western style items. Very good snappers, miso soup and curry in the morning. Pasta is cooked al dante, which is my favorite.

AWESOME STAY”
The front desk staffs were friendly, and really near to subway. Throughout the whole trip most of the time we were just travelling by walking as the location is ideal. The room exceeded our expectations, not as small as other hotel rooms in Japan. They also put in small efforts in terms of the amenities (the toiletries are packed in very cute Japanese styled pouches and we can even bring them home!) . Free coffee and vending machine at lobby. We felt very welcomed and really pleased with the stay.

Lovely and modern traditional ”
This hotel was a great mix of modern and traditional. Staff were lovely and helpful. Location is a little more in the business area but there’s still plenty to do and see. Rooms are a little on the small side but were very comfortable with complementary tea. I would stay here again.

It’s a boutique hotel so not a lot of frills. Which is fine by me, especially when it’s a city hotel and you’re out all day and hardly in the room. Reminds me a lot do the Hoxton brand hotels that we’ve stayed at in Paris and London. Most comfortable beds EVER. Two full beds pushed together and you each have your own comforter. Location is great too, and they have a FamilyMart ( like Walgreens) right next door. We stocked up on drinks and snacks since the hotel has an empty mini fridge. I would definitely stay here again without a doubt.

Quiet location”
Beautiful small hotel. Good coffee machine at the lobby near the smoking room. Breakfast is very good. Our room has tatami and we not allow to put luggage on tatami. Our luggage is 81cm tall and we can't open it in our room so we had to take it to hallway to grab our stuff.

the bed was super comfy, and the hotel was just 5 min walk away from the subway station. I liked the atmosphere most of all, and would definitely come back if I get the chance to travel to Kyoto. All the shopping districts/restaurants are within walking distance.

Very clean and new hotel with some typical japanese decorations - bonsai, stones... very nice! Room was big just enough but very clean and comfy. Bathroom with all amenities. Nice design of rooms and hotel. Great breakfast in small italian restaurant on the basement.

Very aesthetically pleasing hotel in a quiet neighbourhood. Room is always clean and comfy. The free coffee was also yummy! Only con is the room size where I am unable to keep my luggage opened. But this is just a small issue!

Pros : very nice building, it's new, they have complimentary coffee at lobby, classy room (modern yet got japanese style touch, which is interesting for foreigners), a very nice room with reasonable price, near train station Cons : my room's restroom got some weird unpleasant smell at the moment entered Overall a very good hotel, value for money, it was almost perfect for me except for the weird smell at my restroom
