very close to Hakata station!”
of all the hotels i have stayed so far, hotel route inn hakata ekimae is the closet to transportation hub. i think it is probably the hotel that is located closet to the hakata station. 1 min walk from the hakata bus terminal. which is very convenient, especially tourist information. we went back and forth to the tourist information throughout our stay because it was so close. the breakfast was nice. various dishes were provided. however, it was so packed that we had to share a table with other people. the hotel has a public bath but we unfortunately did not have time to try it. the room is probably too small if you have a big luggage. other than that everything was nice and clean. from the view of our room, we could see the hakata city just right across the street. very nice in the evening because there was illumination.
Excellent hotel for the money. Great location.”
I love the Hotel Route Inn chain and this one is no exception. First, there's the excellent location. Two subway stops from the airport, and from the train station, it is just across the street. There's even a covered walkway, so you're spared the elements in bad weather. Tip: if you travel Japan by rail, look for hotels that are 'ekimae', which means in front of the (train) station. There's a convenience store across the street and plenty of restaurants around, not to forget the dozens at Hakata City. There's also a free onsen in the basement. Japanese style breakfast is included, which is not always the case with other hotels. There's free wifi that works in your room, and doesn't keep asking you to log in after a period of inactivity. I left the hotel in the same chain in Sapporo, and once I arrived at this one, I was immediately and automatically connected because my phone still remembered the SSID from Sapporo. Way cool.
Great location near station”
Rooms here are small but comfortable. A great budget option. Internet was available and free coffee in the lobby. My favourite feature was the hot spring in the basement. There is also a decent breakfast served in the hotel restaurant. It is an awesome location for someone arriving to Hakata station or someone who needs to catch a flight from Fukuoka airport.
Perfect location with good service”
My friends and I stayed at this hotel after the spring course. We loved the public bath. The female public bath must use the special key card to enter the room. The laundry is available inside the public bath. Only one washing machine and one dryer machine in the female public bath. The staff is very nice to open the door of the female public bath. The hotel is very near to Hakata Station. Elevators are available for crossing the road. The breakfast was fine, but we love how convenient the hotel is. The location is great! I will definitely return to stay at this hotel whenever I return to Hakata.
Great location but sadly hardest bed of my life.”
I want to say nice things about Hotel Route Inn but sadly the good aspects were overshadowed by the terribly hard beds. For me a westerner, the 'mattresses' didn't seem like mattresses. It seemed like maybe the springbox underneath and they'd forgotten to put a mattress on it. It was so hard it was like fence planks. I should note that it seemed to be doing a healthy trade with Japanese business men - maybe they are ok with the harder beds? So if you like a hard bed, by all means, this hotel is otherwise fine. It's in a great location next to the train station. It was clean. Breakfast was good - both the western options and a few of the Japanese things I tried over our 3 days there. Also note that breakfast options change slightly day-to-day so maybe people who say breakfast was bad just were unlucky that day. If you like a softer mattress and your sleep is important to you, sadly I can't recommend Hotel Route Inn Hakata. Other options are nearby on all sides.
A most convenient hotel in Hakata”
We stayed 4nights at this hotel and it rained every day, but, we did not get wet at all. The hotel is connected to the main train station by an elevated covered walkway and it was not problem rolling our bags to the hotel. The walkway is also connected to the main bus depot and a large mall. There are large malls in the train station as well. We also caught a local train to Tenjin and Canel City Shopping complexes without getting wet. Food stalls all over the city and in the train station and we enjoyed every one of them. We had a great stay in Hakata, all because of the great location of this hotel.
Great in every way”
The location is great - very close to Hakata station and bus terminal center. Breakfast is another reason I love here - traditional Japanese one with rice, many side dishes including grilled fish, soup, eggroll, etc. And of course, tasty bread, too. Room is clean, very small, but acceptable considering notorious room size of Japanese hotels.
Clean & convenient ”
Near to Hakata main transportation hub. Toyota Rent A Car Hakata outlet just next building. From airport to the hotel, you can either take the orange line subway (2 stations to Hakata) or public bus (on the left outside arrival hall) which cost 260yen per person.
Thank you for staying with us and taking the time to share a comment regarding your stay. We are happy that you enjoyed our prime location right in front of Hakata station, and are looking forward to welcoming you again at Route Inn Hotels. Best regards, Front Clerk Santoyo
Great stay, excellent location”
Absolutely no complaints about this hotel. The best thing is the location: literally steps away from Hakata Station, the hub to everywhere. Staff was friendly and professional (and spoke English quite well), rooms were clean and comfortable, and the food was good. We would definitely stay there again.
A great hotel worth returning”
We walked past the hotel when we exited the Hakata subway station expecting the hotel to be at least a block away. To our surprise, the hotel is just few steps away from the subway station. It's so conveniently located and there's even a convenient store just opposite the hotel. The Japanese breakfast is superb and lots of choices to select from. Such a great hotel!
nice location & free onsen”
overall good, taking bus is more convenient than train, the bus station is just in front of the hotel, distance is nearer than train station. especially during transit from/to airport. Bus station Level 1, no. 13 to take the bus to Fukuoka international airport only 260Yen
Excellent”
The hotel is very well located in the heart of Hakata city, 3-5 mins walk from JR station. The lobby is quite small maybe because there were many guests crowding at the lobby when I check in around 5pm. There were alot of luggages stored at the conceirge and the luggages overflowed and were partially blocking the lift access. There is a small onsen facility located in B1 of the hotel. A good way to relax after whole day of shopping.
Location”
5 min walk from Hakata JR station.Easy to travel around and underground shopping.Family mart just nearby.Room is small but clean.Staffs are friendly. Will be stay again if i back to Hakata for my next trip to japan.
Wonderful location”
Very near the Hakata Station. Walk from station to hotel via a foot bridge. very convenient. Good security in the public bath for ladies. free LAN, Wifi only provided at lobby. breakfast is average. To conclude, a very cost effective choice.
Nice hotel with good price”
the hotel is near Hakata JR and underground train stations, great location. easy access to any part of the city of Fukuoka and other areas of Kyushu. It provides breakfast and free hotspring. The staff is friendly and helpful. Comparing other hotels near Hakata Station, the price is very competitive.
Typical small japanese room”
It was so easy to find this hotel when we came out from JR Hakata station. All staffs were very helpful and it was a nice place to stay in the city.
perfect location”
convenience location opposite to Hakata station, close to shopping area more variety of breakfast Japanese and Western, you can use onsen in the hotel, no wifi in room just in lobby
Very convenient with hot spring ”
Very convenient as it’s just next to the station and bus terminal. I like the hot spring and there’s a free welcome drink coupon. I definitely will stay here again if I go to Fukuoka!
Convenient”
It is a hotel with a very good location. Just walk a few minutes to the Hakata Jr Station and the bus station. The room is big enough and clean with a modern decoration. Is there 2 beds in the room and the size is enough for sleep. This hotel is Centrally located. The staffs are very friendly and helpful and the hotel is there all restaurants around.
Warm hospitality and passionate on helping customers.”
Great positioning, 3 minutes to the main station Hakata, I don't even have to cross the road or wait for any traffic light.
