We loved our stay ”
We had a wonderful time in this hotel. The only thing that we were not so happy with was the room, it was just smaller and shabbier than expected though had a spectacular view and we did not spend lots of time there. The staff were super kind and accommodating, the waiter and especially the lady were great and served us really tasty dinners. The cuisine is probably one of the highlights of this hotel and it has to be rewarded for that. Eating al fresco on terrace was a real plus. The pool is clean and large, tennis court just fine and we enjoyed it but the hotel should buy one more decent racket and a few balls! We loved the ambiance of the hotel, lots of secret corners and gardens and the stairs to the hotel are not bad at all, just a 4 min walk and than another 5 on straight road to the centre. Great exercise for the whole family before the grand dinner ! We loved our 5 days at this hotel and would definitely return. Just be prepared that if you get a classic room it will be small.

Exceptional”
The place and location is really nice. The staff are very great especially When I got an accident that cut my skin in my finger and will not stop from bleeding, the receptionist took care of me. I wish I was able to get his name. But over all, the staff are really making you feel at home. I already recommend this to my family and friends.

Nice hotel at a reasonable price. ”
This hotel is a good value. It has some great views and an easy hike down to the beach using the stairs behind the hotel. The staff is very friendly. The only issue we noticed is that the walls are paper thin so you can hear your neighbors next to you.

Beautiful hotel in beautiful Positano”
Located on the top of Positano with a nice view of the town. A bit walk downtown(400 stairs), but good bus oportunities. Large rooms with good beds and facilities. Huge pool area and tennis pitch.

Fantastic choice”
Beautiful views, fantastic pool area, friendly staff. Recommended! You do need some stamina to walk in and out of town- hundreds of steps though there is a bus shuttle service running around Positano

Gorgeous setting, not gorgeous rooms”
Admittedly we visited Positano during high season in August, so all the hotel bookings had huge price tags, but regardless we found the room to be lacking for the price. They smelled strongly of cleaning fluid, A/C barely functioned (we slept with only a sheet due to heat), and overall dated (although could just be Positano in general?). OTHERWISE, the hotel grounds and pool are gorgeous and the view is phenomenal. Additionally, this hotel is HIGH in elevation, meaning you have 500+ stairs or so to get down to sea level. If you are not very mobile, this is probably not the spot for you, but if you are mobile those stairs definitely will cancel out some of the pasta and wine ;)

Not a four star hotel ”
This hotel claimed to be a 4 star property close to the city centre with amazing views and a pool. Unfortunately this isn’t the case. The hotel is dated with a massive ant infestation in rooms. The room was okay but again old and the bathroom was minuscule. The shower would fill up after 2 minutes because the drains were that slow and we had no view whatsoever, we had a view of the building’s roof. There are 400 steps to get to the city centre and takes about 25 minutes. We had to eat at the restaurant one evening due to storms and the food was embarrassingly bad. I had a simple pasta dish which was microwaved and even then it was stodgy and lukewarm when served. To use the pool you have to pay €3.50 for a swimming cap, something they didn’t tell us until we arrived so I never swam, positano is expensive enough without sneaky, unnecessary add ons. This review is nothing against the staff, they were all pleasant and helpful but avoid this hotel at all costs, it is not a 4 star hotel.

Outdated and closed facilities ”
The hotel is incredibly dated and in need of modernisation. Everything from the room, the facilities, hallways & even the hairdryers had seen far better days. Literally everything is in need of replacing. I stay in a lot of hotels and this was one that I feel did not meet the value for money at all. The pool area & tennis was completely closed, to which we received no prior warning to. The positives are that the hotel is located directly on the bus route. Which is very helpful given the hills in Positano. The beds are comfy and the room is a good size.

Deceiving”
Not quite what you expect from the pictures. Be prepared to have your car taken away while you stay here. Staff is rude, facilities old and run down. It is a shame in such a beautiful place. Will not recommend this hotel at all.

Domina Inn Review”
As a hotel it was pretty good, the main problem was the distance from the main tourist areas of Positano, i.e. the beach and restaurants/shopping areas down near the beach. The breakfast at the hotel was quite good, the rooms were good and the shower was good too. The hotel has an odd layout and we had to follow a winding path down and up stairs to our room from the lift. We also had to carry our luggage up and down these stairs. If I were to come to Positano again I may choose a hotel closer to the beach as it was a fairly long walk down winding stairs to get to the beach area, similar to the katoomba bushwalks in Australia if you've ever been on one! On the other hand I'm not sure if the SITA bus that takes you back to Sorrento goes much further down to the beach area than where the Domina Inn is located, I don't see how it could fit. So if you have a lot of luggage it might be better to stay up at the top of the hill, especially if you don't mind walking, a lot...

Welcoming reception with a spacious room”
Hotel located at a bit upside of the town but the staffs were so welcoming and attentive - helped us with luggage and parking every time we needed. Especially, Mario at the reception was so kind. Our stay included breakfast and lunch and it seemed it was not communicated well with the restaurant but he directly talked to the restaurant and solved issue immediately. During our stay, reception knew what we needed and, before asking, they always offered us things such as wifi connection, parking, luggage carrying and etc.

nice place”
it was not easy to find the place with our navigation. But hotel was good. we had to pay extra 20 euros for parking, but it was most probably cheaper than around on the streets.

Expect more for the money”
We’d imagine this was once a very luxurious hotel but an upgrade and refurbishment of the rooms is desperately needed. Chips, cracks etc were evident everywhere and for the price you pay, you would expect better. Walls and doors seem paper thin as well. Breakfast was really good and the views were great as well. Location may be an issue for some as it’s right at the top of the town and is hard work with lots of steps back and forth. Some fantastic restaurants close by.

Good experience”
The Hotel is in a good position provided you don't mind a bit of a walk down to the beach and where most of the restaurants are. It is a 509 step walk down to the pharmacy in the central area where the bus goes (we counted!).I was there with my wife and we like being a bit away from the hustle and bustle and the central tourist areas so this suited us perfectly. We were there in peak season and to be honest were a little underwhelmed with the quality of our room considering the price we paid. That said, the breakfast is really good (freshly sliced prosciutto amongst other things) and the pool is lovely (however you have to wear a swimming cap!! Who does that??). Overall a good hotel experience but an average room.

Nice staff and hotel location not the best ”
Great hotel, nice pool and amenities and clean. Beds could be a lot nicer though and location is a bit far from main attractions.
