Could be really nice, needs some care”
Good location between beaches and Galle Fort, hotel has big rooms and really nice pool. Air con in the room locked and said we had to pay extra for it, room was unbearable hot without it was awful. One really nice porter, helped with everything the rest of the staff were kind of useless. Reception couldn't call us a taxi, said they didn't have a number of a taxi, seems a bit ridiculous. Hotel a bit dirty and just not being looked after well.

Mismanaged Potential”
Solid location with great views of the water. And construction is relatively new. Bathroom was reasonably clean with hot water. If they can get their game together this could be a great property. Unfortunately some major issues. 1) Bedding is wholly unacceptable. No sheets - just a blanket that didn't look washed. 2) Staff is sweet but clueless. Don't expect them to perform basic tasks like recommending a store or calling a taxi (a rikshaw is possible, however) 3) Breakfast is waiting whether you like it or not - two visits to my door and a phone call to tell me breakfast is ready ... an hour before my requested wakeup call. 4) Its really noisy. Really really noisy. 5) No maid service at all - so that means trash isn't cleared or towels changed etc. over the course of the stay. 6) Garage check in - everything seemed under construction, reception is off the car park which is a little weird. - Hope they get their game together, because it could be a nice place to stay with a little work!

Overpriced and overrated”
Close to the old city, the bathroom and a nice bed.
A very strange experience. Entrance is through the garage since the whole entrance floor is still under construction. The staff was very confused and ineffective and the breakfast was really poor. Some fruit, a jar of strwberry jam, totally green hardboiled eggs and toast. That was it. And of course the Sri Lankan very weak and tealike coffee and some teabags. Not a very three star breakfast. The rooms could be much better with a bit of cleening.

Hotel with a future”
Location, new rooms, fairly inexpensive
For a overnight stay to see galle this hotel was nice, newly revamped although it still has someway to go with a few floors not accessible. Staff were sometimes difficult to converse with but what can you do when your in a different country?? Main problem with staff were sometimes clueless to basic needs like a thin duvet or sheet to cover yourself with when you sleep or knocking on your door at 7.30am just to tell you theirs a big ship in the port or ringing your room 3 times to tell you breakfast is ready but I'm sure with some support and more experience they will overcome this. Good location with a tuk tuk to the fort in about 5 minutes. The bottom window of the bathroom were just vent panels so our room was constantly swarming with Mosquitos so I think they need some solution to this as we couldn't close the bathroom doors as there was no handle on them. Other than that I would bring ear plugs as this is one of the many hotels in Sri Lanka that has a lot of traffic outside and this is not the hotels fault but be prepared.
