3 days 2 nights staying at Sentral hoel”

bathroom cleanliness, Complimentary, and access

It was a great 3 days staying at sentral Hotel. The location was really near to the KL sentral station (10 minutes walk) which the train can bring you directly to the airport and less than a minute walk (across the street) to the monorail station which can bring you anywhere you want to. There is ABC restaurant near the monorail station so you can have your food easily, pharmacy (if needed) maybe 100 meters away, and also a small store near the hotel to buy your needs. Our Taxi driver said that Hotel Sentral Area was Kuala lumpur Little India. The hotel was good although it has old air conditioner system. It has a very clean bathroom with amenities (except tooth brush and tooth paste)and also hot and cold water on their shower. their are also an electric water boiler with coffee, tea, and 2 bottles of water as a compliment every day. Also they have safety deposit box if you need to safe your stuffs. But most of all staying at this hotel for a low budget (like me) was a very pleasant day in Kuala Lumpur. The Hotel need RM 50 for deposit at your check-in and can be refunded when you check out. Thank you Sentral Hotel, Brickfield, KL Sentral

comfy room, awesome location”

room, location and service

i stayed for 4 nights and 5 days at hotel sentral. the location is just amazing. close to monorail station, about 5 minutes walk to the latest shopping mall, nu sentral and also to kl sentral station. i do have to admit that some of the alleys nearby need to be in a little more cleaner and hygienic environment. there are still some renovating work on the monorail station so hopefully when it completes, the municipal department would take note of the surroundings and its cleanliness. there is an abundant amount of eateries just below the hotel including small stalls and carts that sell all sorts of stuff, not just food. however, do take care of your personal belongings. i stayed on the 6th floor and the hotel room is so comfortable and quite spacious. i had asked for a big bed and a smoking room, and it was awesome. although, i do have to admit the roofing outside my room gave out scary sounds during the heavy storm. the bathroom was just nice with lovely toileteries (although they could use with a toothbrush and toothpaste set). the hotel services were friendly and all smiles. the housekeeping did not take long to make up my room. i also loved how they conveniently have a basement parking lot because i had hired a car for the weekend so it was easy for me to park the vehicle without having to worry if i parked it outside. plus, hotel tenants don't have to pay a dime. this hotel is definitely an amazing value for money. a big standard room for less than RM100 is really terrific. i had breakfast buffet on the 5th floor and it cost me RM24 but the menu selection was quite alright. it would be nicer, though, if they served more variety such as fried mee hoon, pasta or nasi lemak perhaps (or maybe i had missed the nasi lemak buffet on one of the mornings i woke up late). overall, i would definitely stay here again in the near future and recommend this hotel to my friends. thank you for an amazing stay, hotel sentral!

Another comfortable stay!”

Comfort level, location, safety.

This is our 5th stay at the Hotel Sentral. Still was very comfortable and pleasant as our previous stays. This time our room was supposed to be windowless but hey, we were glad to find two narrow ones flanking the bed! A newly refurbished mamak shop can now be found just in front of the hotel, and of course there are many eateries available around the hotel, if you're looking for something more local. For those who plan to go on a shopping spree, start with the newly opened Nu Sentral. There are many more fully-operational shops this time around. Done with Nu Sentral? Hop onto either the KTM, LRT or Monorail to start exploring other parts of Kuala Lumpur. MidValley is just one KTM station away too. All in all, Hotel Sentral will always be our 1st option if we were to drop by KL for some shopping and catching up with friends :)

Nice Hotel with great location, good service&staff”

Great Location, Neat and Clean, Good service

I stayed alongwith my husband had a business trip to Kuala Lumpur for 2 months. As the duration was small, did not get any rental apartment and hence we stayed in this hotel. We booked the superior room. Though the room was small but neat and clean. Daily room service is always on time. Bed is everyday done very nicely. It was nice to see the bed and room cleaned and made up when we returned back from work. The location of the hotel is also good. Just a few steps away from Monorail station and very near to KL Sentral station as well. There are lots of indian restaurant also near the hotel, so food was also not a problem. Staff is also very helpful and friendly. I would recommend the hotel for anybody visiting Kuala Lumpur.

It's about the location”

The Hotel Sentral (Brickfields) is in a brilliant location for travellers who do not demand four star facilities. It's a short walk from the rail platforms and bus bays at KL Sentral station, up to the first floor of the station complex, then through the Nu Sentral Mall, down a lift over the othger side of Jalan Tun Sambanthan, then 70 metres down a side street next to the Monorail Station, which leads to Jalan Thambipillai. The rooms are clean and adequate (as is the breakfast), the staff helpful and the views from high floors excellent. The monorail going to the Bukit Bintang shopping precinct is literally next door. The fairly down-market location in KL's Little India is full of life, and in Jalan Thambipillai are several excellent Chinese, nasi kandar and Indian restaurants. There are other excellent restaurants nearby, including the Gem and Legend Claypot Biryani. Five small 7-11 type shops are within 100 metres of the hotel, and the Nu Sentral Mall holds Tom's Groceria, a huge supermarket. There's an excellent tour/taxi operator in the lobby of the Sentral, and reliable moneychangers nearby as well. I have made the Hotel Sentral a KL stopover base for 2-4 nights several times in my frequent Air Asia flights - just too convenient to go past it.

Good Location. Friendly Staff.”

Close to the new shopping mall - NU Sentral. Centrally Located - Close to Public Transportation. Clean Room and Friendly Staff.

The place is an Indian town and that was not a problem because the staff of the hotel were so nice. KLIA2 is just 33 minutes away from KL Sentral through KL Ekspres. We paid 35RM/way. The hotel is just 5-10 minutes away (if you walk) from the KL Sentral station of KL Ekspres. Across Hotel Sentral, there is a newly built shopping mall - NU Sentral that had Uniqlo, H&M, Sephora, Cotton On, etc. The mall has a supermarket and a pharmacy and a whole lot more. Everything we needed was there. There is also OLD TOWN WHITE COFFEE, KK Supermart and 7-11 around the hotel that were open 24 hours. You can never go hungry for there are food stalls, hawkers around the place too. The buffet breakfast though was not really international. The selection was mainly composed of Malaysian food like Roti Canai, Dhal, etc. They had sausages, boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, omelette, and cereals though. Checking in and checking out was so fast. I got all my request - Non-Smoking, High Floor, etc.

modern and comfortable hotel”

modern , good transport links, quiet area, nice food
room decorations were badly finished

I stayed at this hotel for a weekend break in Kuala Lumpur. Since I was coming from an Air Asia flight it was very convenient to the transit bus terminal at KL Sentral Station. Reception was very efficient and gave me exactly the room I asked for i.e large bed and non smoking. The room was on the 14th floor, which was the non-smoking floor. The room and the bed covers were very clean, and for a budget hotel the bathroom accessories were comprehensive. The TV was a large screen LCD (wall mounted), although it lacked English Language channels (other than 1 sports channel and a movie channel). The buffet breakfast (included in the room price) was really excellent and comprehensive for all tastes. Egg dishes were prepared on the spot , and the staff were helpful and friendly.

Hotel in Excellent Location”

Right Next to KL Sentra

I stayed here for three nights and found it be quite good. Even though my room was small and lacked any windows, it was very comfortable and more than adequate for my needs. The location is excellent since it is right by KL Sentral which is the main train hub for getting around Kuala Lumpur and the KL Monorail. The hotel is also really convenient since if you take one of the buses than run between Kuala Lumpur International Airport and KL Sentra, you're very close to the hotel. In addition, if you have valuables, you can leave with the front desk and they'll keep in a safe. There are also many local restaurants around that will serve you an excellent meal for a pretty cheap price. There is also a small internet cafe right across the street next door to a barber shop for those who didn't bring a computer with them. The only downside is that as of August 2012, the hotel was undergoing renovation so if you're there during the day, you'll hear lots of construction but it stops in the evening so there should be no sleep disruption.

Great hotel in a sketchy location”

Friendly staff, decent rooms, working air conditioning, nice bathroom

my friend and i were spending one night in kl, and so we decied to book a hotel as close to kl sentral train station as possible. we found hotel sentral and booked it based upon reviews and photos. our train arrived late, so we were walking from the train station at around 11pm and the neighborhood was definitely unsafe. we were lightly harrassed, cat-called, etc. h our room was decently sized, the bathroom was nice, shower was hot, air conditioning worked, coffee/tea/water in room, etc. for a budget hotel, it was really great, and the close proximity to the train station was a definite plus. my one recommendation would be to take a taxi to get there! don't walk the neighborhood at night!

Location location location”

Location: so close to KL Sentral train station, AirAsia airport bus, monorail Good value for money
TV needed tuning, Safety deposit box was locked when we arrived

This hotel is in a great location. 5 min walk from AirAsia airport bus dropoff at KL Sentral. 1 min to Monorail station, a few stops on the Monorail to Bukit Bintang with great food. If you want to explore the area on foot don't be scared off by the uninviting road layout. You can walk across to the Museum Negara and to the Lake Gardens in about 20 Minutes - if you know where to go. Don't trust the reception who tells you you need a taxi, don't trust the information counter at KL Sentral who sends you in the wrong direction (which gets you there but is a big annoying detour). Directions: walk from the hotel back to KL Sentral, take the escalator up and follow the same direction to the end of the station, turn left, when you reach the road with the dropoff points look to your right and you will find signs pointing you in the right direction. Once you get to the museum there is a pedestrian underpass to the Lake Gardens under the major highway.

Perfectly located, absolute best value for money”

Location, Clean, Good value for money

Hotel sentral is definitly my first choice in Kuala Lumpur. Central, literally in front of the Monorail station and few minutes away from "KL Sentral station" with quick access to everywhere in KL (Bukit Bintag in 10min, Mid Valley in 5 min from KL Sentral station, Batu caves in 25min, Times square shopping mall 7min, Pavillon Shopping Mall and from there Petronas towers, Bangsar in 5 to 10 min with Taxi). 30min away from/to KLIA aiport with Airport express (35MYR one way). There are even Check-in counters directly at the station (Malysian airlines, Emirates and some other airlines) so that you don't bother carrying your luggage all the way to the airport. Room are large enough for 2 people with Luggage, Very clean and comfortable. Breakfast buffet is quite standard but ok with choices of Chinese and Indian food, Egg stand for fried eggs and omelette, fruits and some pastries, coffee and tee + juice. Absolute value for money. Can't beat it.

Great Location for KL”

Staff - Location - Value

We stayed in Hotel Sentral for 2 nights in December. The location is great for KL Sentral Station, airport transfers and the monorail. We arrived very late the first night and when we requested a non-smoking room, none were available. I will definitely be sure to request a non-smoking room prior to arrival next time as being a non-smoker the smoking room was quite wiffy. The staff were very friendly and moved us to a no smoking room the following day, which was much cleaner and larger. The rooms are nice with wi-fi, refridgerator, tea/coffee facilities and flat screen TV. Breakfast is included and is a buffet with plenty to choose from. There are also some nice indian restuarants in the surrounding area and a minimart next door. We would certainly stay here again next time we are in KL, the location is perfect for exploring KL and at 30 euro per night the hotel is excellent value.

Value for money near the central train station”

I visited KL last week for one night and some meetings the next day. I was looking for a hotel near the Sentral Station so after my meetings I could easily catch the KLIA express train back to the airport. I booked the Sentral Hotel thinking that it was internally connected to the station. I wasn't actually connected, but I enjoyed the hotel anyway and for the low price It worked out just fine. If you've been to KL you know that its impossible to go anywhere in a straight line. This was no different :) It was a short looping taxi ride from the station. The room was large and clean and had a good desk for working on my laptop. I found a tasty restaurant across the street (ABC Banana Leaf Bistro) that served a good nasi goring and cold beer. Breakfast at the hotel was good (more Asian, less western). Overall I was happy and will book there again.

confortamble”

nice cheap clean

Housing the largest railway station in Southeast Asia, KL Sentral is a transit-oriented development that’s best known as the transfer point for most major rail systems serving Kuala Lumpur. One of the most easily accessible and convenient locations in the city, tourists often refer to the station as a gateway to and from KLIA. Home to a wide range of first-class hotels like Carcosa Seri Negara as well as downmarket ventures like Hotel Sentral, the area is one of the most convenient accommodation locations in the city.

Neat & Clean Hotel - Right next to transport hub”

Clean, Air-conditioned and good customer service

I been to KL many times, but this is the first time I stayed at this hotel. Very impressed with their neat & clean environment, quite rooms and customer service. Wifi was available - there was bit of dropout but overall it worked very well. Hotel doesn't have its own business centre, but a small shop opposite to this hotel provides all basic facilities, like photocopying, printing etc. and they are cheap. KL Sentral station is nearby (5 to 6 minutes walk) and monorail station is just opposite to the hotel (2 minutes walk) so you can literally go anywhere. Hop-on-Hop-off bus' stop number 11 (@ KL Sentral Station) gives another charm. Some cheap street restaurants are at the doorstep.

1-min walk from hotel to monorail, 5-6 min walk from KL sentral station, nice clean rooms, good service, value for money
could use just a bit bigger bathroom. Under-staffed breakfast lounge

We stayed from 18th to 23rd May'10 in Sentral. The stay was quite pleasant. Main attraction was the location. The hotel is just about a minute walk from the KL sentral monorail station, and also a 5 minute walk from the KL sentral station. The room we had on the 14th floor was very nice, cozy. the bed was very comfy. they cleaned it quite well. The service staff were quite helpful and prompt. However, we were quite surprized by no one picking up the phone in the reception couple of times. The breakfast lounge was quite good. the food was quite okay. Liked the idea of having local sweets on the menu. but the lounge was definitely under-staffed. but the guys who were working there, were trying hard to serve everyone. I would definitely stay here again!

modern, comfortable, inexpensive, good location

the hotel is very conveniently located next to the monorail station, and only a block further from kl sentral, the main transportation hub for buses and trains. so traveling into town – bukit bintang, chinatown, klcc – is very easy. it is also convenient for an overnight stay from the airport (although the airport bus, 8 rm, into town takes one hour), since almost no inexpensive hotels are available at the airport. hotel sentral is modern, clean, very comfortable, and adequately spacious. wifi is free in the rooms. there is not much in the way of night life in this part of kl (somewhat true of kl in general), but the local eateries are more than sufficient. the manager kindly upgraded me to a normal “superior” room with window, with an excellent view.

Big rooms with excellent customer service.”

2 Single beds in one room, very good location near KL Sentral.

We stayed at Hotel Sentral for 3 nights. Although the location of the hotel is excellent (less then 10 minutes' walk from KL Sentral train station and 2 minutes' walk from the KL Sentral monorail station), the road leading from the monorail station to the hotel was full of suspicious-looking people and was not very safe-looking. Otherwise, the staff at the hotel were very friendly, housekeeping was always punctual and did a good job at cleaning the room. We had a small fridge in our room and also a water boiler. Check-in was a seamless process after I had booked on Agoda. Took me less than 3 minutes to check-in.
