Hotel Shin Imamiya is literally a few steps away from Shin Imamiya station. Took the Nankai line from the airport, no need for transfers plus there's an elevator which is really convenient if you have heavy luggage. Mega Don Quijote is a few blocks away (near Dobotsuen-mae station) and their stuff is cheaper than the ones in Dotonbori. Walk a little bit more and you will be at Shinsekai. One station away from Namba and you're already at Shinsaibashi and Dotonbori. I stayed in the single room which has good AC. It was still a bit hot when I arrived, so I used the cold function but after a few days the temp dropped to 15 degrees, so I used the heater function. It would be good to stay here during the winter. The only problem I had was that the hallway smelled of cigarette smoke although it is a non-smoking area. Other than that, I had a very pleasant stay. Will book here again when I go back in Osaka.
Nice location, Good price. But no socket in room.”
It only takes around an hour to travel from Kansai International Airport to Shin-Imamiya Station if you take the Nankai Line. Great that it was a direct train so you don't have to drag your heavy luggages ups and downs to change platforms. Need only 2 minutes to walk from JR Shin-Imamiya Station to the hotel. There are two Convenient Stores nearby. Its really convenient. I booked a capsule for 1 person during my 1-night stay at the hotel and I was assigned to an individual room which includes a capsule single pod, a table, a chair and a small cabinet. There was even a small TV in your pod! These has been out of my expectation than those capsule hotel I have stayed before. I am so happy to have assigned to an individual room as I was travelling on my own. There are shower rooms for female only but there is no hairdryer so you have to bring your own. The shower rooms and toilets are clean and tidy. They got the shower gel and shampoo ready in the shower room already. I was shocked to note that there was no sockets in my room or in the capsule pod. Glad that I was only staying here for 1 night and I have brought my portable charger. Overall, its worth for money and would be a nice choice for a short stay. There are individual rooms available in this hotel too.
We stayed here for 5 days and 4 nights. Hotel is very near the train (ie Nankai & JR Lines) and subway (ie Midosuji Line) transportations. It’s also near the Mega Don Quijote which is a good place to buy different stuff. The space of a double standard room is enough for couple. Amenities and facilities are okay. Included breakfast is worthy for the money paid for but needs more variation. Staff are accommodating especially those in the cafe/restaurant. They have luggage area that you can store your luggages while waiting for the check-in time and should you need to leave it after check-out. But you need to be mindful and exercise more trust since Hotel is not responsible for any losses/damages. With our stay, we left and got our luggages intact/complete. Overall, Hotel Shin Imamiya is a good place to stay in Osaka and will still consider it once we returned. Thank you!
Good place to stay at for solo travelers”
Hotel Shin-Imamiya is very conveniently located near the train station so it's easy to get around the city. one thing to consider is of course the sounds of the train coming in and our of the station. if you're a very light sleeper or want total silence, then please take this into consideration. the bath tub and the room itself is cozy and has basic necessities. the receptionists are very very friendly and thank you Hotel Shin-Imamiya for the free coffee and toiletries! definitely worth it. if you're the type of traveler who wants to stay at a hotel/hostel within walking distance from Shinsaibashi//Dotonbori, then please reconsider; this hotel is over 30mins away by foot but is only one train ride away.
Very excellent hotel in budget acommodation ”
I really recommend this hotel for everyone who requires budget place in Osaka. It's only a few steps from Shin-Imamiya station ( Nankai Railway from Kansai airport & JR station) .There is one supermarket nearby (Super Tamade), which sells various foods both fresh materials & ready-to-eat foods in very cheap price. Hotel provides public Bath( Onsen)& sauna. Double pod room is not bad equipped with TV in the sleeping pod(capsule).
Fourth time staying here. This hotel always be my only option for budgeted hotel. Location is great and just walked 1 min to shin imamiya station. You can reach JR line and nankai line which direct to kansai airport. Near from family mart also. I had stayed last August with my friends, and one of them left her watch below the blanket on the day of check out. Fortunately, the staff kept it and when I came again, I can bring the watch to my friend in my country.. anyway, they also give voucher for takoyaki after checking in which the stand is at the left-front of the hotel. Definetely will stay here again when i come back to Osaka.
Thank you for staying at Hotel Shin-Imamiya and giving us your feedback. We are always working hard to improve our facilities and services and are very happy you enjoyed your stay. We hope you choose us again when you come back to Osaka.
Best Capsule Ever”
1) Direct train from Kansai Intl. Airport. 2) 5 mins train to Namba (1 stop). 3) 1 mins walk from Shin-Imamiya Station. 4) Multi-language speaking receptionists. 5) Space to store baggages before check in time/after check out. 6) Capsule sleeping pod with ur own room (privacy). However U have limited space to move around inside the room. U get what u pay, I'm ok with it. 7) Bath room & toilet always in clean condition. 8) 24hr Family mart within 3mins walking distance.
Good location, friendly staff, good value for money”
Hotel is near Shin Imamiya station, and they have friendly staff. We got capsule twin room (which do not have toilet and shower room) that includes towel but not toiletries. Pros: 1. They have currency changer 2. Hot water dispenser and microwave available 3. Refrigerator in the hallway available (We stayed in 2nd floor. I'm not sure if all floors have one) 4. Food (breakfast) is served a few minutes after ordering. Others might want to take note of the following: 1. Shared toilets do not have bidet, but they do have plenty supply of tissue. ;) 2. Towel included is too small to wrap around your body. We have two towels, with one smaller than yhe other. 3. Menu for the ones with included breakfast is limited to 4, some includes drinks and some do not. Overall, good experience. :)
This hotel was located next to Shin-Imamiya station on West exit. From Airport you can take direct train "Nankai" to this station and take elevator down on the exit the hotel will be on th right hand. The staffs are helpful and able to speak English very well. The hotel is clean and the room is spacious enough compare to its price. It has Lawson near the hotel and the night market to find good food by walking about 10 minutes from hotel too.
Good Location and Cheap”
The price is quite cheap for less than $40 per night u get a capsule but stay solo in a room. It is very near to shin imamiya train station, just went you exit the station few steps you will reach the hotel already. There is Nankai Airport express at the train station which link to Kainsai Airpot Directly. Staff are good and they can speak english and there is a nice caucassian guy at the frontdesk too. Only drawback is no aircon or at least electric fan sometimes its getting stuffy at the room.
Thank you for staying with us and giving us your feedback. We are glad to hear you enjoyed your stay and found our location convenient. The capsule room floor have central air conditioning for heating and cooling and each capsule has a small electric fan for circulation. We hope you choose us again when you come to Osaka.
Love the place..very near in all the places you want to visit..”
the price is very cheap but the service is very good..the staff are friendly and very accomodating..we have a nice and simple room..the shower room is very clean..im sure nextyear when we visit again osaka, we will surely stay in hotel shin imamiya..thankyouuu
Privacy at its best”
The price I paid is like for 8 beds in one room but its actually one bed in one room!! The space is not wide but it is very comfortable. Location is superb. From airport you will need to stop at Shin Imamiya Station and once you find the exit, turn left. I think its one minute walk to the hotel? But most of the time you will need to start your journey from Dobutsuen Station around 8-10 mins walk. Remember its exit 4 from Dobutsuen St to the hotel.
Very clear instructions from their facebook page on the directions from Shin Imamiya Station to the hotel. Less than 20 steps from the exit to hotel. Very convenient. Hotel staff spoke good english. I stayed on Level 6 which is convenient for Ladies Toilet but Shower is on 2nd floor. Capsule was clean and tidy. Can be a little noisy if you have inconsiderate travellers as room does not have a full door. A 24hrs Family Mart (convenience store) is available 20m away. Good place to get breakfast and dinner for late arrivals.
GREAT ACCESSIBILITY AND DECENT ENVIRONMENT”
Great overall, I would come back if I go to Osaka alone again. The place is literally right next to Shin Imamiya station, where most ppl would get off from Nankai train. I was given a capsule room that is rlly just a room. Unlike the warnings, it was pretty quiet overall. Public toilet is well maintained and is clean. But I did find it hard to make random friends owing to limited public areas. It was rlly warm, actually too hot for me - good thing I suppose.
Inexpensive, and convenient”
Let's face it, you are looking for a place to stay and you are arriving late into Osaka. Then this hotel doesn't fail. For the men among you, it has a sento/public bath open to 2am for late night soaking. Simple hotel, and will meet your quick one night stay before moving on to another city or location. Right next to JR Shin Imamiya
A great hotel for intermediate stay”
I arrived in Kansai area at night. I planned to visit Hokuriku area quite early next day. Not many time to stay in Kansai area. Thus I need to stay in a hotel that is very easy to reach directly by railway to save time. I found out Hotel Shin Imamiya suit my travelling plan well. However, stay in capsule room requires you to bring or buy your own accessories include shampoo, body lotion, tooth brushes etc. They can be bought from convenient shop nearby. So please note. It should be noted that for those who want to sleep well in capsule, you may hear noises from someone who talk outside your room because the room isn't totally isolated from corridor. Cover your earby earphone is good choice. Also, make sure you close the curtain of capsule. This can ensure your sleep isn't interrupted by light rays shining into the capsule room.
it's very near Shin-imamiya station on the Nankai line, u can get on Nankai airport express from Kansai direct to Shin-imamiya, then take elevator to 2F, exit and then take elevator again down to 1F, exit and turn left, the hotel is right next to the station. From the station u can walk 3-5m to Dobutsuen-mae station, from there take Midosuji line to Namba or anywhere else conveniently. I booked Japanese style room, which was clean but very small size, small bathroom too. They can serve breakfast or lunch with a fare price but i didn't try it. There's an auto machine in front of hotel where u can buy hot drinks.
Hotel is literally just beside the Shin-Imamiya station making it easier to go ANYWHERE in Osaka. This hotel is already surrounded by kombinis so whenever hunger pangs call, you can just step out and fetch a meal! It's a good starting point to Universal Studios Osaka, Harukas, Dotonbori, and even to Nara. If you love bathrooms so much, their washroom might fall a little short of your expectation. However, for its price, this hotel is definitely a good catch. :)
If you look past the area it is in (which can be a bit rundown), Hotel Shin-Imamiya is actually at a really key transit point - making it the ideal place to stay if you want to get around Osaka. Nearby, there are 24-7 restaurants, spa, and shopping options just a short walk away as well, so it can be pretty convenient if you need something in the dead of night. The hotel looks a bit old from the outside, but the rooms inside are clean (our Japanese room was very pleasant) and there are facilities for every need including a laundry room (washing and dryer included), shared microwave, onsen (public bath), etc.
Economical choice - Beware of noise level and room size in capsule rooms”
I stayed at capsule single room on 3rd floor in Hotel Shin Imamiya. With the same budget, you get a better deal in Sun Plaza (neighbouring hotel). Capsule rooms in Hotel Shin Imamiya are small and open space above each door. Voice travels in the morning when some early risers start packing and leave the room. For me like late riser, it was hard to get back into sleep. For pros, there are a shared public bath on the top floor. Very refreshing and relaxing. At the front desk, I was greeted by a Western guy who can speak Japanese and English very well. For the rest, you basically get what you pay for. I hope the hotel can do something about the noise level.
Thank you for your comment. It helps us to focus on what need to be done for our hotel services. We understand that the place is getting old and will try to improve and renovate it as quickly as possible. Thank you for staying with us. Hotel Shinimamiya
